We purchase a 2014 RDX about 2 weeks ago, and are very pleased with the car, as well as the dealership. We had a great sales person by the name of Lisa Coulter, who was professional, courteous, and went pleased with the car, as well as the dealership. We had a great sales person by the name of Lisa Coulter, who was professional, courteous, and went out of her way to ensure we were satisfied. We had a few minor bumps along the way, but nothing major or out of the ordinary in a new car purchase. I really appreciated the fact Lisa and the Sales Manager, Chase Diagiacomo were very down to earth. Nothing I hate more than the proverbial smarmy car sales person....and we didn't experience anything like that here, truly a professional team. Lisa actually drove out to our house to pick up our new car for a post delivery option installation. We've had two service issues since delivery and so far, the service team has been great to work with. Just last night, the service advisory offered to send a tech up to set up all the technology settings (Bluetooth, Nav, Etc) that were reset during our service appt yesterday. While not necessary, have not run across a dealership yet willing to do this. All in all, thumbs up! More

I give McGrath Acura Chicago the highest ratings possible based on the overall car purchasing experience. McGrath Acura employs the most knowledgeable sales and service staff. From the moment my wife and I w based on the overall car purchasing experience. McGrath Acura employs the most knowledgeable sales and service staff. From the moment my wife and I walked in the door to the time we drove out with our new RDX we were impressed with our salesperson Jason, General Manager Noble and even the porter who washed and cleaned the car. McGrath Acura goes above and beyond any dealership I've ever done business with. More
VERY IMPRESSIVE! We just took delivery of our new TL VERY IMPRESSIVE! We just took delivery of our new TL and I am impressed and frankly speaking shocked! The experience was the best we have ever enco VERY IMPRESSIVE! We just took delivery of our new TL and I am impressed and frankly speaking shocked! The experience was the best we have ever encountered while car shopping. HUGE amounts of credit go to our salesperson John Ta. He is about the most courteous salesperson around. He certainly gives a fresh, new complexion to the term "car salesman." Here is the story, and I assure you, this is all true! We went in to Acura with the hopes of leasing an ILX. We crunched some numbers and felt that the ILX would be the most we can get from Acura (a manufacturer we both favor), because we had a tight budget. We took a test drive and decided that the vehicle was just not what we had hoped it would be, so we decided to go to Honda and get the Accord we had test drove the day before. When walking us to the door, our salesperson, John asked us what vehicle we REALLY favored at Acura. We both answered him simultaneously that the TL was our dream car and we were pretty sure that it was out of our price range (listing at over $40K). John said that he would like to take a "shot" at the numbers and wondered if we would come back inside and give him a minute to work on it. We had nothing to lose so we agreed, sat back down and he came in with some numbers that were higher than our budget. We suggested that he could take our existing vehicle as a trade-in and maybe that would help get the numbers closer. He took the info from our SUV and told us that it would take more than a minute this time. We decided to go to lunch while we waited. During lunch, we decided that we needed to stick to our original budgeted plan and went directly home, calling John to apologize and explain our thoughts. The sales manager contacted us back within the hour explaining that they not only could MEET our numbers, but they actually figured out a way to BEAT our budget for the exact vehicle we wanted. Calling us skeptics would be an understatement. But we decided to set up a time to "sign the paperwork" (or not) and went back a few days later. True to their word, McGrath produced the perfect vehicle, bested our budget and made lifelong, dedicated customers out of us. We still don't know how it was possible, but are not going to ask. We am happy to report that the new TL is amazing, the experience was the best ever and I cannot recommend John Ta as a respectful, knowledgeable and overall pleasant salesperson. More
We just got our Acura MDX lease with this dealership. We worked with Bill Tsonis who's been nothing short of great!!!!! We did all the negotiations over the email, and once we were at the dealership he did worked with Bill Tsonis who's been nothing short of great!!!!! We did all the negotiations over the email, and once we were at the dealership he did exactly what he promised! Other dealers try to get you in the door and once you're there they change the "game plan" right in fron of your eyes, but not these guys! Great experience with this dealership! I'm sure we'll see them again for our future Acuras :) More

Had a great experience with this dealership. Most of my contact was with Bill Tsonis, starting with e-Mail. He responded to a website inquiry very quickly, and replied to several questions via email at all contact was with Bill Tsonis, starting with e-Mail. He responded to a website inquiry very quickly, and replied to several questions via email at all hours (late night, morning, etc, whenever I sent them). Made a 2 hour trip to Chicago today and was greeted by the friendly staff when we got there, first thing. Checked out a couple cars and ultimately picked out a 2010 Acura TL Tech. We took it for a ride, worked out a few arrangements and drove off with the car. It really was that simple for us - John Kokkalis (pre-owned manager) must hand-pick the stock because the cars are very pleasing. Finance/Business guy James Licardie was also nice to work with - explained the paper work I was signing! Finally, I wanted to mention that Bill really took care of us. Got us drinks, got the car cleaned (it was a bit spotted from rain), filled the gas tank, bought my wife and I lunch (which was excellent by the way, at their in-dealership cafe!), and also explained all of the warranty terms etc. I'll be back to McGrath.. While on my way to work recently, I ran over something that caused an immediate flat tire. When I went to change my tire, I noticed the spare tire was not in good condition. I immediately called John Kakk that caused an immediate flat tire. When I went to change my tire, I noticed the spare tire was not in good condition. I immediately called John Kakkalis who apologized for the oversight, and then he went a step further and promised to repay me the out of pocket expense I incurred buying a new tire. Thanks McGrath Acura of Downtown Chicago!!! More
I bought a CPO'd 2008 Acura TL from them in Oct 2012, after my previous car was totaled in an accident. The salesman (Tom Whitfield) was very knowledgable and friendly at the time of the purchase - part after my previous car was totaled in an accident. The salesman (Tom Whitfield) was very knowledgable and friendly at the time of the purchase - part of the reason I purchased the car from them after bad experiences elsewhere. Ever since, this place has been a NIGHTMARE. The only saving grace is the service guy, Jim Ebe. He has been fantastic (but not enough to give better than 1 star). When I bought the car, I saw the CPO'd paperwork that is required to be completed. I was only looking at the brakes and tires, as everything else more or less is covered under the warranty. Brakes were about 50% and tires were virtually new. All good. I noticed after I purchased the car, and was getting the lesson about the features of the car from Tom, that there were no carpeted floor mats. He checked into it, and told me it would probably be about $400 for new mats! (lies #1 and #2). When they were finishing up the car for me to drive away, the porter put the wrong screw in the license plate holder and jammed it to the point they had to drill it out, and I had actually had to come back in for them to fix it. I told them I wanted them to replace all four screw holder/brackets and the screws. I only saw 2 screws when I picked it up (should have looked more closely). After a couple of weeks, I called Tom for the CPO'd paperwork for my records. Couldn't find it anywhere. He said I should have (lie #3). I looked in my paperwork, and throughout the car...nowhere to be found. I called and emailed again...no response. As the cold set in in Chicago, the car was slow to start. I figured if it had an original battery, it would be 5 years old, and would be slow to start. It also wouldn't start when it got colder. I called them and asked them to check on it. While I was there, I found Tom, and told him I wanted my paperwork. He had someone check on it, and AMAZINGLY my carbon copy was in THEIR paperwork...like I told him all along, but he was either too lazy to go look or didn't want me to see it. As I waited for the testing on my battery, I read the paperwork, and found I was supposed to have been supplied brand new floor mats as a CPO car. What a crock of xxxx - see lies #1 and 2 above. By this point, I had already bought new floor mats online. So I made them give me a new battery (turns out a full set of carpeted floor mats are only d$150, not $400). Later, I wanted to have my car valeted, and realized their was no valet key. I called McGrath, and the service guy said it was built into the key...what?! I double checked and of course it wasn't. I checked the CPO paperwork and was supposed to have 2 masters and 1 valet. I called service to schedule another time to come for my valet key - as I should have already. BTW, each trip takes no less than an hour of driving plus time spent there. It is NOT convenient. After they made the key I tested it, and turns out they made a master key, not a valet key....had to wait AGAIN. Now, I went to replace my license plate frame with a different one, and found that only 1 screw was really holding it. The 2 bottom ones weren't there, because the brackets were broken off. The top left one was loosely in there, and the right one was jammed in to the point I needed to use a xxxxxxx set to get it out. I now have to have 4 of those parts replaced as they should have been originally. I can't reuse those broken, rusted pieces. Through this whole thing, I have put in multiple emails/calls to the salesman (Tom Whitefield) with almost no response. I called and emailed the General Manager, Noble Jones, with NO response. 1. Whoever completed the CPO paperwork checked off boxes as complete when they weren't. I don't trust they did any of the CPO 150 point inspection. 2. The salesman has been an Acura salesman with the McGrath group for 12 years. He must know exactly what is included as part of the CPO cars, which means he flat lied to me about the floor mats and valet key, and intentionally kept the paperwork from me. 3. The GM, never responded. Update: after threatening to bring in the manufacturer, an attorney, and the BBB, the owner called me. He agreed to meet with me when I brought the car in. We set up an exact time. He never showed for the meeting. Their poor treatment of customers starts from the top-down. I have been in sales all my life, and Motor Werks of Barrington has been one of my clients in the professional world. I KNOW service and customer satisfaction, and this IS NOT IT! What a terrible place. More
