They worked to acquire just the vehicle I was looking for, and I could not be more pleased with the result. I shall look forward to servicing my vehicle here, as the dealership appears to back their sales with quality service. More
I was able to get all my questions answered and conduct all negotiations over the internet. A very helpful timesaver. They offered opinions on auto trade-in value. If only I could say one nice thing about Ocean Subaru, but the fact is I cannot. I was disrespected from the moment I sat down. The sales people were incredibly disinterested in selling me a car. I was lo but the fact is I cannot. I was disrespected from the moment I sat down. The sales people were incredibly disinterested in selling me a car. I was looking for a brand new car. After a long test drive in a new one and some conversation, they suggest a slightly used car. I was open to the idea since it was the same model. I was told that the car only had 2300 miles on it. When I got in it the odometer said 5000! When I asked about it they said the manager had been driving it. They let me take home the used vehicle which I believe was just to get me out of there so that they could go home. I am glad that they let me take it home as I realized it was not what I wanted for the price they were asking. It was 23,900 with 5,000 miles. So I decided to go to another dealer. When I came back the next day, after visiting another Subaru dealer who gave me a better offer on a brand new car with no miles on it, they simply got up to get the keys to the car I currently own. Isn't it the job of a car dealer to hear that you got a better offer some where else and then try and give you something better? Clearly these people did not care one ounce about my potential business. I was even told that they would not work hard to get me a good deal if I would not commit to whatever price they said. I was then asked how would I like it if I worked my tail off for a client who then said, "Nah I don't want that anyway?" I nearly died because I am a public school teacher! I get that all day long with my students! I could not believe the nerve these people! They have truly made my experience with Subaru horrible. So I went back to the other dealer and ordered a brand new one for less than the used one with 5,000 miles on it! More
I visited this dealership to peruse the used Outbacks and Impreza Wagons. The sales guy who met me in the lot said he was new and while he may be able to sell me a car, he knew a lot about them. However, aft Impreza Wagons. The sales guy who met me in the lot said he was new and while he may be able to sell me a car, he knew a lot about them. However, after I told him I was looking only at outbacks and impreza wagons, he asked me if I was looking at six cylinder versions or just the 4CYL. These cars only come in 4CYLs. I asked to drive one, and while he was getting the keys, we noticed that one of the front bumpers was ZIP-TIED to the quarterpanel. I told him I wasn't interested and explained why, and he was so surprised that I feel it must have been an act. All of the cars I looked at (4) had been repainted and had concealed damage. His father also worked at this dealership and he as well didn't seem too knowledgeable and made cheesy comments in an attempt to gauge my interest. Typical salesman. I bought a car two days later from Exeter Subaru. Don't waste your time with this place. More
