McGrath had all of the above. I think it is extremely important for people to understand that a dealership won't sell cars for free. Someone needs to make money somewhere. Once that is settled, people need to realize that McGrath is the place to go. Upon showing up to McGrath yesterday, Marcus greeted us with a smile and a handshake (something I hadn't received at another Northern suburb dealership-the guy never even introduced himself). Marcus took us thoroughly through a 360 degree tour of the SUV. There was no stone unturned and no question unanswered. He was extremely professional and knowledgable about all Hyundai model. Most importantly, he made us feel like we were the most important thing he had to deal with at the time and it was obvious how much he loved his job (unlike the other salesman at the Northern Suburban dealership who took a personal call, didn't introduce himself, and decided to buy a snack at the gas station we had to stop at because the car almost ran out of gas). Finally, Marcus also gave us a followup call today to check in with us to see if we had any other questions about the car-Professionalism defined. Jody, the sales manager, is not your stereotypical car salesman. He introduced himself and asked us who we are as soon as we walked up. He cared about what our needs are and listened to us. Of course, as with all car buying experiences, we had to do a bit of wheeling and dealing. Jody was willing to hear us out and he threw in some pretty great incentives on top of all of the negotiating we already did. Our monthly payments from other dealers began at $490/mo and when we walked out of McGrath we ended up at $389 with a lower interest rate. Truth is, the car buying experience is stressful and exhausting. I am not looking forward to buying another car. However, I am looking forward to going back to McGrath to get it. My friends are in the market for a new car and it hasn't even been 24 hrs but I've been raving about MArcus and Jody. Marcus and Jody both deserve an A+ all across the board. More
We (my girlfriend and I)had visited 7 dealers in the Chicagoland area in less than 2 days. We had a set criteria for what we were looking for in a new/used car and how much we were able to spend to make Chicagoland area in less than 2 days. We had a set criteria for what we were looking for in a new/used car and how much we were able to spend to make the monthly payments without added financial burden or stress. Being a young female and walking into a dealership can also come with its challenges. At the first 6 dealers, there was a limited supply of the types of cars we were interested in investing in (Civic , Elantra, Altima)and the inventory that they did have came with packages that were unnecessary for our needs at prices that were unrealistic for our financial situation. The dealers were pushy, sneaky, and in some instances , passive aggressive when we were making the choice to look at other (less expensive) vehicles or when we decided to take the time to think about our purchase, they brought their sales manager over who began to haggle or hard sell us on a product we were not 100% sure we wanted to invest in. Then we found McGrath. We went wearily into this 7th dealer. We were "over" this entire car buying process and were almost at the point where we were going to buy a car online so that we didn't have to deal with anymore sales people. We were immediately greeted by a manager and he asked us what we were looking for. I gave him a laundry list of what I wanted and he immediately introduced me to Fransisco and filled him in on what my needs were. Fransisco listened and brought us directly to the inventory that met our criteria. He didn't try to show me a slightly more expensive package first. He presented the options that fit our criteria and then asked if I wanted to test drive any of them, or if I wanted to look at other models of cars. We took two cars for a test drive. He didn't make me nervous while I was driving by trying to push me into making a decision based on "how I felt behind the wheel", which was a common experience at the other dealerships I visited. After I drove the Elantra I was sure that I wanted to own this vehicle, but I did not have my trade-in vehicle with me. We came in my girlfriends car. After asking about the price of the car, and Fransisco presented the exact e-price that was listed online (so I know he wasn't trying to bump the price up) Fransisco worked with his manager to ensure that the car would be there the following day to purchase. The following morning, Fransisco called to see if we were still interested in the car, and when I said that I was, he had the car washed and ready for me before I got there! Throughout this entire experience he was friendly, pleasant, personable, and knowledgeable. I truly felt like he was there to help me find a perfect car for my needs as opposed to feeling like I was there to help him reach a sales goal. He was genuine and kind and spent time getting to know us as people as well as letting us know him as a person, and it made me trust him as he helped me to make my decision. I hope that we will not need to get a new car in the near future (this is why we switched from a Chevy to Hyundai) but any friends looking to buy , I will refer to McGrath and tell them to ask for Fransisco. I should state that my girlfriend and myself look fairly young, despite the fact that we're both nearly 30. However you'd never know we weren't silly kids from our experience at McGrath. We weren't ever treated like adults, and in fact Nasir was downright rude and condescending, to my girlfriend especially. To add to that it was one of the highest pressure sales experience we sat through before just getting up and leaving. They might be a good dealer, the seem to have good reviews. But our experience was awful. So beware. As an after note. I just got off the phone with Allison who reached out to me after the review to apologize for the service and to find out a little more about what happened. She seemed genuinely concerned and interested in helping us in any way. I wish we had been able to deal with her from the beginning. More

He gave me excellent customer service throughout the whole process. He’s very knowledgeable about the cars. Frank was great to work with and he worked very hard for my sale and I would recommend Frank Delagge and this dealership to anyone I know looking to purchase a car new or used. I will definitely recommend Frank Delagge to anyone looking to purchase a car he’s a very personable salesman with great customer service which means a lot to me when I visit any business. More

I had a spectacular experience buying my new Hyundai Tuscon Limited at Mc Grath City. I ended up working with Michael, who is truly amazing. He is funny, smart, personable, and is very knowledgeable. Before, picking the Tuscon, I was looking at Honda CR-V and the Nissan Rogue. Let me say, Michael never pushed me into buying anything. He gave me a full and honest opinion when I asked about the other cars, which made the decision easier. But when Michael showed me all the features the Tuscon has, I fell in love with the car. He made sure that I understood everything. He even realized when I was completely lost and went over it again. He was awesome! He provided my parents (who were buying the car for me) all the information about the vehicle, services, protections, etc. He gave my parents such an amazing deal! I am a very picky person. I wanted the Tuscon in black, with black leather, fully loaded. Since the Tuscon has been so popular, it’s almost impossible to find. I went to Mc Grath and even though they didn’t have it, Michael was able to find the car and get it to me within 2 days. Other dealerships would have made me wait for weeks to receive the car. While Earl, the salesperson, was a very nice person (but that's what you expect from somebody who wants to sell you a $10K+ car, right?), we feel Mac Grath Car Dealership has definitely not provided the ser that's what you expect from somebody who wants to sell you a $10K+ car, right?), we feel Mac Grath Car Dealership has definitely not provided the service we were looking for. At least it made no more difference to go to Mac Grath than any other Car dealerships in town. 3 main reasons: 1: they sold us a used car at a price that was above market value and even above what Mac Grath was ready to sell (we saw that online the next day...those folks sold us the car "5$" above their actual price...but worse..they made us feel like we actually were getting a discount!). I mean, a dealership that is ready to get the most money out of its customer's pocket, even for $5, is not a dealership that I call trustworthy. 2: the car needed a little work on few scratches, and 1/2 the job was done...we still need to come back another day to finish the work... the car was sitting there all day and there was really not much to do... I don't call that good customer service. 3: Their website is totally out of date and most of the cars showed online are not available anymore! ...Those were the 3 main reasons. Most generaly be careful of what you spend there. To conclude, Mac Grath is a car dealership like any other car dealerships, nothing better, nothing worse... Just make sure you know everything about the car you want so you know what you have to pay ($5 is no gift for Mac Grath!). More
