I'm just going to say this is by far the worst dealership I've ever had to deal with. Please do not give these people your business. Buyer beware. Liars, cheaters and thieves. Who have no moral compass. I've ever had to deal with. Please do not give these people your business. Buyer beware. Liars, cheaters and thieves. Who have no moral compass. It wasn't until we wrote a review before anyone would even call me back 9 days later. And I'm still not able to talk to the salesperson who sold me the car. But he will text me and let me know that I'm angry for no reason even though he didn't have the common decency to just pick up a phone to see what I was mad about. More
Went in Saturday trying to work a deal on a vehicle. Numbers were never remotely close to closing a deal based on them selling a car for "Above Market" value(not all dealerships are doing this in the ma Numbers were never remotely close to closing a deal based on them selling a car for "Above Market" value(not all dealerships are doing this in the market, only the ones that choose to). That's not the reason for the 1 star. The 1 star is because they illegally ran our credit without us knowing. We found out the next day that the credit was run. The sales person asked for a social security number, but on the bottom of the form which was never signed it states do you consent to having your credit run(we have a copy of the form). The sales person never stated why he asked for the social or told us the credit was going to be pulled or that it was pulled and they knew what our credit was(he kept speaking in terms of if/when we know what your credit is when we run it then we will have a better idea of solid numbers and just gave us ranges of if we could). Next reason for the 1. When contacting the dealership and speaking with the General Sales Manager he initially didn't apologize or take responsibility for their actions and instead asked "well did you like the car?" Not once understanding what the dealership did is illegal. Then when I was finally pissed off enough said he would work with us to make it right and would do what he could to make us happy. Next reason. What do you think is a reasonable timeframe for this person to respond back to resolve the matter and make us happy? I called 9am. Tried again at noon. Again at 4PM. Then called at 5PM and said we expect a call by end of day when they closed at 8PM.....No call. So, ya I guess McGee wasn't trying too hard to correct their illegal action of running credit without permission. It doesn't take an entire day to run numbers and return a call to make things right. They ran credit illegally pretty quick to make sure they could put a deal together. It's now 24 hrs and still no call..... The credit hit puts a car buyer in a tough spot to now try and go to another dealership and actually buy a car since the credit score dropped and you now have a lower score and that's what the financing terms are based off of, so now we would have a higher rate and pay more long term than we would have initially. So now McGee made it virtually impossible for us to have our credit run when we actually do come to terms with a dealership and buy a car once terms are agreed to and we want to move forward. That's why what they did is illegal under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I'll wait for the auto response of "We are sorry to hear about your experience. Please contact our dealership so we can correct it, resolve the issue, make things right, and blah blah blah".....Oh wait I already did that before making this post. More
Long story short my brother was mentally ill and leased a truck for 800+ a month. We informed management there he had been commited to a psych facility the day after he signed the lease. They still would no truck for 800+ a month. We informed management there he had been commited to a psych facility the day after he signed the lease. They still would not let him out of the lease. We tried multiple times explainong to them the situation and even the owner is fighting us on it. Doctors and social workers are now involved and are confident they can get him out of the lease. So hopefully it all works out. But shameful behavior by upper management. More
Went in to get my replacement radio Vin coded to my 2015 sonic. I was told the appointment that I made wasn't in the system. No problem, they set it up. Then they said it would be a $149 diagnostic fee. I a sonic. I was told the appointment that I made wasn't in the system. No problem, they set it up. Then they said it would be a $149 diagnostic fee. I asked if they're unlocking a radio why do they need diagnostics. He thought about it and skipped that. No problem. Then after waiting for just over an hour I'm told it didn't work and that sometimes it doesn't. Never mentioned that it might not work before. I would've bought an aftermarket radio if I knew it was a gamble. So now I still have no radio and am out $180. Unethical and disorganized is only way I can describe McGee Chevy with my experience. So if you want to be partially informed and get charged full price for failure, go to McGee Chevy. Thanks for nothing. More
