I went from spending approximately $5k in February to no longer giving them my business because of $189. I went in knowing what my issue was. Something with my brakes was sticking out which they had worked longer giving them my business because of $189. I went in knowing what my issue was. Something with my brakes was sticking out which they had worked on in Feb of this year. Second I knew my starter was going bad because Auto Zone tested it. However the advisor talked me into getting an electrical test versus a quote for a starter. His reason being that Auto Zone tools are “less reliable”. He also tried to get me to get other work done that I declined which was fine. However when I found out that the quote for the starter was more than what I knew it should be I declined the service. Given my prior service costs that I racked up there, with the same advisor, the work that I still got done with them aside from the starter (that came out to be about the same price of the electrical test), and the error they made on my brakes I was naive enough to believe that they would waive the electrical test. Especially since I paid them for telling me what I already knew. I could have just gotten a quote and my brakes corrected without paying a dime. However, you live and you learn. Trust those “free” tools at Auto Zone folks. Don’t let these “certified” dealerships swindle you. Especially since another location originally told me my battery failed and it was Auto Zone tool that identified it was the starter and not my battery. While concluding my service at Honda and expressing my dissatisfaction about paying for the electrical test the advisor had the nerve to tell me “So you won’t feel bad if you come back in 30 days we’ll deduct that from the price of replacing your starter”. Lol so I won’t feel bad? How about so I won’t feel like you played me. Plus the price will still be more than it should be. Yet and still I will be continuing my car service needs at another Honda location. Thanks but no thanks. I was trying not to name the advisor but it requires me to on this site. More
