I have the wheel and tire insurance and had two blow outs. Since I was closest to MB Manhattan and they said they had the tires in stock and would have the car back the same day I had it towed there. HU outs. Since I was closest to MB Manhattan and they said they had the tires in stock and would have the car back the same day I had it towed there. HUGE MISTAKE! The car got there at 11am according to the tow company yet it took till 5pm to get anyone frome service to return my call. After 20+ calls finally got a manager on the phone who said she would look into it and call me back in less than 10 minutes. 10 calls later and 3pm the next day finally got her on the phone. I asked them if they would be repairng the bent scratched wheels since I had the insurance, answer I got was: That will take at least 2 weeks if you want that done. In all it took them 4 days to replace 2 tires. They bent the center caps on my wheels, and lost the tow eye hook cover to my car. It took them 2 months to get one painted and mailed to me which had the worst paint job I have seen. I will never use that dealership again! More
My C280 fan died in the Bronx by the Deegan. I managed to pull into a Mobil station. I called Merceded and they gave me Roadsides phone #. I called at 5:15 pm on Friday night. I was still waiting for Mercede pull into a Mobil station. I called Merceded and they gave me Roadsides phone #. I called at 5:15 pm on Friday night. I was still waiting for Mercedes Roadside at 10:30PM at this station. I called 14 times (noted on my cell phone) and was told each time "they are 20 minutes away)and my financee called 8 times. My financee was so worried about me at this station for so long, he kept telling me he would arrange for car service to take me home and arrange for another tow company to pick up my car. I didn't want to slight Mercedes, so I declined-until I got scared at this station at 10:30PM. The next morning the car was towed to Manhattan Mercedes(41st St) and we got no return calls until 5PM - we only knew from our tow company that the car was delivered to them. After 2 days of no return calls from Brian (only getting his Voice Mail) I reached out to the so called manager (Jason). He assured me he would oversee my repair and he would be my contact. He also offered to pick up the cost of my tow since Mercedes never showed - just kept telling me "20 minutes away"! To make an ugly, long story short, he never picked up the tow cost, actually denied offering, and the service done - they said was not covered even though I have an extended new car warranty since I originally leased my car new, and then bought it. Audi here I come!!! Mercedes Manhattan has no customer service - they do have customer arrogance. More
I had my S 430 in for an suspension problem, and these clowns couldn't get the problen fixted the first three times I was there. I asked for a ride to my office on 22nd and Park Ave and they said the clowns couldn't get the problen fixted the first three times I was there. I asked for a ride to my office on 22nd and Park Ave and they said they couldn't do it within 2 hours because of all the people. I was forced to pay 20 dollars to get a cab down to my office and 20 dollars back because they wouldn't come get me when the car was ready. If I knew service was going to be so bad, I would have bought a Lexus...which I am planning on doing next month. Shame on Mercedes for letting their flagship dealership be so terribly run with customer service and shoddy workmanship. And they wonder why people are fleeing the Mercedes badge? It's quite obvious. I brought my S430 in for a suspension problem and I have to say this is probably the worst dealer I have ever dealt with. The attitudes there are terrible, and it took MB Manhattan FOUR...yes, FOUR attempt to say this is probably the worst dealer I have ever dealt with. The attitudes there are terrible, and it took MB Manhattan FOUR...yes, FOUR attempts to fix the problem correctly. I asked for a ride to my office down on 22nd and Park Ave, and they got all huffy and told me it was going to be over an hour wait. Needless to say, this is my last Mercedes due to the terrible reliability and even worse customer service. I will be going to Lexus for my next purchase which will be happening in a few months. More
I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with these guys for three years, and there is only one word to describe this dealership...TERRIBLE. My S 500 has been in the shop approximately 30 times for guys for three years, and there is only one word to describe this dealership...TERRIBLE. My S 500 has been in the shop approximately 30 times for countless problems, and every single time I get the car back from MB, Manhattan the job is either not completed, or completed wrongly. The front suspension has collapsed four times, and all four times the dealership has not fixed it correctly. Other problems included: *Severly out of allignment when delivered after a suspension repair *Grease smears all over my head liner after delivery. *Car is rarely washed when delivered. *A 3 week wait to schedule a service appointment? * HUNDREDS of dollars overpriced compared to other dealers. *RUDE staff...Mr. King, the service manager, is probably one of the biggest a**holes I have ever met. *The shuttle is always conviently running "a few hours behind" when you need it, which means you need to take a cab. I now drive out to Jersey to get my car fixed...sad. MBUSA should fire everyone there and start all over. More
