We brought our recently purchased van from McGovern GMC for service because of a check engine light. The service team did a diagnostic test and worked on a solution while we waited. They also offered us al for service because of a check engine light. The service team did a diagnostic test and worked on a solution while we waited. They also offered us alternative transportation if they needed to keep our car for further tests - which ultimately wasn’t needed. The service manager came out to speak with us a few times to give us updates. We were treated with respect and concern as they kept us informed. We felt confident that they were determined to “get it right” and get us on our way as soon as possible. Thanks McGovern for the great service. More

I brought my car in twice for the transmission. I had to wait for the specialist. The paperwork said the car would be in there several days to fix. They have to now order parts. Took my car in for my 1st maintenance service. Angela was my service advisor that helped me and she was fantastic & very friendly and accommodating. Angela was awesome to work with Texas to keep me informed of progress and called when it was necessary. re: Mcgovern GMC Service experience I had my car fail right on Rte 9 and coasted into your dealership - Serpentine belt snapped.. Asked for the service department to repair. . Evan called and verbally right on Rte 9 and coasted into your dealership - Serpentine belt snapped.. Asked for the service department to repair. . Evan called and verbally estimated me $378 for the repair, I agreed and said that seemed VERY high price. he said he would look at it and when he had the parts price confirmed he would send a qte. The qte was for $332. I thought that was VERY high, googled the price of the part-$15 at Autozone....as high as $28 at other parts stores. I called the service manager back and asked why so high? he said parts were expensive $162 and they were probably sourced from the Nissan dealer(he lied)---I found Nissan sells the part at $54 MSRP. They also added a $27.50 disposal charge for the belt! I told him I was looking at a new Terrain and would not consider Mcgovern for the purchase of any vehicle in the future and that I would pay the bill and thanked him for taking advantage of me! When I got there I the bill had been changed to $247; no call or explanation price still more than double the average total repair price of @$100 for this type of repair....a simple belt replacement. More
