Ahmed was fantastic. he was honest and listened to what I wanted. he and mr Kelly worked very hard to give us the price we wanted and they did. they weren't pushy when I didn't like a particular car and were wanted. he and mr Kelly worked very hard to give us the price we wanted and they did. they weren't pushy when I didn't like a particular car and were very nice to work with. this is the second car my family has purchased at McGee and I'd recommend them to anyone. I question the culture of the work environment and am concerned for the community you serve. Words cannot fully express my experience, as the demeanor, body language, and tone of your salesmen cannot be captured in my text. I left your dealership feeling violated and disrespected. A follow up call by your salesman Shawn confirms my some of my thoughts. I have pasted a review of my experience below. I spoke to Mike Gugino on the phone this evening. He stated that you accept feedback from your customers. Thank you for your time. ___________________________________________________ This is a report of part of my car shopping experience. I hope you find it helpful as you begin your search. I visited McGee Toyota of Hanover with my girlfriend and one year old daughter on Friday, July 20th, 2012 and Saturday, July 21st, 2012. During our second visit, I asked for McGee’s best price on a RAV4. I had made it clear, several times, that I would not be purchasing a vehicle that day. I simply asked for the best price from Shawn, a salesman. Shawn brought out Tommy, a second salesman who provided several reasons why I should not shop around or leave without buying a car. Tommy suggested that I owed Shawn a sale because he had spent time with me. Tommy and Shawn’s body language and tone became angry as I continued to tell them I would not be buying a car. Once again, I made it clear that I just wanted their best price quote on a vehicle. Tommy angrily circled a number on a piece of paper and raised his voice stating, “This is the best price!” I said thank you and left the area. When I arrived at the waiting area, I informed my girlfriend that I had finished my conversation with the sales staff and was ready to leave. As I was putting my daughter in our stroller, I noticed Shawn had followed me and continued to engage me in conversation. He stated, “What’s the problem, you look visibly upset.” Shawn continued to try to sell me a car. I left the building with my family and we arrived at our car. As we packed up, the General Manager, Brad, arrived. Brad questioned me about my experience. He suggested that Shawn and I were not a good match. He also suggested that their sales tactics may have been too aggressive. Brad then began to talk about financing specials and continued to try to sell me a car. I informed Brad that I would not consider purchasing a vehicle after my experience inside. My family and I left the dealership. Brad shared with me that Shawn had been at the dealership for two months. Tommy has been an employee for one week. Brad also informed me he was a new employee. On 7/23, I purchased a RAV 4 from Toyota of Braintree. My experience at Toyota of Braintree was very good. You may refer to a post about this company once my vehicle has been delivered and the process is complete. On 7/24/12, I received a voicemail from Shawn, of McGee Toyota, asking me if I had made a decision on a vehicle. More
Although my husband and I were just looking after doing some research, we were very comfortable with Ahmed. He was very knowledgeable in regards to the used cars that we were interested in. We did not want some research, we were very comfortable with Ahmed. He was very knowledgeable in regards to the used cars that we were interested in. We did not want to go back and forth and haggle- we wanted a bottom line price that was reasonable for the crossover we were looking into. He was sociable, friendly and down to earth when we dealt with him. We ended up buying the car and he was helpful throughout the process. More
A $400 Documentation FEE! What dealership can justify that? This dealer is unscrupulous with these fees. Went through a negotiation with them and they refused to negotiate on the documentation fee. We that? This dealer is unscrupulous with these fees. Went through a negotiation with them and they refused to negotiate on the documentation fee. We even pointed out that their fees were well above their peer dealerships in the area. They would not lower the fee or the vehicle price. The next day I emailed their internet sales team and they replied ;Our doc fee is higher than some dealers and we make it up on price.; Not in my experience! They also tried to bring out a dealer swap vehicle, the old dealer's decal had only been partially scrapped off, you could read the old dealerships name in the glue that had been lazily left behind! The car had over 50 miles on it and the carpets were filthy, but the sales person was still trying to pass it off as new! Seriously?! My advice is to avoid this dealership at all COSTS! If you dare to deal with them, there are two suggestions: 1.)Address their inflated fees prior to agreeing on a deal 2.)Make sure you carefully inspect the vehicle (More than one had damage or excessive mileage) Buyer Beware! My experience could have been very good - until we got down to the final details concerning a second key for my car. The salesperson was very good at providing just enough information for me to reach seve down to the final details concerning a second key for my car. The salesperson was very good at providing just enough information for me to reach several wrong conclusions until after I signed the paperwork. In the end I had to purchase a second key for my car, which went from $300 - to 350. He justified the increase by saying, "I told you about $300" I have to take responsibility for not being on guard. I should have dug more. I would have really appreciated a straight forward statement - Mr X - if you want a second key it will cost you $361 dollars more and any touch up paint you need will cost you $6. I would have liked this information before I signed the papers. I would have still bought the car - but my takeaway from this incident is "cheap, not totally honest and what else didn't they tell me" I mentioned in my first review that McGee split the cost of the final hurdle. That was wrong. I never received the money that was promised me by Brian Kelly. So I have to say that you MUST get every little thing in writing up front and DON'T sign any papers until you have all the details locked up. Disappointing, but I learned my lesson. And DO NOT expect to get any gas when you pick it up. More
After being very dissapointed with this dealership from the last car we purchased here; I was very reluctant to go back here again. When I was researching cars online; they did have the best prices in the the last car we purchased here; I was very reluctant to go back here again. When I was researching cars online; they did have the best prices in the south shore (for the make and model I was looking for). I called and spoke with Ahmed and made an appointment to come and look at the car. I was pleasantly suprised by Ahmed proffessionalism and demeanor. He did not pressure us at all, and was very knowledgable about the car I was test driving. This was the easiest transaction I have ever had with a dealer. Mcgee Toyota has won back my business. More
