Insurance took 2.5 months and a lot of back and forth but James went out of his way as usual to work with my insurance and I on the appraisals. Without James, the car would probably still sit there waiting for parts or for sign off from insurance. James is the best! More
I made my appointment online and it took many weeks for a slot to open. My dashboard lights were on and my backup camera was working intermittently. I was greeted by James. I told him 3 years prior I had the same issue with the lights. The same dealership location but under a different name. They fixed the problem but said it was covered under recall warranty. I purchased my car at this location also under a different name. Maybe three changes in ownership over 12 years should be a tip off. Now in order to fix the dashboard lights, the car needed a new ABS sensor cost $500. I’m a nervous driver and I wanted these lights off. After paying $1500 total because of the camera and additional problems found during the checkup, I now find out because of rust on the axle the lights won’t go out. This was the only reason I brought the car in. If I was told upfront that the rust may cause this problem, I wouldn’t have had them do the work. I was told the sensor was dead but still seeing all the same lights on, I have my doubts. For all I know the rust issue was the initial problem. I gave them 3 stars because I liked James and felt he was just the messenger. He also arranged for a Lyft, which I thought was nice. But I think the mechanic knew beforehand and should have advised me before proceeding with the work. More
