After searching extensively for a used Lexus LX 470 on the Internet, I came to McGrath Lexus of Westmont because there were two here that I was potentially interested in. I called on my way to the dealership and spoke with Mel Owens and he arranged for me to test drive one of them. I drove it and wasn't crazy about the condition of that particular vehicle (I'm very particular), so I looked at the other one. It was pretty much exactly what I was looking for, so I told him I was interested and wanted to see how much I would get if I traded in my current vehicle. The sales manger told Mel the amount they'd give me for my trade, which was $3,000 less than another dealer had offered me, so I didn't like that and thought the deal was going to fall through and I was ready to walk away. However, when I told Mel about the offer I had from the other dealer, he said that they could work with the other dealer to take my vehicle in on trade, sell it to that dealer, and give me the full trade-in credit--they'd just have to contact that dealer and confirm that he wanted the vehicle and was going to pay what I had said he would for the vehicle. I had never heard of this before, so I was pleasantly surprised because it kept the deal alive. Mel said that if I had a better offer for my vehicle than what they could give me, they'd work with that dealer to facilitate the trade because they still wanted my business and wanted to sell me the vehicle I was looking at. It all worked out and I got the Lexus LX 470 I wanted, so I was very pleased with my experience. McGrath Lexus of Westmont is the nicest dealership I've ever been to--it's more like the lobby of a five-star hotel than a car dealership--and everyone is friendly and professional. Mel was great to work with and came through with every picky little demand I had. He even introduced me to Tracy Isselhardt, the general manager, who had okayed some of my picky demands like providing a hitch cover, a missing cargo net clip, and a missing cover for the lock/unlock lever on one of the third-row seats. Tracy was very accessible, which is unusual for a general manager. When I took delivery of the vehicle, my delivery specialist, Ben Kruchten, was excellent and took all the time I needed to go over every inch of the vehicle and I never felt rushed. He knew everything about the vehicle and showed me how everything worked. McGrath Lexus of Westmont is a first-class dealership with unprecedented customer service. So even though I live 1.5 hours away, I will be back here instead of going to my local Lexus dealership. I highly recommend it! More
I had a really nice experience at McGrath Lexus in Westmont. I had visited a few times previously and knew that I would come back here when I was ready to purchase. I saw the car I was looking for online and took a chance on visiting the dealer. I didn't think that I would ever buy a car on the spot. After a quick ride and a review of all of the extras I was receiving from my sales rep Scott Raymond, there was no doubt that this was the car for our family. We had some time to wait for all of the financing to be worked out and Scott and the dealer treated the family to lunch. What a nice gesture. I'm looking forward to a long relationship with Mcgrath. This is the 4th LEXUS I have purchased from McGrath; three of those sales have been with Alisa Dunlap. She's the greatest. The last Lexus which I just picked up had been an ongoing transction for abou three of those sales have been with Alisa Dunlap. She's the greatest. The last Lexus which I just picked up had been an ongoing transction for about four months due to some medical problems I was having. I canceled several appointments with Alisa and each time, she was most understanding and patient. I also changed my mind about colors; again she patiently worked with me. I can't say enough about Alisa and the MCgrath dealership other than they treat you like royalty. More

We chose to wait several days before making a final decision. On our return by appointment, Mr. Scala had an RX350 cooled down for our test drive. The deal he presented to us afterwards was completely to our satisfaction, and exactly what we had been anticipating. There was no haggling on either side. I stopped by McGrath Lexus to initially test drive a pre owned Lexus. Upon my entry into the building, I did not realize that the dealership was closing for the evening. Mel Owens was on his way out, but owned Lexus. Upon my entry into the building, I did not realize that the dealership was closing for the evening. Mel Owens was on his way out, but was kind enough to give me initial information about the dealership and invited me back the following day. My son came with me and after a lenghtly conversation, I test drove both new and pre owned. I wanted to ponder the different vehicles I test drove and told Mel that I would get back to him within a couple of weeks. He is extremely professional and polite. He listented to my needs and wants. I felt that buying transaction went very smoothly and would recommend Mel and the dealership. More
