Don't believe the ads Several months ago, I received an email, as a previous customer, inviting me to a special offering of new vehicles. As I was interested in a new pick Several months ago, I received an email, as a previous customer, inviting me to a special offering of new vehicles. As I was interested in a new pickup at the time, I reviewed the mulit-page listing. I happened to find a Ram 1500 that seemed perfect for my needs. Just before closing time on a Saturday afternoon, I stopped by the dealership, viewed the vehicle and talked with a salesman. He looked at my ad and expressed great desire to do the deal. I returned the following day with the intention of making the purchase. I saw the vehicle again and then sat down with the salesman. After the preliminaries, he took the paperwork to the sales manager and in a few minutes the truck advertised for $29,105 had gone to one for $36,800! Obviously, I didn't qualify for ALL of the incentives! I've purchased my last 4 new vehicles from MicKinney with satisfactory results, but there will not be another one. Later I talked with a McKinney employee and he admitted that NO ONE qualifies for all of the incentives as the minuscule fine print states in the ad. I went to another dealership and purchased a similar truck for a similar price to the one advertised. More
