Top Dollar, Bottom Shelf. Worst Purchase Experience of my ENTIRE LIFE! Went in to buy my first Mercedes. Did not know anything about the brand except some mild research. Worst Purchase Experience of my ENTIRE LIFE! Went in to buy my first Mercedes. Did not know anything about the brand except some mild research. ***WARNING*** Cars look beautiful under the lights at Manhattan Mercedes. My piano black C63 AMG looked flawless in the dealership. Several days later, in direct sunlight, i saw swirls from compounding. When they tried to fix it, they swirled the entire car now on two occasions, leaving me with almost no clear coat. I spent $1500 to have the paint corrected and coated by a true professional. If you check BBB you will see this paint issue is a regular occurrence here at Mercedes Manhattan, although they are efficient at having these complaints removed. They have a shell company that jams a bunch of immigrants in the basement with high speed buffing machines who go right on in and destroy your paint. Its appalling, as my detailer and I saw first hand, they buff cars in the basement with improper lighting and dirty/used pads....BAD BAD BAD. I specifically asked, and was told that the car had a major performance component (limited slip differential), only to learn that the car did not have it after purchasing it. That mistake cost me $4,000. How an AMG comes without an LSD is anybodys guess...its flat out dangerous. Im also really disappointed in the build quality of this car. Ive also driven many loaner cars. They all rattle with bass and some whistle and/or whine at speed....not what i expected. My car has a symphony of undesired harmonics. So after much effort, i gave up with trying to have them do the right thing for me and went to my local Mercedes Dealership. That was a totally different experience. However, I just learned that the cars engine has an aftermarket tune installed in the car Even though i bought it at the dealership with a full CPO warranty. Seriously... Please do not patronize this establishment. I paid top dollar for bottom shelf antics. Great Business model...this is the type of review that comes from a profit first environment. I expected FAR better treatment from Manhattan Mercedes. Worst Purchase Experience of my ENTIRE LIFE!!! More

John Hart is Simply the Best! his is my 5th Mercedes Benz car and my second car from Mercedes Benz Manhattan. I worked with John Hart, who in my mind, is an exemplary sales profes his is my 5th Mercedes Benz car and my second car from Mercedes Benz Manhattan. I worked with John Hart, who in my mind, is an exemplary sales professional. John worked with me through all the different models I was interested in until we came up with the right car at the right price. Ultimately, we had one built. Last weekend I went to the dealership to pick up the car. Again, John did everything he could to make my experience as pleasant as possible. I drove home feeling happy knowing I had made the right choice. John Hart made the entire process as easy and seamless as possible. We also had a little fun along the way. John will be my go to salesman in the future. I hope he never leaves. If you're looking for a new Mercedes and want to work with a really nice and honest salesman, please give John a try. You won't be disappointed. More
Horrible experience with James Berger My father took the car in for a checkup. We were given a quote to decide on what repairs we would like to receive. The very next day my father went back and picked the car. Few days later James started calling threatening to charge us with parking fee. We told him we took the car the next day it's no longer at the dealership. So there was no reason to charge us. He insisted that is not possible, because we can not check the car out unless we paid the checkup fee. We have no idea how they runs things there but we said car was returned to us when it was picked up. Send us the bill and we will pay for it. The bill was paid Immediately when I received it. Few days later James calls again threaten to file a police report against my father for stealing OUR car. When I call, he still harrased us on how we got the car and refused any fault in the situation. Few days later we took the car to a different location and got the repairs done. If you want to avoid a headache do not let James work on your car. More
