It is only because of John Hart that I would recommend or return to this dealership. He was professional, honest and generous with his time. He listened to our complicated story, and advised us to wait on a return to this dealership. He was professional, honest and generous with his time. He listened to our complicated story, and advised us to wait on a new finance until after our mortgage on a home closed, as not to jeopardize the home loan. When the dealer tells you it's not the right time for you to buy a car, you know you can trust them! Also, he answers the phone/calls you back even in this crazy, post-COVID world! More
Forced me to purchase without test driving. Now I am unhappy yet the entire sales department refuses to even return my call. This is the most disgusting sales team. Now I am unhappy yet the entire sales department refuses to even return my call. This is the most disgusting sales team. More
This review is about the service technicians in the background that you don’t see. My first contact was with Ariel Magallon at Mercedes Benz Manhattan. She was very pleasant and kept me informed about background that you don’t see. My first contact was with Ariel Magallon at Mercedes Benz Manhattan. She was very pleasant and kept me informed about my vehicle. This is a beautiful Dealership with a fantastic coffee station but it will cost you a good penny to service your vehicle there. After they replaced the Takata recalled airbags in my car, they detailed it and returned it to me in tip top shape. I was so impressed that I decided to have my car serviced there for the first time, bad mistake. Had an 8:30 appointment and spent the whole day there. I had to turn down recommended service that I knew that I did not need, like replacing my wiper blades. Why do I need to replace Mercedes Benz wiper blades that I had replaced 1 year ago? I think what they do is when they see a woman, they upsell their service recommendations to them. I have been schooled by some very good men in my life to know better when visiting dealerships for service.. After spending the whole day and paying the enormous invoice from Mercedes Benz Manhattan, i was ready to get out of there. Now we all know that, Mercedes Benz dealerships are known for detailing your car after having it serviced. Why when I received my vehicle, all 4 windows were rolled down? I thought that was odd and didn’t noticed the vehicle was not detailed until I drove outside the dealership. Back to Helms Bros. Service for my future appointments. They have top notch customer service, where your time is very important to them. They actually show you a video of the technician working on your vehicle while you wait. Sorry Mercedes Benz Manhattan, I tried to give you a chance. You have to do a better job respecting customer’s time with less fluff! TF New York, NY More
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED I scheduled a service for my vehicle with the service department, i prefaced the appointment with the fact that I use my car every day for work and tha scheduled a service for my vehicle with the service department, i prefaced the appointment with the fact that I use my car every day for work and that after they diagnose it that I would have to take it back while they ordered my parts. They assured me that it would be looked at for sure and agreed to the appointment time. Once in the dealership the service advisor said, "We are backlogged, I am sure they told you it would be looked at, but we have a lot of issues with what the scheduling department communicates to us and the client." So, I said, well I have to use my car for work. I explained that I moved my entire schedule around to accommodate only in NYC clients and pushed all out of town appointments to the following week based on the appointment time THEY GAVE TO ME. He said, "We might not look at it today *wednesday, but definitely at some point Thursday" I agreed (again further impressing upon him the urgency) I also told him I understand that they could never repair it by Friday, but they can at least have the parts ordered and when they arrived, I would come back. He again, agreed and assured me he would "over communicate" with me. Well, that was the understatement of the century. I had to call back on FRIDAY at 3PM only to find out they never touched it. I understand if you are busy, but remember YOUR CUSTOMERS ALSO ARE BUSY, so don't make appointments for time slots that you cannot honor. I was EXTREMELY upset. The advisor said he was so sorry, agreed with me in regard to how unprofessional and unfair this was to me and my time and promised to call me that same evening with a solid appointment that he could honor. That was 4 weeks ago. I also reached out in writing to the General Manager of the dealership to let him know how a 10+ year customer was being treated and he never bothered to even reply. I called in again last week (please remember if there was ANY OTHER Mercedes dealer on the island of Manhattan I would have gone there but there is not so I am STUCK) I spoke with a nice gentleman who I actually thought might come through for me. He promised that one of the THREE SERVICE MANAGERS that were working that day would call me. THAT WAS ONE WEEK AGO!!! They DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE, LOYALTY OR BASIC PROFESSIONALISM. To recap I was COMPLETELY mistreated, ignored and never got any service from: Service Advisor - MARTELLI ALTY Service Manager 1, 2 and 3 General Manager of the dealership (TOM SHANLEY) WORTH THE TRIP TO THE OUTER BOROUGHS JUST TO NOT BE TREATED LIKE GARBAGE BY THESE PEOPLE.. NEVER AGAIN More
I was introduced by sales manager to Robert. We did everything long distance and I purchased two cars. He responded to me every time I called. I had his cell number and his office number . The dealer ship is very nice, clean and spacious. The service department does a great job cleaning the cars after they are serviced. The service department does a great job cleaning the cars after they are serviced. More
Surprised that the only MBUSA dealer can't address my COMAND head unit issues, even with a TSB I provided and they agreed there's an update. They couldn't diagnose my cold start clanking either. Very muc COMAND head unit issues, even with a TSB I provided and they agreed there's an update. They couldn't diagnose my cold start clanking either. Very much disappointed in MBUSA's own dealership. Nobody greets you to pick up your car from service, you gotta beg them to take care of you, otherwise you're left standing there like an idiot. More
