Had to get service on a 528i that I leased from another (more distant) dealer. They were great, quick, couteous. Not sure about sales, but the Asian gentleman that I'd talked to about a new lease was frien (more distant) dealer. They were great, quick, couteous. We'll see about pricing, however... More

I purchase 2009 BMW demo model. I was offered a BMW protection plan to take care of interior and exterior. No documents vere provided and neither I was told that I need to avail this service at Elmhurs protection plan to take care of interior and exterior. No documents vere provided and neither I was told that I need to avail this service at Elmhurst BMW only. I am fro SPRINGFIELD iL, AND WHE i WENT TO LOCAL DEALER AND HE TOLD ME THAT THIS IS NOT A BMW CORPORATE PLAN AND THEY CAN PROVIDE ME SERVICE. I called Scott 2 days after purchase , initially no response, when i called him again and requested him to cancel this plan, he flatlt refused and asked me to come one time at Elmhurst. I painfully drove 400 mile both ways for this plan. I was surprised that my car was sent to some third part, without my consent. I do not know what has been done to my car, no dcoumentation till date, I still do not know what is covered under plan and where to avail service. I called BMW corprate and complained them and I was told that this plan is not endorsed by them and need to speak to dealer . Dealer silent, no answer. I feel like as if I am cheated. BEWARE DO NOT FALL IN THEIR TRAP FOR VARIOUS PLANS, UNLESS THEY ARE BMW CORPORATE EDORSED. More

Bad Sales experience and Terrible Service experience Bad Sales experience and Terrible Service experience Sales - They cannot stay late. They will keep reminding you they are closing at 8pm even thou Bad Sales experience and Terrible Service experience Sales - They cannot stay late. They will keep reminding you they are closing at 8pm even though you are working on the paperworks of a deal with them. - They like to mislead you to get certain add-on services and products. It's ok but they want you to believe you need to buy certain products because of BMW. - I told Scott A I didn't want the Gap insurance. He told me he cancelled it the next day. I called Scott several times. He didn't pick up the phone. I left his voice mail but he never returned my call. I need to ask the Salesguy to force Scott to call him. I had been calling and waiting for the refund of the Gap Insurance for 6 months. Finally it was sent to BMW Finance. Service - They have a service lady to serve you first but she is useless (more an admin person). - They may make your car dirty. - They may cause damage to your car. - Although it is your right to get a loaner, it's liked you are begging them to get it. - They want you to be careful about their loaners but they don't care about your car (they will take you car out for lunch or a nice ride) Patrick BMW is much better. A little background on the issue... We all know the A little background on the issue... We all know the concept of "shady used car salesmen", but let's be honest. Usually this term calls to mind some A little background on the issue... We all know the concept of "shady used car salesmen", but let's be honest. Usually this term calls to mind someone slinging '88 Pontiacs at an out-of-biz gas station turned car dealership. I NEVER thought I'd encounter this type of behavior at a luxury dealer until I went to Elmhurst. I have been going there for service for a while with no complaints, and figured to expect the same treatment from the sales group. Not so much.... I had been browsing used X5's when a particular dealer who happens to have a nice window view came out to help me. We talked about 2 cars, both V8's, one in blue and one in black. I liked the black one, so I took it out for a spin. Very enjoyable, I'll say. Following the test drive, and after looking elsewhere, I e-mailed the salesman and we began a dialogue on the vehicle (the black V8) that I wanted. He started by giving me the price they wanted, evaluating my trade, and over the course of the week we came to a nice arrangement... I am sitting at his desk, pen and check in hand, and just waiting to cover final numbers when this guy asks "were you looking at the black V8 4.4 or V6 3.0? Because the V8 will be a different price..." xxx!!!! I had not EVER looked at ANY of the V6's. The email string between us clearly shows that I was talking about the V8, as evidenced by the miles and initial pricepoint. (incidentally, the V6 has an extra 20K+ miles) This guy just tried to play me! Got me all the way to the office ready to go, and then pulls out on the price we negotiated over an entire week!!!! Is this even legal? Are email negotiations binding as if in writing? After expressing my displeasure, he "worked" the new price, bringing it down about 1/4 of the way to the price we actually negotiated, which was not enough to make the deal regardless of how angry I was. Add the anger, and as you can imagine, I walked out. This dealership should be ashamed about this behavior! Are they really in such a good place financially that they would screw a prospective buyer out of a V8 SUV in a time when SUVs aren't exactly flying off the lots? If anyone knows the ownership of this dealer, please let me know!!! I'd like to have a few words.... More
Back in January'09 I took my car( BMW X5) in because my check engine ligth was on. They did a test and could not find a reason for it.However, they found many other things that needed to be replaced. Since check engine ligth was on. They did a test and could not find a reason for it.However, they found many other things that needed to be replaced. Since I am a woman and do not know anything about cars I agreed. Evertyhing was fine until the spring came and started to rain..a weird thing started to happen. A water started getting into my car. It was dropping in from brake and speed pedals area. I did not know what was going on so I took my car to the friend on mine because I was afraid that it could mess up my electricity. I was informed that a 'Pipe, hose" that collects water from the sunroof was disconnected and I could clearly see that this was done on purpose. It could not be me cause I would not even know how to do such a thing..Everything was fine until I took my car to the Elmhurst dealer.I would not go back there again!!! More
Elmhurst BMW is one of the best dealers around. I had a Check Engine light come on my 06 330 and pulled into their service drive without a appointment. They were able to get me in right away and gave me a Check Engine light come on my 06 330 and pulled into their service drive without a appointment. They were able to get me in right away and gave me a loaner to drive without me even having to ask for one. They said they had 50 to give so schedualing is not a problem. My car was done the same day with 2 service campaigns completed I didn't know about. Why doesn't BMW send notices to customers about service campaigns? Anyway, these guy are great and I will be returning to there for future service and maybe my new BMW purchase. I really like the new Z4.. More
Please do not go to this dealership. Once you purchase your car, if you have a problem with it, they will try to say it was in an accident and that voids your warranty. Bonnie and Joshua there are no help your car, if you have a problem with it, they will try to say it was in an accident and that voids your warranty. Bonnie and Joshua there are no help at all. It was like pulling teeth to get any help from them. So I called BMW corporate and asked them to stand behind thier german engineering and not allowing a dealership to treat thier customers like an ATM. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. BUYER BEWARE! More
Tried to have them replace a flat tire, but it was one disapointment after another. First, tire did not arrive on the day it was promised. In the meantime, had to drive on my run-flat. Second, they were u disapointment after another. First, tire did not arrive on the day it was promised. In the meantime, had to drive on my run-flat. Second, they were unwilling to provide a loaner until the tire arrived. Third, it was hard to just get a hold of the service personel. They pretty much gave me the run-around, so decided to go to another dealership. More
