Worst business I've EVER dealt with. Took my PERFECTLY running car in for recall work on 5/26/21 (replacement of 3 parts that could cause injury or death), and left with a check engine light! McGovern dec running car in for recall work on 5/26/21 (replacement of 3 parts that could cause injury or death), and left with a check engine light! McGovern decided that the lean fuel code was not related to the fuel tank having been drained, disconnected, removed and replaced, and flat out refused to take responsibility if a hose is crimped or other disturbance due to their work. While there, they did a multi-point inspection, indicating that I needed new tie rods immediately...why would that be, when I had inner/outer tie rods, ball joints, rack & pinion and lower control arm changed and alignment performed 2k miles ago? When I brought this to the attention of the Service Director (who seems in WAY over her head), this is the reply I received: "You keep finding new things to discuss that won’t fix your vehicle." The car passed front end suspension at a state certified inspection station in June, yet Ms. Cray is bothered that I would like to discuss her tech's questionable recommendation? Customer service is NON-EXISTENT here. Check online reviews and RUN from this disaster or you will be sorry! More

Purchased a new 2021 truck from McGovern Ford the worst experience I ever had, They lie and bend the truth just to make the sale. When you have a problem there is no one that wants to help you. The only think they care about is taking your money. It's not 1 person it a cancer culture. More
Absolutely disgusted at how this dealership does business. I purchased a vehicle from them 4 months ago and it failed safety inspection right off the bat, it needed all new brakes and tires to be sa business. I purchased a vehicle from them 4 months ago and it failed safety inspection right off the bat, it needed all new brakes and tires to be safe to drive on the road. A few months after the purchase the vehicle needed a major repair ($3,000+) to run again. I reached out to the GM Scott Carter about the issue and how we could resolve it and ended up being ignored and never receiving a response back. An absolute awful way to lead your team in customer service Scott, shame on you. I hope customers read this and steer clear of this place, it’s not worth the headache and the rudeness you receive when an issue arises. More
Horrible experience. Went in on Wednesday and spent 3.5 hours making a deal with them. Initially, they offered me $2300 for trade on a truck they instantly came up to $6000 on when I questioned. After that hours making a deal with them. Initially, they offered me $2300 for trade on a truck they instantly came up to $6000 on when I questioned. After that they took another $1500 off the truck i was looking at and we agreed on the deal. Fast forward to today, and when I was speaking with the finance lady I realized the amount financed didn't match up with what they had told me. They were off by $1000. I went down to iron it out and they called me a liar, even though the salesman Pedro remembered exactly what we spoke about but was afraid to speak up and lose his job. At that point they preferred to refund my $3k deposit rather than honor the deal they originally agreed to. Typical bait and switch, what a waste of my time. More
I bought an Escalade from them and had a great experience with my sales rep. Robert Keenan until I met Chen from finance. Chen has a long way to go to be professional and honest. All he cares about is his co with my sales rep. Robert Keenan until I met Chen from finance. Chen has a long way to go to be professional and honest. All he cares about is his commission and how he can sell more products and make more money. He hide numbers and make the image looks perfect. He's not organized and he don't show the customer all what he needs to see and he don't make any effort to describe in details all the numbers. I'm surprised after I had an amazing experience at another McGovern location (Newton, MA) when I bought my range rover 6 months ago, that at this location they have unprofessional finance employee and the treat customers that way and try to screw them with hidden charges and unclear amounts just to make more commission/profit to the company from banks. My advice to any future potential customer, AVOID Chen in finance. He screwed me and charged me $4400 without telling me just to make more profit. More
Purchased a 2018 F150 back in in April and got a good deal as well as fair value for my trade. Mike Smokler was very knowledgeable and helpful. I can’t say the same for service department though as they deal as well as fair value for my trade. Mike Smokler was very knowledgeable and helpful. I can’t say the same for service department though as they put two quarts oil too many in the truck when changing the oil causing it to run rough for a month. I know this was them because their sticker was on the windshield stating the next oil change due 5,000 miles from my purchase mileage. I would have given five stars if not for this More
Buyer Beware!!! On 1/14/2020, I bought a 2015 Ford Edge SEL from McGovern Ford at 1212 Westford St, Lowell, MA. Unfortunately, the car has not performed well bec On 1/14/2020, I bought a 2015 Ford Edge SEL from McGovern Ford at 1212 Westford St, Lowell, MA. Unfortunately, the car has not performed well because the steering rack collapsed less than 4000 miles after I bought it from them less than six months ago (the car's mileage is currently less than 50,000 miles) and to be hit with a $2543.53 bill to fix a steering column is very unreasonable. I have also seen that my make, model and year of car has a consumer report where the power steering is a fault and recalls have been made. Apparently, my VIN number is not eligible for the recall (although the fault of the car fits the description of the recall perfectly). I also question just how well my car was "thoroughly inspected" before offered for sale. For instance, it was filthy when I drove it home. I had to completely wipe down and vacuum the interior. I can only infer that someone traded it in and they just flipped it without even cleaning it or inspecting it properly. I didn't write a bad review at the time as I figured it was just a bad day at the office for McGovern Ford, and ironically for them, I've never brought a complaint to a company before this debacle. The service manager, Rosie Cray, made it very clear that the bottom line is all McGovern Ford is interested in. The fact that they sell me a car for $20,000 that requires me to pay over $2500 in repairs less than 4000 miles later is clear evidence. At the very least they could have offered to waive the penny-pinching diagnostic fee of $149.95 (which my dashboard had already diagnosed), or given me some kind of loyal customer discount to at least try to repair customer satisfaction. Instead, they maximized their profits and offered nothing except a written apology and a signature saying I turned down a scam warranty at purchase - we all know that those warranty's cover everything except what actually goes wrong. I can only infer that the service manager is out of her depth in her leadership position because of her frankly pathetic and arrogant customer service capabilities. I gave her two opportunities to remedy the situation and she failed to offer any kind of compensation even though I told her I would be seeking legal advice, filing a report with the State Consumer Protection Agency, Federal Trade Commission, State's Attorney General, and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Autoline in addition to speaking with my journalist colleagues, and posting on social media warning the public against buying faulty vehicles from McGovern Ford. I have never been one to go after a company, but I feel it is a civic duty to warn others to stay away and take their business elsewhere. More
