I've always been a Toyota buyer and I only stopped into Village Subaru because Toyota has nothing exciting this year. It's a good thing that I did, because I met Senior Sales Representative Anthony Ro into Village Subaru because Toyota has nothing exciting this year. It's a good thing that I did, because I met Senior Sales Representative Anthony Romano and had the best buying experience in a long, long career. Anthony never pushed but he was a great educator. He made sure that I knew in detail what I would be getting for my money with an Outback, so there wouldn't be any surprises. The test drives were actually fun and he never, ever condescended to me: he always acted as if my satisfaction were more important than his selling the car, and I'm sure that he was sincere about that. At the closing he didn't pressure, but he did let me know what the bottom line was likely to be, just to set expectations. Although Subarus aren't cheap, I feel like I got good value for my money, so I'm happy with the deal. Christopher Wright is the Business Manager for Village Subaru, and he handled the money part of the transaction quickly and efficiently and even knew how to handle the situation of my tradein's missing title. I love it when a deal goes smoothly, without surprises. So I used to be a Toyota guy and maybe someday I'll go back to them, but right now I'm a Subaru partisan because Village Subaru is such a great place to do business. More
I had a great experience with Bethany. She directly gave her bottom line regarding the price. Because we already had the prices from other dealers, so we felt her price was good and was close to our price, her bottom line regarding the price. Because we already had the prices from other dealers, so we felt her price was good and was close to our price, which made the negotiating process much easier. I like her working style. It is straightforward and simply. And she is a certified staff dealing with RMV problem. So she can directly finish the work at scene which is supposed to go to RMV office. More
My wife and I had been holding off on buying a 3rd car for about a year.... we had real anxiety about the whole process, but with our oldest son getting ready to start driving, we really couldn't stall an for about a year.... we had real anxiety about the whole process, but with our oldest son getting ready to start driving, we really couldn't stall any longer. The plan was for my wife to finally get a new daily driver and the 9+ year old mini-van would be freed up for our son to use. We had 4 requirements: 1) My wife had to really LOVE the new car 2) Our boys are over 6 feet tall and so am I. We wanted something that we could ALL be comfortable in 3) Gas mileage 4) AWD for safety during our New England winters I researched "Cars for Tall People" on the internet and found the Forester was one of the top picks. We found Village Subaru online and saw a large selection of new as well as Certified Pre-Owned cars available. My next step was to fill out the online finance application. We got an email back from Bethany Juneau, the Bus. Dev. Manager. She had some follow up questions and wanted to know when we could come in to look around. We really only had one day/time that would work for us due to busy schedules, so we set that date and went in. Can't really describe it, but the anxiety that had built up in my wife and I just disappeared when we met Erik Holm in the sales dept. We talked about our requirements (above) and he indicated that the Outbacks were very comfortable for tall guys too, not just the Forester. I left my winter jacket on and climbed into the display Outback they had in the showroom. He was right... very comfortable and tons of room. This led to a test drive of an Outback as well as a Forester. They were both very nice, but my wife was hooked on the Outback (see requirement 1 above). Next we started talking about the idea of a CPO car instead of brand new. Erik showed us a 2012 CPO Outback 2.5 Premier in Ruby Red Pearl with 11,000 miles on it. This was THE car for us. Which led us to Chris Wright in the Finance Dept. We talked, briefly actually, about where we wanted to be and just like that it was done, and at a great rate. We included an extended warantee at a very good price to boot. So all of this was on a Thursday evening and took maybe 1 - 2 hours total. We came in the next night about 30 minutes before they closed and were gone with hour new car in 20 minutes. I really cannot imagine how this sales experience could have gone better for us. I will look forward to a similar review once we've had an opportunity to work with the Service department. More
A few words of praise for Village Subaru. We bought our new Crosstrek from them a few weeks ago and Frank was our salesman – very professional and friendly. The whole process was stress-free and pleasant f new Crosstrek from them a few weeks ago and Frank was our salesman – very professional and friendly. The whole process was stress-free and pleasant from the beginning to the end. We got a good price and went home very satisfied. A few days later, we noticed that the requested optional auto starter was not made by Subaru, as we expected it to be. We called Frank to complain and he passed us on to John Olson. John immediately offered to replace it with a Subaru one at no cost to us. The work was done as promised. This action is the final proof for us that Village Subaru is an outstanding dealership. More
I would highly recommend this dealership! 5 out of 5 all around. Bethany Juneau saw to it that I got the exact vehicle I wanted on very short notice at a price that had other dealers beat by a mile. Bethany was on top of everything from the very start and it stayed that way right up until I walked out the door. Anthony was also very helpful, very responsive to my various inquiries and was very thorough. These people are real and they will work with you to get you what you want! Great experience. More
Biggest waste of time. 2 pronged review here: First Biggest waste of time. 2 pronged review here: First I'll rate the business development manager Bethany Juneau...Bethany was fantastic. I have been Biggest waste of time. 2 pronged review here: First I'll rate the business development manager Bethany Juneau...Bethany was fantastic. I have been shopping for quotes online, and Bethany was by far the only reason I went to Village Subaru. She was extremely attentive, always accessible and a pleasure to correspond with. Second, was unfortunately, the sales person John Camper. Having worked as a Sales manager in the auto industry for 2+ years I know the industry/process/details inside and out. I have the quote from Bethany and needed to figure out my trade #'s. Perhaps John was upset about having to work the day after thanksgiving, who knows, but I have never come across a more rude, and less helpful sales person in the several years I spent working in the industry, or during the 17 cars I've personally bought over the past 12 years. Ive shopped my trade around, I know its value, Ive done this before. Most people trading a car are unrealistic, im not one of those people, I have a realistic perception of what my trade is worth...I used to be a Sales Manager remember. Not once did he actually look at my trade or ask me any details. he simply looked in a NADA book and came up with a number $5000 less than the lowest offer I had received. Used the reason "we dont sell AWD sedans here"...I could only laugh because its a SUBARU DEALERSHIP...90% of what you sell are AWD Sedans. Perhaps he figured out that I wasn't going to be ripped off, which seems to be the norm for him, and didn't want to waste his time...I think he figured out that I know more than he does about his own job. I thanked him for wasting my time and walked out. He even lied about have the "exact car" as my trade already on their lot...after looking online at their inventory they don't have anything close. I went straight to Cityside Subaru and bought my WRX. Cityside doesn't have Bethany which is a bad thing, but they don't have John Camper which is great thing. More
I'll preface this review by saying I have bought 8 cars in the past 10 years. (Mostly for work). I'm an experienced buyer and generally make contact via the Internet. My experinece with Village Subaru was in the past 10 years. (Mostly for work). I'm an experienced buyer and generally make contact via the Internet. My experinece with Village Subaru was by far the best I've had in the past 10 years. My initial contact with Bethany via email was seamless and easy. After 2-3 emails back/forth and a brief phone conversation we had a deal structured in under 15 minutes. When I went into their location I was greeted by Anthony Romano and the paperwork and trade-in evaluation was done in under 15 minutes. That's rare! My time is valuable and I feel as though Anthony make an extra effort to get me in/out. Not having the exact vehicle on the lot they were able to locate and deliver one from another dealer in under 2 days. All in all, it was fantastic from start to finish. We liked our Crosstrek so much we came back a week later and bought another Subaru (Outback). Once again- very streamlined process. No haggling. Village gave me a very fair deal on my trade-in and Anthony was excellent. I highly recommend Village Subaru and Anthony. Having dealt with many dealers in the past I can honestly say they are in a class above the rest! More
I recently purchased a preowned Subaru Outback from Village Subaru. I first contacted Bethany Juneau whose emails were extremely positive, professional, and helpful in actually getting me to drive to Ac Village Subaru. I first contacted Bethany Juneau whose emails were extremely positive, professional, and helpful in actually getting me to drive to Acton to look at two vehicles. Then upon arriving at the dealership, I worked with Anthony Romano and John Olesen. Both gentlemen were "real" to the point professionals who wanted to help me find the right car and make the best decision for me. Anthony was very patient and very knowledgeable and was ready to answer all my questions. Anthony doesn't play the typical salesperson game - he really makes you feel that he cares that you purchase the right car. Subaru should be proud that they have a guy like Anthony representing them in the world of so many car dealerships to choose from!! John helped to make the deal "happen" and I couldn't have been happier. John brings a calmness to the deal with a sense of humor which helps when your nervous about making the right decision and spending the kind of money a car purchase requires. I got a great trade-in price for my older Subaru and a great deal on my beautiful Outback!! I will definitely recommend Village Subaru! More
