I would highly recommend the team of Mike Hatch and James Won and this dealership to anybody reading this review. They are what every dealership should be in terms of customer service and the ability to meet every person's needs. I have been a long time Acura of Libertyville customer. I have purchased 5 vehicles from this dealerhip over the years. I recently ran into an issue with one of my cars and found myself without a car. I visited the dealer and was treated excepationally well, as usual by Mike Hatch and James Won in the Used car department. Mike and James worked really hard to steer me in the direction of a specific MDX they had in stock that had very low miles, was extremely clean and had a brand new transmission. Once we decided that we were going to work with this car, they went way out of their way to accomodate me and my wife to be at the payment point we needed to be close to in order to stay within our buget. I have not have received this level of attention from a used car dealer, but they work as if selling to friends and family and made us feel very comfortable with this deal. More

I went to numerous dealerships looking at many different brands. After careful review, I finally decided I wanted the Acura TSX. I was pleased to find that Acura dealerships in the Chicago area range from b brands. After careful review, I finally decided I wanted the Acura TSX. I was pleased to find that Acura dealerships in the Chicago area range from being very good to being great. I soon learned that Acura of Libertyville takes this to a whole new level! I originally was not going to go past a certain distance, until I discovered that Acura of Libertyville had a specific TSX that I was seeking. I set up an appointment with Shane Lyon, the Internet Service Manager. Shane Lyon was amazing and through his perseverance, also displayed several other great choices in the TSX. He kept me informed through the entire process. It was quite obvious that he genuinely loves what he does, and especially his clients. He was clear, transparent, knowledgeable, trustworthy, honest, and respectful. Can anyone reading this honestly say that closed on a car deal in 1 hour and 15 minutes (start to finish)? This truly happened!! This was accomplished through the flawless preparation done by Shane and the transaction execution by the Business Manager, Joe Essling. No pressure, no back room talk, no upsell, and no car dealer games. I must also praise James Won and Jerry Solan, who aided in the process by making me feel most welcome. Wanted to get an OEM accessory installed on my vehicle. Since part was not purchased from them, but was purchased from an Acura dealer, they refused to install it. I then called Pauly Acura in Highland Par Since part was not purchased from them, but was purchased from an Acura dealer, they refused to install it. I then called Pauly Acura in Highland Park, they were happy to do it and completed the job the very next day. I tried to buy two Acura vehicles in the past few months from Libertyville, in both instances they were about $3000 to $4000 more than what I actually paid. I gave them 1st and last shot in both instances. Libertyville Acura.....you lost two sales, any future sales from my family and service on any of my Acura vehicles in the future. I tried to buy my vehicles from you, and now since I got a much better deal somewhere else you want to penalize me? Nice customer relations! More

More than one person wanted to make sure we were being taken care of, but they allowed us our own time. James Won was great. He was open and honest, and made sure to explain everything I needed to know. I walked out with a brand new RDX, and would recommend this dealership to anyone. More
i bought five acuras and a used honda van in the last ten years. Four of the transmissions were replaced at 40/60/60/80, the first TL (01) I traded for an 03, the trans was replaced at 40K, at 100K on new tr years. Four of the transmissions were replaced at 40/60/60/80, the first TL (01) I traded for an 03, the trans was replaced at 40K, at 100K on new trans, again needs replacement. Replaced the Honda Odessy trans within three months of buying the van. The dealershiped walked away, I paid for it even though Honda had a recall. On my 02 TL the trans was replaced as I was driving the car out of the dealership. The second 03 the trans was replaced at 80K and I sold it. The 3rd 03 TL within less than a half a year traded for a Toyota as the trans was breaking down. Now, I am thankfull that Honda replaced three taransmissions,but it is their defective product and the defect does not stop. You can call me a total fool for buying cars that are defective. Mr. Bockwinkel wants $5,000 to replace the broken again transmission. Nobody at the dealership can answer, how are these transmissions fixed or it is just the way Honda passed the expense for their product when the warranty for their defective product expires or is the cost to replace eqiuitable after the car is driven of the lot and the consumer pays. Being a dumb consumer, I now realize, Honda does not care, Acura Bkockwinkel does not care, as long as their making money. After the warranties expire so does the concern. Iam not looking for a freebe, but an equitable solution on a defective vehicle that Honda manufactured is a given. Being the original owner I can not except, it is and old car and there is no warranty. More
