He didn’t hesitate to call me and cut the back and forth. I really appreciated the conversation versus text messages back and forth. After discussing what I was looking for and expectations, I set an appointment up. A.P. Sent over directions to me. I ended up visiting McGovern the next day due to my schedule. Travis showed me the Subaru Legacy I was interested in and spent time showing me the features. After a test drive, we worked out some numbers, hit finance and got everything done quickly. I have purchased cars before and know the flow. This one went very smoothly and there were no surprises. It was about 2 hours walking in to leaving with the paperwork done. It seemed to go by very quickly. Picked up the car the next afternoon and everything was ready to go. The first service appointment for the oil change was setup. I even had the email from Subaru Starlink already in my email. Travis spent some time with us going over Apple CarPlay and getting it setup for us. Overall, I am very happy I took the time to go visit McGovern. This was the best experience buying a new car I have had. More

The reason is that no real suggestions were offered other than me buying a car before they close in an hour in a half. The huge issue was my trade in. It has significant damage, and I understand that. But I'm not going to take a huge hit of negative equity without looking at my options first. The salesperson I was with didn't really seem to have the time to discuss alternatives. Maybe I do a lease turn in instead and see if Subaru's damage allowance helps me towards my payment. That's $1,000 extra in my pocket right there. Maybe I call my insurance and pay my deductible to get it fixed. Maybe I save up a bigger down payment over a few weeks or months so I can lower my payment. Maybe he could recommend a used car that fits my budget. (even if its not ideal) He seemed adamant that lowering my payment was not happening. Or at least that him exploring those options on his time wasn't happening. The only option was that I tell him how much more Im willing to pay to buy the car today, and eat over $6,000 of negative equity on a car that has a busted up liftgate. And if I go to shop "theyre all going to tell me the same thing" I immediately called a different dealer and the basis of our conversation was much different. They heard the concerns involving my trade and said their service and parts department can even give me a quote on a new liftgate install, then I can talk with my insurance. I wouldn't recommend the sales department here based on my experience today. Definitely explore your options before buying something there. The service department on the other hand is fantastic. I was really disappointed in sales. More

Randomly stopped in on my way to Maine only to get an offensive offer on a lease for a new outback… almost 700 dollars a month with an excellent trade in. I had to check the sign on the door to make sure offensive offer on a lease for a new outback… almost 700 dollars a month with an excellent trade in. I had to check the sign on the door to make sure I was at Subaru and not jaguar. As I got up to walk away the salesman tried to stop me to talk to his finance guy on a better offer but i was not interested in doing business with a dealership so ready and willing to rip me off blind. Save your time and money and go to a different dealership. More
Do not buy from here! If they have the vehicle you are looking for, trust me you are better off waiting for a similar one to come on at a different dealership. Where to If they have the vehicle you are looking for, trust me you are better off waiting for a similar one to come on at a different dealership. Where to start? Negotiated our vehicle and price prior to arriving, we show up payment is slightly more than was told day before. We look at the vehicle, inside is filthy. What dealership does not detail the interior? Dirt everywhere. Our "salesperson" travis, I guess because we Negotiated prior to coming, acts like we arent even there. We drove over an hour, they knew this and just tried to take advantage. You are a number to them that is. Prior to arriving we called our insurance so it could be transferred but Mcgovern had to send them paperwork when we signed. Mcgovern said they would, but because they are lazy/careless did not even contact our agent! This caused 2 trips to the rmv to register the car. As we leave, come to find out, the sales team must have taken our car out for joy rides because it had 500 more miles than was advertised or we signed for! Also could explain how dirty it was. Just droped $300 on an interior detail because they are that awful. More
Should have been an easy sale for them given my financial situation, but it was definitely not a pleasant experience. Very adversarial approach. The salesman continually made me sit and wait 15-20 minutes ea situation, but it was definitely not a pleasant experience. Very adversarial approach. The salesman continually made me sit and wait 15-20 minutes each time he went behind some counter "to discuss with his manager". They want the customer to feel that the dealership has all the power, all the control in this transaction when it should be a mutually beneficial partnership. Instead of getting a receipt for my deposit, was told the cashier was unavailable, he would e-mail it. Two days later I went back (after finally receiving the emailed photo of the receipt that morning), and was told the "deal" offered on their website was only available for cars that were physically on the lot, but they had none - seemed very fraudulent. After further discussion about their greedy $2,500 "market adjustment" and higher financing rates I cancelled the order and requested my deposit check back. Alas, another 15-20 minutes sitting and waiting. I'll never recommend them to anyone. I then worked with a dealer that does NOT do any "market adjustments" and whose honest staff who are much more respectful toward their customers. More
We worked with Patrick Accorsi. He knew we had been looking for a a safe vehicle for my sister. She a single mom and it’s been so hard to find the right vehicle at the right price in this crazy market. looking for a a safe vehicle for my sister. She a single mom and it’s been so hard to find the right vehicle at the right price in this crazy market. We had been looking for a good part of the Summer and Patrick was really patient sending us options. We found the perfect vehicle and Patrick made the whole process simple. He went the extra mile for sure getting the car looking showroom ready and even got us a huge bow for when we surprised her. So grateful for all of Patrick’s hard work and for the team at McGovern. This won’t be the last time we use this dealership. They are trustworthy and we would especially recommend working with Patrick. More
I went to register my used subaru that I bought from Mcgovern and they told me at town hall that I would need a Previous Title Number and Previous State of Origin. Apparently it was missing from my Titl Mcgovern and they told me at town hall that I would need a Previous Title Number and Previous State of Origin. Apparently it was missing from my Title Application. I called and spoke with the Title Clerk Kristina(?). When I asked her for the info, she said the info was not in yet. I responded that this was the last day to drive on my temp plates. The woman came unhinged and started shouting: I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN ITS COMING IN, I DONT KNOW WAHT TO DO!!!!! and hangs up. She calls back 2 mins later apologizing frantically. She is saying that a bunch of people were talking loudly in her office. I told her that the shouting was unnecessary as I am a customer. She apologized like 10 more times and we ended the call. Mcgovern needs to either give some customer service training or loosen the pressure on this individual. She literally snapped after being asked a simple question. All of you Car dealers record your phone calls, go listen. More
BUYER BEWARE: Very very very bad experience. They told me I wouldn't have to pay sales tax due to the trade in vehicle being more valuable that the purchased vehicle. They were wrong and it cost me 1100$ out I wouldn't have to pay sales tax due to the trade in vehicle being more valuable that the purchased vehicle. They were wrong and it cost me 1100$ out of pocket. Unprofessional, pushy, over promise and under deliver. I was hoping they'd be different Your, but its just Your typical shady car dealer with no care for the community, just money. You may get a "deal" just check your paper work and make sure the number on the contract matches the number they promise. Ill be going to Tri-City to service it. More
