What can I say Larry was wonderful. He knew right off the bat that I hate purchasing cars. He found out what we did and did not want and showed us just that with a few options. We picked up our car last night with the assurance of the customer service that will be their for us for the entire time we own the car. I have always owned GM cars and have now converted to Toyota. Walked into Elmhurst Toyota after having a not-so-great experience at another dealership- saw Debbie when we walked in and recognized each other from previous social events we've been too (small-world expe experience at another dealership- saw Debbie when we walked in and recognized each other from previous social events we've been too (small-world experience). She immediately took the time to show us some Siennas, we explained our previous experience and told her what we were thinking of doing. She took the time to show us a few Sienna's, ran our credit quickly and told us that we could contact her for anything if we decided to come back. We left that night because we saw 2 other cars that we really were in to at the first dealership and decided to wait a few days. After the weekend, we still had not found what we were looking for and I called Debbie to see if there is a way she can put us into a 2012 Sienna for what we were looking to pay for in our monthly budget. We are still working things out to see if she has the car we want and if we can get approved at the right rates- but she has been responsive, considerate of our situation, and very pleasant to work with. We also had a chance to meet Larry who was also great to talk to. This dealership is so nice to work with and even has a great interior to hang out in! I hope we can make a deal work!!! I thought the experience of dealing with Elmhurst Toyota was quite good. No big "pushy" sales tactics, unlike my horrible experience with a Toyota dealership in New Jersey in 1997 which caused me to buy a M was quite good. Andy initially helped me out when I test drove a Prius (my eventual purchase) and a Camry Hybrid. He was patient, given my lack of experience driving hybrid cars. He did not try to force a sale on me right then and there, which was great, since I was not ready to make a decision as I was just at the test driving stage. Once I started to ask for quotes Omar handled the negotiations. He met the price of another dealer, and I was happy to be making the purchase from Elmhurst Toyota. During the discussion on extra warranty and roadside service, I decided not to purchase these options. Again, it was accepted that I did not want them at that time, and it no forceful tactics were used to force it down my throat. I had decided at the time to opt for the dealer-specific protection package, but I changed my mind later that evening after some research and called in the morning to have it cancelled. It was cancelled, and a check was issued to refund me the money. No questions asked. There was a little snafu with the paperwork in that my name was spelled incorrectly on the registration, but they fixed the registration right away. Kudos to them for that. To any other dealers reading this: pushy sales tactics are what make people hate going to dealers. If you're polite and work with the customer as if they're real people instead of just a mark, you'll get the sale, which is what Elmhurst Toyota got, unlike the New Jersey dealer who didn't. Overall I highly recommend Elmhurst Toyota. More
