WONDERFUL experience. 4 emails and I owned my car. No games played; requested bid and received a quote broken out by elements (car, tax, inspection, etc)to drive the car off the lot. I can't say enough games played; requested bid and received a quote broken out by elements (car, tax, inspection, etc)to drive the car off the lot. I can't say enough good about the sales department! The price was one I could live with based on research. I loved the straight forward approach - no insulting "what color" questions to determine the price. Simply - what car, what options. One point lost on overall experience due to their service department. Was promised putting on the side molding and inspection would not take more than 1 hour. I arrived 15 minutes early to ensure they could start on time. I left 2 hours after arriving. My appointment was for 730am. At 9am I walked back into service area to see what was going on and was told "it happens". This was my first experience with the service department. Could be hard to recover. When I'm promised 1 hour max I expect to be there 1 hour max. They would have done better if someone had come to me in the waiting room and apologized or kept me informed but that wasn't the case. A real shame because I really enjoyed the experience until then. More

Anthony Romano is one of the best people I know. Not only that, but he's probably willing to sell you a car. He's honest, mindful of what people want, really friendly, and really funny. He answered every sin that, but he's probably willing to sell you a car. He's honest, mindful of what people want, really friendly, and really funny. He answered every single one of my questions with clarity, and told me everything I needed to know during the financial and logistical processes. Definitely someone I'd recommend buying a car from, and definitely someone I'd recommend getting a beer with. More
We were coming from New Hampshire, so we wanted to do as much negotiating over the internet before making the hour long drive to Acton. Dave Mack started the process by giving us an idea of what a new 2011 much negotiating over the internet before making the hour long drive to Acton. Dave Mack started the process by giving us an idea of what a new 2011 Forester XT Touring would be going for. He was courteous, and answered all our questions. Then John took over the process by telling us that they would give us a fair value for the trade-in of our 2009 Forester. Granted, there was nothing wrong with the '09 but we wanted a turbo for more pick-up on highway rides. This would be our 5th Subaru purchase and we knew exactly what we were dealing with and what we wanted. So, we took the ride to Massachusette. The car we wanted was parked out front, waiting for us to drive. Salesman Renzo took over and was the most decent, honest salesperson we have ever had to deal with. He answered all of our questions, and allowed us to test drive 2 cars and was more than helpful with everything we asked. Needless to say, we made the deal. This dealership was such a "no-BS", "no gimmics", "no haggling back and forth with management" that we actually enjoyed buying a car. This is by far the most professional Subaru dealership we have ever encountered and will be sure to be back for our next Subaru purchase. More
After an unpleasent experience with another local dealership, we went to Village Subaru and were pleased with the service from the very beginning. I got a quick response from David the internet sales dealership, we went to Village Subaru and were pleased with the service from the very beginning. I got a quick response from David the internet salesman. The price was very good, but even more importantly he was very honest and straightforward, with thorough answers to all of our questions and a detailed explanation of the options we had and the process of buying the car. He gave us detailed breakdown of the price including taxes and fees, which I had trouble getting at other locations. When we got to the dealership, Anthony gave us a test drive and overview of the car and features. He was very personable, and did everything to make the paperwork and registration process as easy on us as possible. We never felt pressured or like we were trying to be sold something we didn't want. Both David and Anthony did everything they could to get us everything we needed, without ever being overbearing. Overall, a very positive experience. More
I know this may sound crazy but my husband and I actually enjoyed buying a car from Village Subaru. Buying a car can be anxiety producing but this experience was fast, friendly and easy. They gave us straight forward information over the phone and in person dealt with us fairly and honestly while we arrived at a price. We got a fair trade on our car and I am very happy with the new car. The exact color we wanted was not in stock so they made arrangements to get if from another dealer. I was able to pick it up the next day. All of the paperwork was done for my when I arrived. John Olesen is the man. ;-) Kathryn More
I just finished a phone conversation with Dave Mack and I couldn't be more disappointed. In my first attempt to initiate a relationship with Village Subaru Dave was demeaning and unfriendly. I'm not sure if couldn't be more disappointed. In my first attempt to initiate a relationship with Village Subaru Dave was demeaning and unfriendly. I'm not sure if Dave was uninterested in doing business over the phone, but his demeanor was very hostile as I explained to him how I intended to search for my new Legacy. I have done a large amount of research on the vehicle I want to buy, and I was simply inquiring if Village would like to quote me a new car. Dave was only interested in how close I lived to the dealership. What he failed to calculate (and never asked) was how close I work to Village and how convenient it would have been to have my new Legacy serviced there. Dave took the time to inform me how unoriginal I was contacting him this way. Dave's practice of intimidation affirms my reluctance to visit dealerships, particularly ones with business practices like Village Subaru. The one recommendation Dave gave me that I intend to follow is to talk to Patrick Subaru instead. More
This was the lowest pressured car sales process I had experienced. My wife and I are expecting our first child and for a month had been test driving cars at various dealerships, including another Subaru experienced. My wife and I are expecting our first child and for a month had been test driving cars at various dealerships, including another Subaru dealer. Right off the bat I felt comfortable with Anthony. He asked all the right questions as to what was driving us to look at new cars, the type of car we were looking for, and budget. He stayed well within our comfort zone, never making me feel forced to buy any of the up-sell products most dealers push down your throat. Once we reviewed the vehicles we decided the Forrester best fit our needs and went on a great test drive course, which gave us the needed experience of driving the car in both residential and highway settings (the other Subaru dealer only had us go on a .5 mile loop in a strictly residential area). During the Test Drive, Anthony helped explain the nuances of the Forrester - including the engine, safety ratings (something extremely important to us with our first baby on the way), along with history of Village Subaru. Besides the comfort of the ride, the other great part of the test drive was I never felt like I was being sold on the car. The entire time Anthony was purely consultative and only concerned with trying to find the car that best fit our needs. When we got back to the dealership, Anthony gave us a "walking-tour" of the car so we could understand the other great features of the car. We also discussed Trim Level and color. Of course, the Trim Level and color we wanted was not on the lot at the time we were ready to make a decision, but Anthony was able to use his resources to find EXACTLY the Forrester we wanted and assured us it would be on their lot ready for us to pick up that week. The final part of the process is the one most people dread, the price negotiations. I have not been involved in a more straight-forward process in my life. There was little negotiation only because he clearly presented the numbers to me, I understood how the price was derived, and it met my expectations based on my research of prices on sites such as Kelly Blue Book and Consumer Reports. After the final paperwork was signed, Anthony did not stop there. He made sure he introduced us to everyone at Village Subaru, including the Service Department and Managers. The final step was picking up the car, which was in great condition. Anthony walked us through all the controls again and then we were on our way home. This was a very comfortable experience and not once did I feel like I was being "sold" or given the usual month end deal pressure. In fact, there was never any pressure to purchase, and only after we were given time to review the pricing were we even asked if we were comfortable moving forward with the purchase decision. Yes, a purchase was made at the end, but this was a highly consultative sale in which they were concerned about me as the consumer and what was driving this decision. I had an excellent experience at Village Subaru and would highly recommend them and Anthony Romano. More
My wife my son and I went in because my wife lease was up on her 2007 Subaru Impreza and my son wanted to buy it using his 2003 Forester as a trade in. Village Subaru gave my wife a grat deal on a new Impreza lease and my son goy a great trade in price for his Forester so he could easily afford his mother's car. Dealership was outstanding to work with. Really made a very special effort to give us a good deal first time. On scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best, Village Subaru gets a solid 10. More
We just bought our 3rd Subaru from Village Subaru and yet again had the best car buying experience. Anthony Romano was very helpful, very knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions. He was ple again had the best car buying experience. Anthony Romano was very helpful, very knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions. He was pleasant and at no time exerted any undue pressure, which was great (and very different from what we found at some other dealerships). Now we have a great new car and had an excellent buying experience (and very easy financing process with the help of Keith). I would recommend Village Subaru and Anthony Romano absolutely and without reservation. Great place to buy your next car! More
