we found a vehicle we were interested in online and drove nearly an hour to see it. We saw the vehicle, knew it needed repairs but for the price and what we would have put down, it was an O.K. Deal since neg nearly an hour to see it. We saw the vehicle, knew it needed repairs but for the price and what we would have put down, it was an O.K. Deal since negotiations weren't even an option... We were to put $2,500 down and later to decide if we were to trade in our car... Once I mentioned the trade in he freaked out and said basically screamed at me and said WOAH WHAT TRADE IN?!?! We NEVER talked about a trade in!! After his freak out he said we got approved for the loan over the phone but when i said ok how much are the payments he said he doesn't deal with the financing and didn't want to tell me how much the payments would be monthly, and said we needed to go in person and talk to the finance guy. The car didn't have seat belts and he said he would talk to the GM about that to see if we could make a deal... Is it even legal to sell a car without seatbelts!? I don't think so... One guy said we could call a tow truck and tow it from nh to Boston and ALSO to switch the license plates from the old truck to the new truck that wouldn't have even been registered the day we decided to drive it off the lot... Thats a federal crime and a traffic criminal violation that results in either a citation for a court date if the cop is nice OR you get your car towed and possibly get prison time!! After we blew them off to go away for the weekend they called us non stop to get us to come in... We KBBed the car and with the year of the car 2005 PLUS the 116,000 or so miles on it, was valued at $7,500 in EXCELLENT condition and the car was being sold for about $1,400 over that price... The car is NOT in excellent condition, it has no headliner, no door panels, needs new seats because they were all chewed up... We told them we weren't interested for various reasons and they never called again... Anyway, we have gotten 3 rejection letters for the loan in the mail, all for at least 2,000$ more than what we would have been after our down payment... One of the loans was for $4,000 MORE than ($10,500) (give or take) what we would have paid after the down (around $6,500)... Talk about a scam!!! Why would you even request a loan that's $4,000 MoRe than what you're customer is paying for? Also, the pictures online were different than what we saw in person, it said the car had power windows, and it did not, that picture of the truck had black rims, and when we saw it the tires and rims were completely replaced, it had a bed liner in the photos and when we went to see it and the bed liner wasn't there... The car is stored in the back garage and its not even on the lot (probably because its illegal to sell a car with no seat belts!) I'm speechless... No need to call them and complain because they already screwed us over and said the big F... The big F we return in favor is reporting them to the consumer projection and antitrust bureau of NH!! I am VERYYYYY glad I trusted my instincts!! More
