McGovern Toyota of Portsmouth - Service Center

I paid $46. 00 for a State Inspection and was given an estimate of about $3,500. For repairs to be done there in order to pass inspection. I also asked to get fluids topped off and was told I could not get oil done without an $ 80.00 oil change. I asked if I could get a voucher for a car wash as they give at McGovern Suburu of Portsmouth and was told by Michelle the rude service coordinator that they do not do that there. I am out $46.00 now and I will NOT be returning for my sticker and will be reinspected and pay again at a reputable, honest auto garage in the area. The issues needing to be done at McGovern Toyota of Portsmouth is suspicious in nature and the garage I had gone to to confirm told me that the issues are most likely less expensive and not as huge a deal to fix as I was lead to believe. I feel like I was taken advantage of and so sorry I did not head the warnings of others about going to McGovern Toyota of Portsmouth for any services. I learned my lesson today! More

David ( service manager) was totally accomodating and efficient. Although we are out of towners , he gave us outstanding service. We were able to be on our way home the next day. The only thing that bothered me was I had to wait l 1/2 hours for a ride home, while my car was being serviced. Everyone there was wonderful and fully addressed my needs in my emergency. I was from out of town and would have been stranded if they had not taken care of me so promptly.
