Andy was easy to work with. He knew what I wanted and worked very hard to make it happen. I had a great start, then a scare, followed by a great finish, with Ocean Subaru. I started online, and received an immediate reply back from Mark Galante, GM. I called and Kathleen answered. I was looking at a specific used Otuback, but in talking with her, learned that the 2012's had arrived. Upon my arrival at dealer, I saw the new car line up, and Andy greeted me outside immediately. He was very thorough, but pushy about closing a deal, at the same time, deferring my questions about figures to the finance guy. I knew what I wanted, so I went ahead with their method of operation. Next, the finance guy, Skip, explained all at length, and the deal was soon completed! However, I learned there was a recall on a brake part, which Subaru would have to deliver and install before I could take the car home. I called 3 days later, and was given what I felt to be the brush back, "we'll call you as soon as they come in"...."the manager is out". I drove back and called off my deal in the GM's office. He listened and asked if there was anything they could do to earn back my business. After I initiated an email to him (a few days later)to keep me posted if any cars came in that did not have this recall, he found a car and I went and picked it up within the next week. Before driving the car off lot, another salesperson, Ben, sat with me and very efficiently explained the warranty, service, and features of car, the driver's manual, etc. All my questions were answered. Also, in their letterhead, Ocean describes a few exclusive special offers for Ocean Subaru customers. Though I had to ask, the additional offers cited online were sent in mail and through email to me. Don't forget to mention these when you go! I am very pleased with my car, with the GM, and staff of Ocean Subaru. 28.5 avg MPG on first road trip for Outback, and handles with confidence in the few inches of fresh snow we have had to date! Finally, on price, I was pleased to note that the Base model now comes with the all weather package, though it is a jump from last year's Base price, (approx what the 2011 Premium cost last year). Subaru was offering 0% financing and since I liked the new styling and performance of the Outback, I decided to trade in my old car for a new Subaru. It has been a great car so far. Before I bought my current Subaru from Ocean Subaru, I had work done on my 2000 Subaru there. I was always treated with respect, my questions were answered fully, and I never felt that anything was sugge had work done on my 2000 Subaru there. They did what they said they'd do with no hidden expences.The quality of work was always excellent...no further problems...ever. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I bought my car one day and needed to pick it up the next. I worked with two different people both of whom were very knowledgeable and helpful. I would certainly recommend a Forester Subaru to anyone...it's the best car on the market and I would suggest that the car be purchased at Ocean Subaru because of the great service I have received there. I wanted a red Forester with heated seats,a moon roof, intermittant wipers and a CD player. There was not a car like that on the lot, but they found me one. I wanted remote starting, a special treatment inside and out (twin 8 year old boys and a black lab)and heavy duty floor mats. These are extra items I chose, they were not "suggested" items I may like. No one tried to up my price. I had taken very good care of my 2000 Subaru Forester and I feel I received a fair trade in value (I did check the blue book). I am very please with my 2011 Subaru Forester. When I drive it I feel like a am in a ccoccoon of steel protecting me. I am very glad I bought my car at Ocean Subaru, They are a pleasure to work with. More
