Elizabeth Gosa We had been looking at vehicles for close to a year when we met Elizabeth Gosa at Mel Hambelton Ford a few weeks ago. Not knowing we had arrived at cl We had been looking at vehicles for close to a year when we met Elizabeth Gosa at Mel Hambelton Ford a few weeks ago. Not knowing we had arrived at closing time due to the recent outbreak. We were there to inquire about a used Ford Edge we had seen on their website. A young lady comes over to us with a huge smile and welcomes us while slinging her back pack on and asked how she could help us. We told her about the Edge and said we didn't know it was quitting time and we would just come back another day, we didn't want to keep her late. But she responds with "It is but I'm here for you! Let’s see if we can find this car!" and takes her back pack off. When we found it, it wasn't at all pleasing to look upon as it was a fresh trade in! Elizabeth could tell we weren't impressed too. We spoke for a few minutes about this and that and as the sun continued to set and the temp dropped. Finally we exchanged info and she said she would look around for a car in our price range for us. The next morning we get a call from Elizabeth to tell us she had something to show us and was excited for us to come see it. When we get there it was that same dirty Ford Edge but someone polished her up! She was beautiful again and had tons bells and whistles! She was a 2011 Ford Edge limited. And she was MINE! Elizabeth is friendly, easy going, relatable, and ACTUALLY a real life 100% non-pushy car saleswoman! She never once tried to up sale us or try to push us into brand new. She made buying a car fun again and did everything she could to keep it as stress free as possible. She also stayed in touch and answered any question we had. I’m sure Mel Hambelton has a lot of good dealers and reps, but for us, she is our favorite and if when do decide to buy new, we will go to her! Misrepresented the conditon of the tires (worn to the cords) I purchased a used 2009 ZR1 for $56,000 from Mel Hambelton and live in St. Louis. Given the distance I would need to travel (14hrs round trip), I wan I purchased a used 2009 ZR1 for $56,000 from Mel Hambelton and live in St. Louis. Given the distance I would need to travel (14hrs round trip), I wanted to make the sure to understood the vehicles condition so that I would be able to make the trip safely home from Wichita. I asked the salesperson specific questions on the condition of the car in texts to be sure I had written responses to my questions, and made sure he knew I would be driving it on a 7hr trip home. When I inquired about the tires he wrote they were in "great condition, better than 50%, and still have the "nubbies on the sidewalls". I arrived the next day looked the vehicle over and made the purchase. It is difficult to inspect the tires on this vehicle due to the low nature of the body and ground effects bodywork, so I chose to trust the salespersons written response on the condition of the tires, and I drove home. The next morning when I was able to jack the vehicle up, I found both front tires were worn to the cords of the tires! I later discovered one of the tires had been patched on the inside in the area where the cords were showing so it would still be able to hold air pressure! When I contacted the salesperson, I was told the only accommodation they would be willing to make was to sell me a new set of tires at their cost. I checked locally and could have the same new tires mounted, balanced and insured for $200 less than their "at cost" tires, so the offer from Mel Hambelton would actually cost me even more money. This was despite the fact they acknowledged the salesperson had misrepresented the condition of the tires to me. After more than a year of trying to get them to accommodate for the mistake of their salesperson (by asking that they provide me $750 which would equate to "50% or better" condition of the tires I was led to believe existed on the car) they will not communicate back with me or the Better Business Bureau contact who was handling the claim I submitted. The lack of willingness to provide a fair settlement, and the fact they put my life at risk by misrepresenting the condition of the tires before my 7hr drive home is breathtaking to me. In their initial response to the BBB claim they suggested they "didn't know how the vehicle had been driven after it left their dealership" as their reason for not considering my settlement suggestion. I left their dealership at 3PM, drove home, and contacted them the following morning about the issue with the tires. Apparently in the few hours between when I picked the vehicle up, and the time I sent them pictures of the tires with the cords showing, the tires lost 50% of their tread!? Buyer beware! More

Elizabeth helped me find a vehicle for myself I went over to Mel Hambelton Ford to just look at a few vehicles and Elizabeth was my Sales person that come to assist me. I didn't think that they wo I went over to Mel Hambelton Ford to just look at a few vehicles and Elizabeth was my Sales person that come to assist me. I didn't think that they would have anything I liked until Elizabeth and I went on a walk and looked at a few that she picked out for me, We ended up looking at a 2013 Chevy Equinox that I really liked. Elizabeth took me through the process of buying a car and I honestly thought it would have taken longer than it did. She may have just started working there but I will recommend her to anyone and of course Mel Hambelton Ford to who ever asks me.I never thought of purchasing a vehicle through a big dealership and now that I have I don't regret it, If you ever go to Mel Hambelton Ford the second you walk through that door you are treated like family and they are all there to assist you with anything you need, Never seen anything like that and i'm one of those that go to different dealerships just to look at cars but now that I have found a car, I don't have to do that anymore and if I want another car the first place I will go to is Mel Hambelton Ford. I would like to say thank you to Mel Hambelton Ford for having the a vehicle that i liked that I could buy from them and also thank you for hiring an amazing sales person, I've never met anyone like her, she is such a sweetheart and she treated me like no other...
