We had been searching for the right vehicle to replace my "Mothership," of a van and came across a truck that was just the right size. I contacted the dealership amd spoke with Lauren(?) Who was more than haply to advise to come on in for a test drive, meet our sales team any time!! Greeted with a great hand shake and a smile, Robbie was eager to help. After a test drive and some number crunching we were able to get me in the truck that night. ***safe travels Robbie!!! Brian in finance was eager to help get me through to SCU after 6pm!! ("Approved before adding the warranty." Was the only downfall yet kept my payment manageable before the holidays.) When my daughter heard we could take it home that night she was more excited than I was. Transferring our items from.ome vehicle to less time than anticipated due to our excitement. Her name is Myles. She came with a 6m/6k power train, a 1 year service agreement and a full tank of gas. Driving her home we did have an issue with shifting but after a trip to the service dept and a loaner for a few days, we were back on the road. Thank you McFarland Ford. It was quick and easy to get the Bronco Sport. The paperwork did not take long. When I went to pick it up. It was not ready as promised. Spent almost 2 hours out of my busy schedule. I brought the vehicle in for a transmission service. I mentioned the OD light would flash as soon as I got on the highway. Although I was told the transmission is fine, within minutes of leaving the lig I mentioned the OD light would flash as soon as I got on the highway. Although I was told the transmission is fine, within minutes of leaving the light was back on indicating no change from when I brought it in. At $400 for the service I feel more of an attempt to diagnose the problem should have been made. I called and relayed my disappointment and was informed that a minimum of $250 dollars more would be required to diagnose and that any fix would likely require opening the transmission which would of course cost for the fluid to be replaced. I don't feel i got the best service and because this is an older vehicle (2003 Ford Explorer) I cannot see throwing away my money playing with fixing it. I feel I have no alternative but to drive the vehicle as is until it dies and that is just a shame. I do most of my own auto repair work but honestly I have found Ford products to be difficult to work on. This may well preclude my buying any more of them in the future. More
