Med Center Mazda is a great dealership. Will, Todd and Matt were a pleasure to work with. Will, Todd and Matt were a pleasure to work with. More
The work was good and the prices were reasonable. I really didn't like the fact that they send texts and videos of the assessment to the vehicle and don't call the customer with what they found. For I really didn't like the fact that they send texts and videos of the assessment to the vehicle and don't call the customer with what they found. For so many people, we need explanation beyond just the video and saying what needs to be done. To be fair, they give a number to call back in the text but when I did this, I had to leave multiple voicemails in order to talk to someone regarding my car. This took a lot more time. I would probably still go to this location, but I think this is one part of the industry that should not be automated with texts. More

Would love to see whether video inspection covered transmission as well. Because at one of the dealerships in VA, they did that transmission as well. Because at one of the dealerships in VA, they did that More

We bought our 16 year old son a 2010 Mazda6 from a used car dealer. A week later the battery died. We replaced it at Advance Auto Parts with a new Die Hard battery. 3 hours later, that battery died. Accord car dealer. A week later the battery died. We replaced it at Advance Auto Parts with a new Die Hard battery. 3 hours later, that battery died. According to the Carfax report, this car had almost all its previous service done at a Mazda dealer in Georgia. Since our problem seemed more complicated than a local mechanic could diagnose, I scheduled a service appointment with Med Center Mazda. Despite the car's age, it had only 150k miles and an impeccable service history. Mazda made the car so I thought they would be the best to know what was going on. We took it for our appointment at 10AM September 27, but were told by the service department they "might" get to it that day, otherwise it would be early to mid next week, so we had to leave it there. A week later, we were finally told the car had a bad battery, and needed new brake pads and rotors. We shelled out nearly $2300 for this work and drove the car home. 6 hours later, the car was completely dead yet again. The following morning we brought the car right back to Med Center Mazda, where we were met with barely civil service personnel. "The car is just old," we were told, "our diagnostic equipment is for newer models." Why make a car designed to last well over 151k miles if the dealer isn't equipped to work on that car years later? Furthermore the mechanic who had worked on the car previously was off; when my husband asked if there was a different mechanic available he was told there was only one, and he was already covered up with other cars that needed work. We left the car there, preparing for another week-long wait for a *possible* diagnosis. Meanwhile we informed the dealer where we purchased the car what was going on. That dealer told us to get the car back from Med Center Mazda as they clearly were not interested in working with us, and bring it back to him. When we picked the car up that afternoon we were met with frosty reception by the mechanics who clearly wanted to see nothing but the back of us. We took the car back to the dealer we got it from and 2 days later, he found a busted relay that was steadily drawing 1.5 amps from the battery, enough to drain it within a few hours. Why couldn't Med Center Mazda find this problem after having it for a week? The bigger issue though is how we were treated. Just because we brought in an older model does not mean we should have been treated with contempt. We could have been future customers of a brand new Mazda vehicle - especially since Mazda is now one of the few car makers that doesn't use CVT's, we were seriously thinking of switching our Honda and Toyota out for new Mazdas. We would have been loyal future customers, but if you're going to treat us with scorn when we bring in our 2010 Mazda, you won't get a chance to treat us with scorn again, no matter what vehicle we're shopping for. The arrogance and snobbery with which we were treated by the service personnel at Med Center Mazda has completely turned us off ever shopping there for a new or used vehicle in the future, and we won't be shy about telling people we know about this absurd experience.
