Long story super short….I bought a used Jeep Wrangler from Brewster Ford the middle of March and it’s been in and out of the shop 5 times since then (totaling just under 3 months in their possession being serviced). Back and forth between Brewster Ford and Meadowlands (same owner). Final straw was when Brewster Ford “fixed” the problem, Meadowlands gave it a full look over afterwards and they both sent me on my way….to which I lost control of the Jeep and went off the road by the bend on 311 & 164. Brought it back to meadowlands and after this full look over, they found that brewster ford put in the wrong parts when they “fixed” it. Clearly a lie that they even looked at it last time it was there, but I’m trying to keep this story short. Communication only exists after multiple attempts each day to reach them, never a even a call back. Frustrated is a huge understatement. After the back and forth since my jeep went in on Halloween, we finally towed the jeep out of meadowlands today, December 6th. All the workers at both brewster ford and meadowlands that we dealt with since this last catastrophe stated that if it was up to them, they would buy the jeep back, and one stated that he wouldn’t want his pregnant wife driving it either. Ultimately, from what the employees told us, the decision to not buy back the Jeep was made by none other than the owner himself, Ken Volz. Unless you want to be treated like garbage, I suggest you don’t buy any vehicle from Brewster Ford, Meadowlands of Carmel or Volz Auto in Yorktown. I don’t ever want to say “I told you so” or worse, have anything happen to any one of you because of their negligence! More
CONSUMER BEWARE-I purchased 2 new cars from meadowlands that were awesome and recently in the past year bought a used car and paid for the warrenty. We were never told that the car came with an after marke that were awesome and recently in the past year bought a used car and paid for the warrenty. We were never told that the car came with an after market part that won’t be covered under warrenty. We had the car towed twice within a year for repairs to Meadowlands and was told it’s not covered under the warrenty since it’s an after market part yet we were sold the car that way. We inquired about this as it’s not fair.. We were told we can’t prove that it was not sold to us this way. Interesting since I purchased the full warrenty. Why would I put an after market part on if I paid in full for the warrenty? They said they can’t help us and now the car sits in my driveway for months. I went to another auto mechanic and they said legally they can’t fix it. I’ll never ever buy another car from Meadowlands they can’t be trusted! CONSUMER BEWARE More

Meadowlands of Carmel which is owned by Mr. Ken Volz absolutely destroyed my vehicle over 2 years ago and have still not made any of the proper repairs. It started off with a transmission flush on my 20 absolutely destroyed my vehicle over 2 years ago and have still not made any of the proper repairs. It started off with a transmission flush on my 2007 6.6 Duramax HD Diesel with an Allison transmission. They sent me home with no oil in my transmission. The truck was then towed back to the dealership filled up, and I picked the truck up. Little did I know, that they had overfilled transmission by at least 6 quarts. If you know anything about Allison transmissions, they are very sensitive, but if taking care of correctly they will last forever. This is why they are used in heavy equipment. I was told when I picked up the truck set the transmission would be under warranty for the rest of the life of the truck. Magically, that information disappeared out of there system. I'm a very small owned and operated excavation company. I run a company with my son I, myself, and my truck. I do own a diesel machinery so I do know how to take care of it very well. So some time goes by. I'm still well within my transmission fluid limits as to when it's supposed to be changed. In fact, the fluid wasn't even tinted, it was just overfilled by approximately 6 quarts. The transmission would not shift, go into gear or move the truck whatsoever. I called meadowland of Carmel and they came with a flatbed again. My truck was there for over a year. After being fed a bunch of excuses, listening to mechanics tell me the truth and I'm walking into service and getting lied to, I reached out to Chevy customer service. Which by the way, is an absolute joke. They could care less oh, you cannot move up a ladder and talk to anybody important. They changed their extensions daily so you can never get the same person on the phone to work on your case. Nevertheless, I'm still battling because after they told me I needed a torque converter which they installed, I received a call stating that my truck was up on the lift and they were shifting through the gears when they seized my motor. So the truck goes back outside and sits for another 6 months. And this time, my truck got destroyed. Dents up and down the side, the flat spots in my tires, two brand-new dead batteries, mice inside my truck. As if it couldn't get any worse, I drive by my truck every day on my way to work sitting in the same place while I was told they were going to put a brand new Duramax on order and install it. that was another two-month battle with customer care which somehow I got completed and the motor arrived. Well, what I didn't know was they never split the motor and transmission to determine what was really wrong with the truck. So after this extremely long and painful battle, they finally pushed my truck in and realized they didn't seize the motor, they melted my transmission together. Back to customer support I go. My truck was left outside with the hood open, all caps off every reservoir including the oil cap. Obviously it was left like this because they thought they seized my motor. So after I get another interesting phone call I get another new case number from Chevy customer care. I think I have about 10 of them now which mean absolutely nothing.I explained what happened demanded a new transmission and my truck to be immediately fixed. I also explained that my excavation season was coming up and I needed a loaner truck immediately that could pull what my truck can. They loaned me a Dodge two door pickup truck that couldn't get out of its own way if it wanted to. It couldn't even move my trailer let alone my machine with my trailer. My truck is a full four door which I explained I needed because I have five children with a small business. So I ended up losing an entire excavation season. We had a very mild winter here in New York, so honestly it never should have stopped and I still can't excavate until this point because I ended up getting a truck back with a junkyard Allison transmission with unknown mileage that doesn't go into reverse, manually shift, (since it is a trip tronic transmission or whatever Chevy calls it), does not shift properly and makes horrible noises. When I asked customer care why I went from getting a brand new Duramax motor to a junkyard Allison transmission they could not answer that question because the dealership is independently owned. I went to pick up this truck three times. The first time every single light was on the dashboard. The second time the transmission would not shift out of second gear. The third time I went back, I figured before any more damage is done to my truck I need to just take it and get it out of there. Till this day I'm still fighting with customer care Chevy and Mister Ken Volz, who by the way also owns Brewster Ford and Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Yorktown New York. after being thrown off in every direction trying to figure out who the owner was, his desk was literally across the hall from the service manager Kenneth Kepler's office that I have been dealing with this entire I requested a meeting with Mr Ken Volz face to face and I was told he would meet with me that Wednesday and I would be emailed the date and time because he had to speak with his service manager Kenneth Kepler first. I never received an email. I never received a phone call. I never received anything but an$80,000 truck that does not run!!! I have put in numerous phone calls for him to return. I have been told that he is out of the office until the virus is over. Who puts a truck up on a lift and spins the tires with no load on the vehicle??? Why wouldn't they take it for a road test? This man is a coward, does not deserve to own any dealership because he does not respect his customers. They absolutely destroyed my truck, my business, and family. If anyone can help me move this along please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Matthew Hawley. More
Unfortunately the transmission went out on my 2014 Town & Co untry. Fortunately we were still under warranty. Unfortunately I made the huge mistake of having it towed into Meadowlands of Carmel because it was th untry. Fortunately we were still under warranty. Unfortunately I made the huge mistake of having it towed into Meadowlands of Carmel because it was the closest dealership. Service departments like this one are the reason you avoid dealerships. Between Kelly offering no help at all with a loaner car to her constant talking down to me with things like, “Well is your husband going to call me back or are you?” And “Why haven’t you talked to your husband yet?” (Because he was working) and “Well you’ve had two hours how much time do you need?” (In regards to making what would have been an additional $500 purchase with out reaching my husband.); To the service department making the decision of putting old “corroded” wires back on my brand new transmission without my ok and saying come pick up your car... The novel that I could write boils down to NASTY SERVICE STAFF and DO NOT TRUST THEM. They are out for the money not for their customers. We will not purchase from here and warn others be wary before going through this dealership for anything!!! There should be a no star option. More
Lease return ISSUES. Called yesterday evening to schedule dropping off my end of lease vehicle. Was told I can bring it in before 5pm. I called again this morning and w Called yesterday evening to schedule dropping off my end of lease vehicle. Was told I can bring it in before 5pm. I called again this morning and was told again to just bring it in. I arrive at 930am. Was greeted by a person from the far left side desk. He took a pic of my mileage and of the VIN number. He then went next door to Meadowland Dodge Ram and came back with another person. This person stated to me "We are not taking your car, we dont have the room". I explained that I called the prior evening and again this morning that I was bringing the car in for return. He stated, "we are not taking it and you have to get it out of here!". I had him look at the vehicle through the window and explained that the registration and plates have already been removed and the insurance has been transferred to my new vehicle. I was on the way to motor vehicles. He then stated, "WELL I HOPE YOU HAVE GOOD PICS OF THE CAR, BECAUSE I CANT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT WHEN YOU LEAVE!". I explained that I did take good pics of the car just minutes before and AUTOVIN completed their inspection and had the pics as well. He then left the building and a short time later the original person came back and I signed and received my receipt for the drop off. I was told by two of my friends not to go to this dealership because of the lack of customer service (ie. footprints on car door panels and crumbs on the floor after vehicle service). I figured how bad could it be. Well, they were right. I wont be visiting this dealership anymore. More
