Taking Care of Customers After the Sale I went into the Jiffy Lube near my work for a regular oil change when they informed me that a part on my had been recalled and needed to be replaced. I went into the Jiffy Lube near my work for a regular oil change when they informed me that a part on my had been recalled and needed to be replaced. I was shocked and doubtful and left without the repair. I called Justin who'd sold me my car earlier and even though it was his off day took my call and double checked to make sure I was indeed in a safe car. The Jiffy Lube had been infact trying to scam me into unnecessary repairs and I'm so thankful to have a reliable person like Justin to to help me be better protected from places like that. He even followed up a few months later just to make sure everything had been resolved and that me and the car were well. I love that I'm still being taken care of a year after the sale of my car, this is the best service one could hope for. More
If you need to replace wiper blades on your F150 I was outfitted with blades the tech called "Premium Flats". Flat they may have been, but Premium, noooooo! The installation was made difficult by "adaptors" that had to be installed to make them fit. Problems with "hopping" showed up very soon. But recent rainfall made good wiper blades a necessity. Hopping was accompanied by wobbling. Fortunately, I was near another dealership that had the necessary "OE" part. Spend another $10.00 and get OE blades. I am satisfied that M. H. Ford refunded the purchase price. More

Deceptive sales tactics and go-to financing They told me that in order to test drive a vehicle that wasn't ready I would have to sign some papers. They told me signing these papers would allow t They told me that in order to test drive a vehicle that wasn't ready I would have to sign some papers. They told me signing these papers would allow them to legally hold my car for evaluation and would allow the service team to push the vehicle to the front of the line. I confirmed with the sales man that nothing was finalized. When we went back in for the test drive we were told the sale was final. When we discussed this issue further with the manager he told us there was nothing he could do to give me back my origa l vehicle but that they could put me in a different vehicle. They sibmitted 5 different applications without our consent and have managed to screw up our credit. All the banks they submitted it to denied the loan as it did not meet their requirements. Not until I sent a demand letter asking for my vehicle back and the attorney general sent a letter did the give me my car back. When we picked up my vehicle the coolant had been drained completely empty and a police report was filed. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. They will screw you over just for a sale. More

Focus more on volume of customers rather than quality of service. I sold my vehicle just to never have my vehicle serviced ever at MHFord ever again. Also will probably never by a Ford in the future since this is one of two large ford dealerships in the area and sadly the best option. Service (even for simple oil changes) awful: wait times hours (every time over 4 hrs even with a scheduled time), didn’t always do what was requested, lost personal items, etc. Dealt with them over 10 times and same service every time. Nice people but horrible actual “service” even after I was called by service manager ....no changes. If you wish for dreadfully long wait times, doing non requested service but nice employees that give out popcorn and cookies to hopefully gloss over this problem then be my guest. Again I sold my vehicle to never have to deal with MHfords service department. That says something. (I have owned multiple car brands in multiple states and never experienced anything quite this bad) More

I took my car in for repairs I was aware of. An two weeks later had I break down. After being told by the service man that it would be fine til my next visit for oil change. They told me it was something else this time. It was repaired. Now 2wks later it needs repairs again. They charged so much the first 2 x that I have no money to take it back. I have never been so unhappy with a dealers service before. I am a very good car owner and take extremely good care of them. I have never been treated or had so many repairs on this young of car. Doing What is Right I recently bought a car from Mel Hambelton. After having the vehicle for about 3 weeks, the brakes started giving me trouble (squeaking very loudly at I recently bought a car from Mel Hambelton. After having the vehicle for about 3 weeks, the brakes started giving me trouble (squeaking very loudly at every stop). After numerous service appointments at my local Ford dealership and a few at Mel Hambelton, it was ultimately decided I needed new rotors. I was very angry to hear this news due to having just bought the car 4 months ago and already putting $300 into the brake problem. Stan Bogdan and David Grey took it among themselves to make sure I had the best service possible and did everything they could to make this situation right. Not only did I receive new rotors with no charge, but I also had my car picked up and delivered back to me without having to move a muscle. I am very appreciative of Stan and David and applaud them for their customer service. Many times people forget to empathize and only think about business matters, but not these two. They are true assets and Mel Hambelton is very lucky to have them as a part of their team. More

Awesome Service On Sunday, June 10th, my in-laws, who are in their mid-seventies, drove from their home in south Louisiana to Wichita for a visit. While south of Tul On Sunday, June 10th, my in-laws, who are in their mid-seventies, drove from their home in south Louisiana to Wichita for a visit. While south of Tulsa, they decided to stop and fill up. When they started the car again, there was a loud noise, smoke started coming out of the hood and there was a funny smell in the car. My father-in-law shut the car off and opened the hood to inspect what had happened. After poking around a bit he realized that part of the air conditioner had broken apart. This was strange because it was part of an overall fix from an accident he was in and that part was rebuilt by the body shop. He taped it together, however now they were without air conditioning in the 90-plus degree heat, still with several hours to go. They would have stopped, but had an ice chest full of food for us. When they arrived at our house, it was 7:30 PM; they were exhausted, drenched in sweat and in a very unpleasant mood. I would have been also if I had driven that long with the windows down to try and get some sort of relief. My father-in-law asked me where to take the car, a Ford Edge. I recommended my local shop until he said he would prefer to take it to a Ford dealer and asked how many we had in Wichita. Since I have a friend who recently had a series of bad experiences at the “other” dealer in Wichita on the east side and remembering someone saying something positive about Mel Hambelton, I told him to try you. That made me a little nervous because I had no personal experience and just stuck my neck out with him. The next morning he and my mother-in-law paid you a visit. I was honestly nervous all day at work knowing that I would hear about it first thing when I got home. Sure enough when I walked in the door, my father-in-law was waiting to tell me about his experience. He could not stop gushing about how well everything went. It seems that when he drove in and told the service advisor his story, she told him that they would be happy to get him taken care of that day. He said the shop was very busy but the advisor did not use that as an excuse and got his vehicle pulled back quickly. He then told me about how nice the waiting area is, how good his chorizo burrito was at the customer lunch counter and how friendly everyone was. He also complimented your service staff on taking pictures and videos for him regarding the damages so he could take that to his insurance company. The mechanic also did not just fix the original problem but took the time to make sure other things were good. By doing this, he pointed out several other issues from the previous fix that needed attention. He said everyone really seemed to go above and beyond for him. The last thing he said was how reasonable the bill was. Please accept my sincere thanks for making what was a terrible experience much better. I wish I had everyone’s name so that I could call him or her out personally. I ask that you look into who had contact with him and make sure they know how much they did to make him feel like a valued customer. I will definitely recommend your service department going forward and have shared this story to my friend who used “the other guy”. Your dealership truly shows what good values are all about and what it means to be Wichita proud. More
