The service technician that was working with me, his name was George. He would call and leave a voice mail, and if I called right back, he didn’t answer the phone and he didn’t check his voicemails either. The operators were also very rude in terms of connecting me to someone back in the service department. But my main issue was with George and how he treated me as a customer. He was polite, but talked to me as if it were a stupid woman who knew nothing about cars and was helpless when it came to knowing what was going on or what to do with my car. He also told me things that were untrue about the non-factory parts that were in my car. I was present when my friend installed the LED lights in my car. I am aware of what a plug and play part is, and I know how to disconnect a ballast. I’m also very aware that the parts used for the LED lights were NOT screwed into the frame of my car, as he said they were. Those parts were just left to dangle inside my car under the hood, rather than someone take the time to take them off. I was also just handed the keys and pointed in the direction of my car whenever I went to get it. When I had an issue with my suspension after the first time I went to pick it up, he made it seem like it was my fault there was something wrong, when I had literally just driven it off the lot and came right back. George just kept making excuses as to the issue being no fault of his or Subaru’s rather than apologize and saying they’ll check it out. When he called me the next day and just threw it in my face that it would cost money and the brakes would need to be replaced because they were down to 30% and my battery was leaking acid pretty badly. Why wasn’t I told anything about my battery when they were looking at the lights? Is that not something that’s obvious? I paid for the alignment, but took my car to my moms mechanic to check the brakes and battery. The brakes were actually at 70%, not 30% (they showed me them), and the battery was not leaking acid, but did need to be replaced since it was the same battery that was in the car when I bought it in 2017. My moms mechanic charged me the same amount for a new and BIGGER battery that Subaru would have charged me for the same sized battery. I’ve never had any complaints with my service from Subaru. I bought my car at this dealership and get all my service done here .. but I’ll be going elsewhere from now on.
