Drove 2 hours to dealership. Person I talked to on phone not "in" today -probably never is. Car looked good went to do paperwork. $995 ADDED ONTO PRICE for an undercoat and exterior protection!!! Did NOT want or ask for this! Was badgered and harassed about this - "oh well, it's done, we can't take it off" blah blah blah. Just kept showing them price online advertised by THEM. Requested manager - gave me some story about how long his hours are like that makes a difference on the car price? TOTAL JERK! They talk and talk and talk - I just keep showing them the online price confirmed the DAY BEFORE by their own sales manager. Finally they admitted they could charge me for what they ACTUALLY DID on the car which was $250 worth of protectant - and they were charging me $995! HORRIBLE. Took FOUR HOURS to get paperwork together and get out of there. They just stalled and talked and badgered me to death. I'm a 45 year old woman just trying to buy a used car and I felt VERY disrespected, pressured and harassed. Manny actually felt bad and tried working with the sales manager but he was a xxxxxxx. Advantage Kia in Palatine have zero diagnostic skills I took my Sorento there for a check engine light. I had a coupon for free diagnostic, but they would only provide the codes from the reader. I can g I took my Sorento there for a check engine light. I had a coupon for free diagnostic, but they would only provide the codes from the reader. I can get that from any auto parts store. I paid for the "full" diagnostic ($130), and they told me I needed to replace the main wiring harness for about $3,000. I took the car to get a second opinion from another Kia dealership (in Elgin). I paid for another full diagnostic, and they were extremely skilled at diagnostics. They saw some signals at a couple test points that caught their attention, so they reached out to Corporate in CA. Feedback from Corporate was to check a connector on the passenger side access panel. They found corroded terminals which they cleaned and the check engine light disappeared. There is no comparison between the level of expertise and maybe the diligence to follow a diagnostic procedure. But, the Advantage Kia in Palatine failed miserably at both. Even though it is much farther away, I will always take my car to the Kia dealership in Elgin. I will NEVER bring my car to the Advantage Kia of Palatine dealership again. I would rate them zero stars if I could. More

This dealership was very professional. I recently purchased a 2016 Dodge Ram from them. They receive other vehicles besides Kia's from auctions sometimes. I was originally going to buy a 20 I recently purchased a 2016 Dodge Ram from them. They receive other vehicles besides Kia's from auctions sometimes. I was originally going to buy a 2013 Dodge Ram from a dealer in Elmhurst however when that deal fell through I saw a posting for a 2016 Dodge Ram at Advantage Kia in Paletine only 2 miles from my house. I called to see if it was available and scheduled a test drive. Within 15 minutes of my call I was at the dealership. My Salesman was Daniel Garcia and he greeted us at the door with a copy of the car facts in hand. After test driving the truck we asked him to wash it and pull it in the service garage so we could see it under the light. Even though the service department had left for the night Danny saw to it that the truck was washed and parked in the service garage for us to view. The only issue I had was when Danny gave me the paperwork with the price it was $995 higher than the price online. He explained to me that was due to the EPC coating the dealer had added. He offered further free applications of the coating which I turned down. Eventually after talking to Sebastian he agreed to remove the $995 because it wasn't reflected on the online price. I then agreed to buy the truck but I wanted to finance the truck through my credit union at 2.42 Sebastian offered to beat it. The next morning I called my credit union and they offered to finance at 2.24 Sebastian offered 2.20. Eventually Sebastian offered a rate under 2% for 5 years to think the dealer in Elmhurst wanted 3.9%!!! I was originally going to buy a truck that was 3 years but instead I got a sharp new truck for a little more for thousands under kbb not to mention their rates are hard to beat. Overall I'm very satisfied with my experience and would recommend Advantage Kia to my friends and family. More

Their online representative Laura was also wonderful in getting back to me regarding availability on their veichles. I also dealt with several other staff members who were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend them to a friend or family member. This is my second Kia purchase. More
