My wife had been looking for a new car for awhile and after visiting the other large ford dealer in Wichita and getting attacked by the sales people there we decided to give Mel Hambleton Ford a try before committing to a purchase. When we arrived at the lot we were able to browse the huge selection of cars we were looking for without a salesman breathing down our neck. When we found one we wanted to look at we went in and requested a salesman to work with. The process was painless, just the way we like it. My wife loved the Flex and decided this was the car for her. We completed the sale that night and took the car home. We did have a few minor issues with the vehicle over the next several weeks but being a certified car they were quickly resolved and the dealership did everything they could to make sure we were happy. Dan in the service department did a great job taking care of our issues and keeping us informed through the repair process. Any dealership can sell you a car. Mel Hambleton Ford not only sells cars but they stand behind their product and go above and beyond to do right by their customers. From the sales people to the management, everyone worked hard to make our experience a positive one. Thanks for our cool Flex and we look forward to our next purchase. More
Terrible experience Im 18 years old, looking to buy my first car. So, I come here and start looking at trucks. We had talked to Ray, the sales man earlier in the day and Im 18 years old, looking to buy my first car. So, I come here and start looking at trucks. We had talked to Ray, the sales man earlier in the day and when we arrived he was busy with another customer so Obi goes with us on a test drive on a 2014 focus... not the truck I wanted. They tell me that I can't get a cheaper used truck because of the "ford first time buyer program" the vehicle must be brand new. So ok, I'll go with that. Then we go to Obi's office. I try to negotiate a different price, again, he says that the only way for me to get approved with the "ford first time buyer program" is to pay MSRP. So, I agree then we go to the waiting area and wait about an hour and a half until we go to the finance office and see mark. We get everything in there finished up and leave after about 5 hours being at the dealer total. Then about 2 weeks later we get a bill in the mail that the payment is about double what I signed for. I try to get a hold of mark and can't get a call back. Then we go to the dealership and try to talk to mark. We are sent to an office and told that mark will be with us shortly. We wait about 20 minutes and ray the salesmen comes in and starts asking us questions. I just want to ask mark what the xxxx is going on with my financing. Finally we are told that mark left for the day. Then the next day he texts me and asks if I will come into the dealership. He tells me that the deal is done and that he can't change anything now that the 10 days is up. That he is sorry. Now I'm stuck with a $20,000 car that I'm paying $35,000 for. My paper work says I'm financing $23,000 on the car not $35,000. The people I worked with are liars and very unloyal to their customers. This is the worse customer service you could get for buying your first car. They will take advantage of anyone that comes into their sight. If you think you are getting a good deal you probably aren't. More

Stan Bogdan did a great job.. Again. My cousin has bought multiple vehicles from Stan and I recommended him to a co-worker who bought a new Mustang. They walk us through everything and took time to showing us everything from which truck we will like and actually took us on a test drive not like my last car buying experience where they only showed me the truck and started the paper work and our sales man here at mel hambelton took all the time to explain are different chooses we had. Are financial manager was truely truely a loyal person to his customs he explain everything from top to bottom until we understood and me and the wife much appreicated very much for are exerience we had down there. Ran illegal credit check without permission On 29 APR 14, I made an appointment to get a test drive with Mr. Ali of a 2011 Infiniti M37X. During the test drive I informed him I had my own bank a On 29 APR 14, I made an appointment to get a test drive with Mr. Ali of a 2011 Infiniti M37X. During the test drive I informed him I had my own bank and would not need a credit check. I also said I was not looking to buy on that day as I was waiting for a substantial refund prior to signing any contracts. He said he even knew my loan officer personally. Once back inside his office, he asked how I would be able to buy his car today but I yet again informed him I could not buy today. He asked if he could do a trade appraisal at least to which I agreed and again reiterated that I would not be buying today. Mr. Ali came back a few minutes later stating that he had run my credit report and said I had a *** credit rating. He also said he was able to pull up my current vehicle payoff amount. I told him that the trade in amount did not require my credit to be pulled nor did I ever give him my SSN nor Driver's Licence. He went and got a sales manager who wanted to discuss my trade in amount but when I said I was upset that my credit report was pulled without my knowledge or consent he said, "Oh well that won't hurt you too much." I told him that what he did was illegal to which he simply got up and left the room. Mr. Ali came back in and said he assumed that I wanted the credit report pulled to which I said I repeatedly told him that I had my own financing and never authorized such a thing. I said I want my keys and to leave immediately as they were holding them away from me in the manager's office (a very deceptive trapping technique to keep me there longer). After waiting to get my keys back, I went out to the parking lot to find my current 09 Hyundai Genesis was still on and left in drive with the radio blaring. If I had waited a few more minutes then my car could have ended up rolling off and hitting something since it was left unattended in D. The dealership also promised me a gas card which I never received for making the trip out there which was a lie and falls under false advertising. More
