I completely lost my trust in this dealership and that's after buying our last two vehicles from Mel Hambelton and having them serviced there for 10 years. I found out yesterday that a customer's life and after buying our last two vehicles from Mel Hambelton and having them serviced there for 10 years. I found out yesterday that a customer's life and the life of his family, isn't worth 2/32" when it comes to honoring a "tires for life" contract, especially with winter weather conditions approaching. Lucky for me and my family, Don Hatton Ford of Augusta is much closer and more honorable. I'm not blaming the service advisor; he was just scared to do the right thing and consult the service manager about the situation. Customer service really means nothing after all!! As it turns out, the "tires for life" program that was in effect when I bought my truck was just another phony sales pitch, the dealership used to make a sale. I purchased new tires for my F-150 on my way home after I left Quick Lane, as it was never about the cost savings as much as it is about the principle. I hated to give this dealership one star for a rating, but there was nothing lower to choose from. I won't ever go back to Mel Hambelton and will advise anyone that asks, to do the same. More

On 10/30/2024, I drove all the way from Kansas City to Mel Hambelton Ford in Wichita, KS, to trade in my 2016 Ford Explorer and buy a brand new 2025 Ford Explorer Active. Unfortunately, what should have b Mel Hambelton Ford in Wichita, KS, to trade in my 2016 Ford Explorer and buy a brand new 2025 Ford Explorer Active. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting purchase quickly turned into a huge hassle. Less than 24 hours after purchasing and driving my new vehicle home, with under 300 miles on it, I received a warning about a power steering issue that required immediate service. I reached out to Nick at Mel Hambelton, who advised me to take it to a Ford service center in Kansas City. The service center determined that the power steering wiring harness was faulty and needed to be replaced. To make matters worse, they didn’t have the part in stock and had no clear timeline for when it would arrive. Frustrated by the situation, I contacted Mel Hambelton to share my experience and ask if they could offer any compensation or extended warranty, given that my brand-new car was already in the shop. The response? “We don’t build the car; we just sell it.” This made it very clear that they don’t stand by the quality of the vehicles they sell. I was told there was nothing more they could do because the repair was covered under the standard warranty. When I contacted Ford corporate, I was told to take it up with the dealership. So, I was left in an endless loop between Ford and Mel Hambelton. Mel Hambelton did mention an extended warranty as a potential option—but only if I purchased it. Despite their promise to follow up with pricing, their Business Manager Jon has yet to get back to me. This entire experience has been nothing but disappointing. Buying a new car should be exciting, not a nightmare. Mel Hambelton Ford clearly doesn’t prioritize customer satisfaction or stand behind the vehicles they sell. I deeply regret choosing them and will never do business here again. Do better, Mel Hambelton. Stand by the products you sell and treat your customers right. More
Detailing - poor review due to having them detail my car and they took off part of the clear coat in one section of the hood!
