I went into Mcgee toyota of Hanover with pre approved financing to purchase a 2018 Chevy Silverado i saw online. After driving the truck I decided to buy it. I explained to the salesman Ahmed, that I I financing to purchase a 2018 Chevy Silverado i saw online. After driving the truck I decided to buy it. I explained to the salesman Ahmed, that I I went into Mcgee toyota of Hanover with pre approved financing to purchase a 2018 Chevy Silverado i saw online. After driving the truck I decided to buy it. I explained to the salesman Ahmed, that I have financing but, was told that Mcgee doenst accept outside financing and would have to redo a credit app again to use in house financing. So, whatever, i agreed because i liked the truck. They came back with a higher rate than I had. I was told i could always refinance later. I also asked if the truck came with a warranty? Ahmed replied, " It has a 90 day warranty". Within a week of purchasing, I noticed a vibration and unusual noise like something was loose, coming from the front driver's side tire area and some dashboard backlighting was flickering on the climate controls. I called the dealership and scheduled an appointment. I let the shop know that i had recently purchased the vehicle. They set me up with a loaner vehicle while the mechanic looked over my truck. After 3 days, I was contacted by Dottie that the mechanic couldn't find anything wrong with the suspension and that it was all checked and tested. However, i was told that the isuue causing the noise and vibration was that the tire pressure was 5 psi over inflated. They also provided me a quote of $560.75 dollars for the flickering climate controls lights that would not be covered because it was not a safety issue! The inspection also cautioned that the tires read 6/32 tread and would need replacing soon! Being an aircraft and previously an automobile mechanic, I know that 5 psi over inflated tires do not cause vibration and noise, nor does a climate control light cost $560.75 dollars. I decided to check the front end for defects, the front shock absorbers faulty(will not compress). Once I replaced them all the noise an vibration issues are gone. I also found a genuine GM climate control module assembly for $100.00. I called the dealership speaking with the service department and sales representative to inquire about being reimbursed for the cost of the front shock absorbers. Each time I was denied and redirected to speak with a sales manager. I left several voice-mails and emails weeks ago. I'm still waiting for a response..... I'm now in the process of refinancing after the dealership in house inflated financing. The refinance rate is 4% lower. It's unfortunate to purchase a vehicle from a dealership that forces inflated in house financing selling used trucks with a 90 day warranty that they refuse to honor and have such poor customer service after the deal is done.
