I looked at other dealerships and lots in Wichita, but wasn't satisfied until I saw the price on a 2011 Mustang GT that was on MHford.com's website. It had the options and price that I was looking for, so I went to MH Ford after work. Shortly after arriving, a gentleman came and asked if I needed assistance. We made small talk about my discovery on the dealership's website, and then we found the Mustang on the lot. The car was well represented and clean. He asked if I wanted to take it for a drive, so we did. Mr. Oliver talked about the features and other small talk. No pressure at all. I told him that I was interested in pricing my trade-in, but was worried about being upside-down on it and keeping my payments in the ballpark. During negotiation, I felt that Mr. Oliver worked for me as my agent through his supervisor to get me the deal that I wanted. There wasn't a lot of haggling or nit-picking, it was calm and easy. There were never any ultimatums or pressure to submit. Mr. Oliver is a no nonsense salesman; I got what I wanted for trade-in and got a very satisfying price on my new pride and joy! I had a few mechanical and cosmetic concerns when I inspected the car in more detail after taking the car home. I made a short list and talked to Mr. Oliver about them. He put my mind at ease as he sprang into action. He set up a short conference with the Service Management and they devised a plan to make me satisfied. They scheduled a date for me to bring the car back for service. Once that day came, Mr. Oliver set me up with a new Mustang to borrow while work was being performed. The next day, I recieved a phone call from the Service Rep telling me that my car was finished. He described the work that was performed and handed me the keys. I was very surprised that there were no fees to pay or papers to sign! It was too easy! I have never been treated so professionally and hassle-free! I was so impressed that I had to go back and thank Mr. Oliver again. This experience has really eased my mind about Customer Service in the Wichita area. I am forever a customer of Mel Hambilton Ford! I am now enjoying my "new" ride instead of dreaming about it! More
We came to MH on the recommendation of a friend. It seemed they bent over backwards to help us in sales and finance, but I was disgusted with the service dept. They needed to fix the 4WD as part of our agreement to purchase the vehicle, and after keeping the truck for the first 5 days after we purchased it, we got half way home only to realize it was NOT fixed and then it had to go back for another week. They would not offer anything else for us to drive while they were fixing our truck, so we didn't have our "new" vehicle until almost 2 wks after we purchased it. Then, about 10mos later, we found metal shavings in the rear end, which was a result of something else they were supposed to have fixed as part of the purchase agreement, but they refused to claim responsibility of poor repairs and WE had to pay $2000 to fix it. As we traded this truck for something else this last weekend at a better dealership, we were told after seeing the car fax that the truck we purchased at MH had been wrecked, towed, fixed, then sold to us. MH NEVER DISCLOSED THIS TO US. So my initial perception of sales at MH was wrong! I don't trust them, and feel they are just out to make a buck and don't care about repeat business b/c they have certainly lost ours! More
I found Alan to be an excellent salesperson that was genuinely trying to help me find what I was looking for. We were first greeted by Stan Bogdan who was very knowledgeable, personable and dedicated to meeting our needs. He knew how to ask the right questions to find a vehicle within our budget. He was not pushy and genuinely wanted the right fit for us. We were not familiar with leasing and Stan explained in detail the advantages. We had a vehicle to trade in and he worked hard to get us the deal we expected. James Shock handled our financing quickly & efficiently and encouraged us to buy the premium service plan. Since we are loyal Mel Hambelton customers he found a great rate keeping our payments where we are comfortable. Trey Dickerson went through each option in our NEW Ford Fusion taking the time to connect our phones to Bluetooth, how to use the GPS, preset seat & mirror positions, etc. in a thorough manner. I realized Mark Nunnelley who I went to high school with also works there and he visited with us while we waited to have paperwork done. We would highly recommend this dealership and these employees to assist you with your next car/truck/SUV purchase. Walked in an Austin was very friendly, quick to show us what we were saying we were interested in. Once he explained the differences it was his suggestion he test drove them both as we had narrowed it down to two cars quickly as Austin was a good listener in what we were saying we wanted, there was no high pressure just smiles of excitement as we were excited our selves to be purchasing. Then when our decision was made he took us right inside and helped us get the best deal possible, the Financing department was great, Jamie was very professional and explained the options which we appreciated. Where do I start? We arrived for our appointment on time only to discover that the Sales Rep we were scheduled to see was off. Not a good start. However, he was actually in the dealership and made a point of greeting us, explaining, and handing us off to Travis Whisler. After a long morning of looking at other dealerships and feeling a bit discouraged, Travis found a car that was in my price range that I liked. Drove well, beautiful condition, had the features I wanted, and was comfortable. MJ said it made my eyes light up!! *lol* I have to admit that it was not a good time for me to buy a car, but I had no choice. My old car had blown an engine and I needed a car as soon as possible. Everyone I came into contact with did all they could to get me into a car. It took some long hours and a lot of work and they never once made me feel that I was wasting their time! By the time we finished, I was exhausted. I had to wait a bit for my car to be delivered, however Austin Ratzlaff was very apologetic, kind and helpful! 4 1/2 hours later I drove home in my 'new to me' Ford. I have to especially thank Mark McCasland for all he did to help me. He spent a great deal of time getting me the financing....and the fresh start....I needed!! I absolutely would recommend Mel Hambleton Ford to my friends and family! Yes Mark...I am excited! Thank you!!
