We recently purchased a brand new Kia Telluride from McGovern Kia of Norwood. While the car seems very nice (we have had it for four weeks), I would highly recommend shopping somewhere else for a Kia - McGovern Kia of Norwood. While the car seems very nice (we have had it for four weeks), I would highly recommend shopping somewhere else for a Kia - I have heard great things about Liv Kia in Framingham. We should have listened to people who said that. Both the sales and the service department leave a lot to be desired. Once they make the sale, the folks at McGovern Kia really just check out. We have had numerous issues. The first issue caused them to keep the car for 10 days after we spent $55K on the car and took our other car off the road for a very simple fix. I constantly had to reach out for updates. Additionally, the car was supposed to come with a roof rack that was missing. I had to chase them down for weeks to set an appointment. I have emails confirming an appointment for today 7/26/23 but when my wife got there they said she was not on the schedule. They gave her a two hour time window and they actually gave her a loaner (to go to Legacy Place). She waited for four hours and received no call. Upon return, the car had not been worked on at all. The incompetence and lack of focus on the customer is OFF THE CHARTS. I would not recommend that anyone buy a car at this dealership if you care about customer satisfaction and service level. I would welcome a response from anyone in management but can't get past the first tier of people. There is no teamwork and seemingly no training on how to treat customers. They actually had the gall to offer a free tank of gas for a good review - fat chance of that happening. More

McGovern Kia - 2017 Kia Sorento, vehicle service visit: Last week I was deciding on what Kia dealership I was going to go to and have my 2017 McGovern Kia - 2017 Kia Sorento, vehicle service visit: Last week I was deciding on what Kia dealership I was going to go to and have my 2017 Sorento’s upcoming 45K vehicle service scheduled needs. To my surprise I found out that the McGovern Auto Group had taken over O’Brien Kia of Norwood. Wow! What great news that was. I knew of the McGovern Auto Group and their excellent dealership reputation. I called the McGovern’s service department and scheduled a 45K service appointment. The phone conversation with the service advisor was professional and courteous. The service advisor took the time to explained all about the service process. Upon arrival at McGovern Kia for my service appointment day, I was warmly greeted by Service Advisor James Charron. He took all my information, asked what services I needed done. He then explained the process of what was going to be done to my vehicle and the dollar cost for each maintenance item or repair. He then inquired if I need a ride home or had any other concerns. James was very professional. He made the service intake process a very easy and comfortable occurrence. Within 10 minutes of so, I had received on my phone, a time/process log of my vehicle’s service. Just as I leaving the service area to wait for my own ride home, a person walking around in the car lot, introduced himself to me. His names was Jimmy Peluso and he told me that he was the General Manager of McGovern Kia. He wanted to know if he could help me in any way and to make sure that my experience at the dealership was a positive one. He gave me his business card and told me to contact him if there was anything that he could assist me with. I was very impressed with his concern that I was satisfied and happy with my service department experience. This was a very warm welcome for my initial visit to McGovern Kia. I have punched 3 Kia cars, from one of the previous owners, Central Motors Kia. My car experience rates the KIa Sorento cars as a superior vehicle. In the near future I will be looking to purchase a newer Kia Sorento. I would not have gone back to previous Kia dealership for many different reasons. My first visit to McGovern Kia has impressed me with its staff’s professionalism and making my first visit to the dealership an informative and productive process. Later that afternoon when I returned to pick up my car. James Charron, the service representative, explained to me what was serviced on the vehicle and the cost of each service item. The previous quote and final cost were basically the same number. James asked if I had any questions. We settled the payment right at the service advisors desk. This made it a much easier process. James then proceeded to bring my vehicle to the service area. He thanked me for my business. Just as I was about to leave the dealership I meet GM Jimmy Peluso again. He asked me how everything was and did I have any concerns. I thanked him for asking and appreciated the fact that he took the time to make sure that I was satisfied and happy with the services at McGovern Kia.
