It hurts to remember it, all I can tell you 43000.00 in debt and still don't own a car. My 1st was damaged, owned for less than 2 weeks . Dont trust carfax its all bought and paid for. Now I got a loan on a car I don't have . They never returned the money to the bank, got a more expensive car not to get stuck with the first one. 45 days to date and the loan is still on me and the second car, no bank wants to finance because of the first loan and a ton of inquiries they put on my credit. HORRIBLE, DECEIVED, LIED TO Do I have to give them a star???? Because they absolutely don't deserve one. This was the worst experience of my life!!!!!! They sold me a lemon and they sat there and swore in my face that they certify all of their vehicles. They are liars and cheats. I bought the vehicle Feb. 27th from them. First of all when I bought the vehicle the price that I was quoted was not the price on the finance agreement in the finance office the price was 1600 dollars higher. When I asked this price they told me that it was to certify the vehicle. I told them that the sale man never mentioned any of this to me and that I do not feel I should have to pay this amount. So after arguing I was able to get the 1600 waved. We also noted low oil on the vehicle prior to buying. They said it was because they didn't finish the inspection yet. They assured us when we picked up the car two days later that inspection was done and car was ready. Two weeks later car was still leaking oil and they ended up having to do a major repair (rear main seal and axle). So six weeks after this my husband was driving to pick my son up from college and the engine blew in Louisville, Kentucky. So now I am without a car for almost a week!!!! I am trying to get answers and in a rental and I am just getting the run around. I found out that there was a RECALL on the 2013 engine, so basically the engine is a piece of junk!!!!!!! I do not understand how they could sell this vehicle when they knew the engine was no good. I should of bought a toyota!!!! More

HORRIBLE experience First, I almost never write a bad review. I bought a used car at this dealership. Called ahead to confirm the online price which I screen shot. Drove 2 hours to dealership. Person I talked to on phone not "in" today -probably never is. Car looked good went to do paperwork. $995 ADDED ONTO PRICE for an undercoat and exterior protection!!! Did NOT want or ask for this! Was badgered and harassed about this - "oh well, it's done, we can't take it off" blah blah blah. Just kept showing them price online advertised by THEM. Requested manager - gave me some story about how long his hours are like that makes a difference on the car price? TOTAL JERK! They talk and talk and talk - I just keep showing them the online price confirmed the DAY BEFORE by their own sales manager. Finally they admitted they could charge me for what they ACTUALLY DID on the car which was $250 worth of protectant - and they were charging me $995! HORRIBLE. Took FOUR HOURS to get paperwork together and get out of there. They just stalled and talked and badgered me to death. I'm a 45 year old woman just trying to buy a used car and I felt VERY disrespected, pressured and harassed. Manny actually felt bad and tried working with the sales manager but he was a xxxxxxx. Advantage Kia in Palatine have zero diagnostic skills I took my Sorento there for a check engine light. I had a coupon for free diagnostic, but they would only provide the codes from the reader. I can g I took my Sorento there for a check engine light. I had a coupon for free diagnostic, but they would only provide the codes from the reader. I can get that from any auto parts store. I paid for the "full" diagnostic ($130), and they told me I needed to replace the main wiring harness for about $3,000. I took the car to get a second opinion from another Kia dealership (in Elgin). I paid for another full diagnostic, and they were extremely skilled at diagnostics. They saw some signals at a couple test points that caught their attention, so they reached out to Corporate in CA. Feedback from Corporate was to check a connector on the passenger side access panel. They found corroded terminals which they cleaned and the check engine light disappeared. There is no comparison between the level of expertise and maybe the diligence to follow a diagnostic procedure. But, the Advantage Kia in Palatine failed miserably at both. Even though it is much farther away, I will always take my car to the Kia dealership in Elgin. I will NEVER bring my car to the Advantage Kia of Palatine dealership again. I would rate them zero stars if I could. More
