I took a car (2007 BMW 335xi) out for a test drive and noticed a vibration coming from the rear end (I suspect a bent rim) and the car was also very hard to start. When I brought these issues up Tom responded, "thats it, we are done. We are not putting any more money into that car. We are already losing money." I never even had an opportunity to say whether or not I was willing to do anything and he went over to speak to Mark Ducharme. Mark wished me a Merry Christmas in a very sarcastically tone. I told them that they did not have to treat me like an a**hole and Mark responded, again sarcastically, "I was only wishing you a Merry Christmas". I told him that it sounded very sarcastic. I walked out to my car and Mark came running out after me and said, "and have a Happy New Year too." I did nothing other than not buy a car that had problems with it. This was not an inexpensive car, although it was at a very good price. Whether they lose money on a car or not is not my issue. They are professional and should know the value of a car when they take it in for trade and price it for sale. When you buy a used car from a new car dealer, regardless of the price, they are usually more than willing to repair anything that the customer notices. When this car sat for a couple of hours, it would turn over for 10 to 15 seconds before it would start. These cars are very expensive to work on and if they expect me to buy a car for $20,000 and then drive it to a BMW dealer and pay to have it repaired, then they have the wrong expectations. This experience has turned me off from ever going into their dealership for anything, including service on the Ford that I do own. More
There is NO service anywhere compared to this dealership. They FOUGHT with ARI to get me new tires and may have saved my life; tires were bald and ARI refused to replace them twice but Dave refused to give u They FOUGHT with ARI to get me new tires and may have saved my life; tires were bald and ARI refused to replace them twice but Dave refused to give up. Jason also had to support a tire change via ARI who resist the dealers requests. I have seen Service staff with other customers and they really care; ie sitting with the older customers in the waiting area to "Counsel" them on their car's problem. They know us by name. The sales guys are not pushy at all and respect boundaries. I would buy from them today if I needed a car. My car is always been a lease, for now, multiple vehicles since 2000. They are the best. They know my father and the mileage on his truck and appreciate the customers-Thank you Frank the Service Manager Nice Work. I wish i needed a Ford Fiesta because I would buy it just based on the Service Department. Thank you Jason for asking me about my new Escape. They are well aware of the challenges all of us face with the economy, and they look for ways to keep my current Ford vehicle, a 1987 F-150, serviced and do it with an eye on the overall expense. The care I receive is personalized. Working with service adviser, Jason Lee, for the past few years, I always feel welcome when I come through the door and treated fairly when I leave. Whether buying a new car or returning for service, McFarland Ford always exceeds my expectations. For example, the sales staff always demonstrates a willingness to provide a competitive price on the McFarland Ford always exceeds my expectations. I don't think it's well known, but they will definitely beat the price of some of the dealers who claim to sell for less and with no frills. Just give McFarland the opportunity. The service staff is also very professional and completes all the required work on schedule and at a fair price. I've never felt that the service department is attempting to take advantage of their customers or is pushing their customers to have work completed that's not necessary. They're always helpful and honest - and as long as that continues - I plan on bringing my business to McFarland Ford. More
I don’t like the hassles of a long drawn out sales transaction. When I know what I like and what I can pay I don’t want to be pressured or talked into the vehicle. We were able to come to a deal quickly and within my budget and for the vehicle I wanted. Some work needed to be done to the breaks which the service department did with no issues. More
