Buying a car never seems like a fun idea. So when my mom asked me on a rainy Saturday to help her buy one, I was a little apprehensive. At our first stop we were treated with arrogance and attitude. If anyone was going to buy a Lexus, Rita Barkstom would be the sales person to contact at this dealership. I have personally purchased three cars from her in the last three years (2 for me and one for my d be the sales person to contact at this dealership. Her service was outstanding. I requested to buy a used RX, but wanted limited mileage (under 25K). Rita searched until she found one in New Jersey. It was perfect!!! She made sure that every detail in that vehicle was pristine before handing over the keys. Recently, my daughter's car was totaled and we wanted to place her in a safe vehicle. Rita to the rescue again. She managed to find the perfect used RX at a price point my daughter could afford. Again,the car was in stellar condition when we picked it up. Rita went over very detail down to making sure that the tollway pass was properly applied. Rita is more than an extremely professional car dealer to us. She has become like one of our family. I went in for an oil change and asked Paul Tuffner to check out the car as my daughter was taking it back to school the next day. Paul indicated that he would be happy too with no additional cost. They found the front brakes in need of replacement and the rears would follow shortly. Unfortunately, the rotors were shot. I wanted to know the value of the car which Paul helped with Kelly Blue Book. I had my reservation that my 2001 was not worth the price of repair. My RX300 held value and made it worth my money. But the other constraint was that I needed the car back in 4 hours (service was closing) and needed to be used to "get my daughter back to school." Talk about someone that was not looking to push you into repairs but was honestly trying to help. The effort was appreciated as the brakes on the 2001 were repaired with two mechanics teaming up. I appreciated the attention to customer service which resulted in me bring my RX350 in for a complete service the following day. Did I want to spend the money...no, but I needed to have complete confidence my cars were in good running order. Mr. Tuffner at McGrath was looking after my best interests and exceeded my expectations as a service consultant. More

I am a licensed engineer and very analytical by nature. Larry Pebelske was my salesman and he did a fantastic job of selling me an RX350. It took about 6 weeks for me to check out the luxury vehicles that I was initially interested in and that list included mercedes, bmw, audi, lexus, infiniti, cadillac, and acura. After several test drives I narrowed the list to the infiniti, lexus, and cadillac crossovers. At this point I had three vehicles that I felt were comparable. After another series of test drives I whittled the list to the lexus and cadillac and took one of each home to compare them side-by-side. Throughout the entire process Larry was always available, informative, and always helpful. He did this without being "pushy", "nosey", or pressing to make the sale - which is a mistake many salespeople make (or they overcompensate the other direction and appear uncaring and too aloof). I would recommend Larry to anyone if they were in the market for a new vehicle. Every experience we have had to-date at McGrath Lexus leads me to believe that the entire operation is run in this professional manner. There are many dealerships closer to our home, but for me it is well worth the extra travel time to deal with such a courteous, competent, and professional staff.
