I generally hate the new car purchasing process. For this reason I put off replacing our 2000 Honda Odyssey for a long time. When I started to look it seemed like my experience was mirroring my fears. this reason I put off replacing our 2000 Honda Odyssey for a long time. When I started to look it seemed like my experience was mirroring my fears. Most places were playing games and telling me essentially to take or leave their initial offer of MSRP since this is a popular car. Then I visited Honda Boston. Eric Young immediately put me at ease. I felt that he respected that I was trying to get the best deal possible and did not treat it as an adversarial transaction. Based on my research I believe that I got an great deal on the car, and I liked that they had the car I wanted in stock. What impressed me most though was how he and the rest of the staff treated me _after_ the purchase. I felt that they helped me through the financing portion the registry (including a lost title), etc with a minimum of hassle and a focus on customer satisfaction. I am a consultant and and understand what good customer service is versus lip service. In my opinion, these guys delivered. One incident which I thought spoke volumes was this. When they were prepping the car they peeled back the protective backing and found a flaw in the paint from the factory. Eric could easily have made some excuse and had me come back a day later after he had it fixed, but instead he immediately brought it to my attention and let me make the call. Ultimately I opted for a different car and again - there was no hassle though I know it meant that they had to re-do all the paperwork. I will be back when it's time to get my next car. More
Even though I am 30 years old, this was my first time getting a new vehicle. It was also the first time anyone in my family was looking to lease a car. My parents and I met with John and not only did h getting a new vehicle. It was also the first time anyone in my family was looking to lease a car. My parents and I met with John and not only did he make me feel at ease but he also made my mother and father feel at ease (which is a feat in itself)!!! John is a great person to deal with and he makes you feel like you are his only customer! I guess it is the Somerville roots!! I was actually just browsing the Showroom while my leased 2008 CRV was being serviced and I ended up leaving with leased 2010 CRV. Eric was very friendly and professional throughout the entire process as he 2008 CRV was being serviced and I ended up leaving with leased 2010 CRV. He even went the extra mile and delicately scrapped off my city parking permit on my windshield to save me a trip to the get a new one. I would recommend him to family and friends without hesitation. I am more than satisfied with my experience at Honda Cars of Boston. Within 12 hours of signing the paperwork, I had my new Civic all registered, inspected and delivered to my front door! I was in the market for a Subaru Outback since this is the car I was use to for the past 12 years. I needed another car since my Mother totalled her car, and I was giving her mine. I was not ready to spend so much for a new car due to funds. Mr Eric Young gave me information about a used 2008 Subaru Outback with only 8,000 miles basically a new car. I had never brought a used car so was hesitent. He suggested without pressure to just come see the car and test drive it. I went to the dealer saw the car and couldn't believe my eyes. The car had leather seats, a Moonroof which I had always wanted, wood grain dash, 6 CD palyer, and heated mirrors things I could never afford if I were buying it new. Needless to say, I test drove the car and I knew it was mine. Because Mr Young listened to my request and didn't pressure me, but gave me the true facts I would recommend all my friends and family to go to Honda Cars of Boston and ask for Mr Eric young. I have always had a negative view of car sales people, but Mr Young has shown be there are Good People in the business ready to listen and guide you, and not take advantage of you. More

I had a very good experience working with Eric Young at Honda Cars of Boston. I had previously worked with him a few years ago and he got me into a car with no problems. I would recommend anyone looking to get into a new Honda to go to this dealership.
