I was talking to them about this car. I tried to get them to actually honor the price they posted but they added accessories so there was an up charge. They said they would try to get it I tried to get them to actually honor the price they posted but they added accessories so there was an up charge. They said they would try to get it done for me at the actual advertised price and would call me back. Two days later, they called me back and said that they would have been more inclined to do the actual price, but since I live out of state they can’t service my vehicle and that I would have to pay for all the accessories. I’m assuming so they can still make their money back. One of accessories for example were wheel locks. I don’t live in an area where wheel locks are necessary. The sale manager said it’s “not personal” but I feel that it is kinda personal to get a potential customer excited and have them say “I will buy that car”. Just to call back 2 days later and say that they won’t sell it to me because i’m not local. They knew my location well before we started to discuss the car. Why even advertise on Autotrader. com if you only want local customers. Why use prices to lure people in and make them think they have found a great deal just to pull the rug out. Just not ethical business that I would practice. But times have changed that’s for sure. More
