Buying a car can be a very stressful experience for most people, especially if you are a woman. My husband and I went to two dealerships before we went to Elmhurst Toyota. I was about ready to have a hear people, especially if you are a woman. My husband and I went to two dealerships before we went to Elmhurst Toyota. I was about ready to have a heart attach with my stress level so high, and the not so pleasant experience I had at another Toyota dealership. My husband and I decided to try Elmhurst Toyota, which is where we bought our previous cars. The entire team provided quality and superior customer service. We got a fair price on our trade in and our new car. We are planning to buy another car soon and will definetaly go back to Elmhurst Toyota. We have no regrets and would recommend Elmhurst Toyota to anyone. More
Tomas was very helpful and knew the car inside and out. He made the buying process very painless and went out of his way to help me. In June 2011 I bought my Toyota Sienna 2001 from this dealership for $8,200.00 with over 84,000 miles /plus taxes, fees etc -all together over $9,200.00/ - for close to 11 years old car. this dealership for $8,200.00 with over 84,000 miles /plus taxes, fees etc -all together over $9,200.00/ - for close to 11 years old car. Car suppoose to be "inspected" before was sold to me /apparently- the "inspection " wasn't too good or was done shortly before lunch/. Few hours after I parked my car on the driveway I noticed oil leaking from the rear shocks.I had to replace them very next day -because the oil spots were pretty big. I didn't even call them about this problem. Six week after I had an issue with the peeling paint from the front bumper. I don't even know why somebody came up with the idea of painting it /without proper preparation /. The paint start to peel.It was coming of in sheets -under the rain. Every single piece of plastic around the car was painted with different color of paint.Really bad "touching up" work done very fast. I was able to see it especially during the rainy days. I called them, sent an e-mail to the used car manager /He said that "he didn't get it"/.Finally- after placing bad review on this website the contacted me /15 minutes after I submitted review/.I went over there few days after. They even gave me the spare car for few hours. Everything seem to be working ok this time around.Everybody can make mistake... I asked if they are going to do any source of preparation before repainting bumper this time around. The answer was "yes sir". My "happines" didn't last to long - only till first visit to the car wash. The same problem. I called them with the "advice" to change the guys who are doing that kind of touch-up work for them. This time I didn't want any painting done /simply didn't make any sense/. While I was there...I had a coupon from Schaumburg Toyota for the timing belt which I going to replace. When I asked /mentioning that I purchased my car at their dealership/ if they can match the price...the answer was "no". During the purchase process I mentioned about possibility of buying another Toyota Corolla for my wife in the near future. After that kind of frustration and not too good experience ,we decided to buy a Nissan for Her. Since I had this car for less than a year i discovered many things. Just recently I'm dealing with the check engine light issue/it may have nothing to do with their work/. When I decided to buy the car from this dealership /pretty small, the purchase process was kind of easy etc/ I've been hoping for "piece of mind".I was deeply wrong. Overall -this is a perfect example how a small thing can "screw up" the reputation. It's also the perfect example that good reviews and 4,9 score doesn't mean a lot. You can see mostly /if not only/ just good reviews. You don't see the bad ones - especially on this website.Isn't that amazing ?At least not to many of them. Everybody is just happy. This dealership seems to be care more about having the good reviews that quality of the products they are selling and how they deal with their customers. I want to be mine firts one which isn't too good. I don't want anybody this time around to contact me about this review /neither this website or a dealership/. Perhaps the score will go down to 4,3? I want the other potential buyers to read it and be aware -when You are buying a used car from this and other dealership. Sometimes they buy these cars on the auto auctions for half of the price they later sell them for ,without putting to much effort to make them ready to be sold. Profit-that's what imortant. When the "deal is done" they are happy. Money-that's what's important. More
After going in for a simple oil change, I learned I needed major repairs for my "new to me" used car. Fortunately, I had purchased an extended warranty so much of the costly repairs were covered, but needed major repairs for my "new to me" used car. Fortunately, I had purchased an extended warranty so much of the costly repairs were covered, but that was only after putting Faustino through the ringer with so many "quid pro quos." Faustino was awesome in his follow up and patience ensuring that each step of the way, I was aware of progress and that I was satisfied with his service. Although I had limited interaction with other ET staff, I observed they were all very friendly and customer service focused. As an aside, I chose to have my service performed at Elmhurst Toyota after reading some reviews. I was definitely pleased with my experience and will make this my "home" shop. More
I have bought several vehicles from Rob going back 10 years. My experience has always been very relaxed. His knowledge of the products and his friendly demeanor is a welcome departure from the typical years. My experience has always been very relaxed. He listened to what we were looking for and found the RAV4 we wanted very quickly. He was patient with us while we took the car for several test drives to ensure that we liked the car. At no point did he apply any pressure to us and he allowed for us to decide whether we wanted the car. I got a price better than I expected to pay. Tomas and Elmhurst Toyota have definitely earned the highest rating possible and I plan to return the dealership for all my future car needs. More
