We bought a gently used Ford Edge in April. There was a scratch on some body moulding. Our sales person, Zach Oakes, ordered a part to replace it. We took the vehicle in to have the part replaced. The vehicle looks as good as new. Jim, in the service department, and everyone in the dealership were so friendly and accommodating. It was a very good experience. We were shopping for a used vehicle when we went to Mel Hambelton Ford. Ben Benage greeted us in the parking lot with a friendly smile and was extremely helpful, without being pushy or overbearing. The lot was well laid out with plenty of selection and the show room area was very nice. When we didn't find what we were looking for in a used vehicle Ben suggested we look at new Escapes. We really weren't looking to buy new, but we looked, listened to Ben, drove an Escape and then bought it. At one point Ben asked what he needed to do to earn our business. . .by that point he had already earned our business, the only question was did we want to buy a new vehicle. We added running boards to the Escape and when we took it in to have them installed Chris Larkin in Service took care of us. Another wonderful experience!!! Ben and Chris are both five star people and we will most certainly recommend them AND Mel Hambelton Ford!! More
Shawn in the Service department provide top notch customer service. Back in June my husband brought in my Edge due to a oil leak problem and Shawn informed him what the problem was along with getting customer service. Back in June my husband brought in my Edge due to a oil leak problem and Shawn informed him what the problem was along with getting us taken care of with a rental car while it was in the shop. My Edge is back in the shop today for a issue and once again Shawn took care of explaining what they think is the issue and that they would put me in a rental and contact me once it the issue is discovered. He provided me his business card and verified a good contact number for me. In the last 8 years I have never had a bad experience in the sales department and will continue to drive across town to have my car taken care of. As my husband and I approached the front entrance Kareem and Jamal met us when we stopped to look at the new Ford Fusion SE 2012 in front. He had a firm handshake and listened intently to our family needs and asked,"if we wanted to test drive one and see if its what we really wanted." We agreed and he took a little information and put a tag on the vehicle. It was a really nice ride and exactly what i liked, then we looked at a different color. He asked when we might like to buy but was not HIGH pressure as I got at a different dealership. We told him we were looking to buy in October but could possibly look at buying now. So we walked around and he showed us around the dealership and they we were having an event so we had a hot dog and drink and visited with different people there it was a very pleasant experience. Kareem and Jamal explained that Jamal was training and asked if he could sit through the experience with us. We agreed and both of the men were helpful in every way. They answered every question we had they introduced us to the service manager so we would know where to go when we needed service and he gave us his card and cell phone number so if we had future questions we could call him. Since we did buy that day Kareem has called to check to make sure we still like our car and let us know we would be getting something in the mail. The Chocolate chip cookies are amazing. Tommie was very helpful in explaining the pricing detail of our selected vehicle and while the dealer did not have our Escape color choice in inventory, they did locate one and took action to bring it to Wichita.
