This is a very well-run dealership, with friendly personnel that are attentive to the needs of their customers. They have accommodated me on more than one occasion when I needed service work, and the personnel that are attentive to the needs of their customers. They have the best prices for new cars, and are fair in their offer for trades. Their service department is really busy for a reason! More

Prune juice and veggies? or Meat and Potatoes? Let’s start with our credentials on purchasing cars – we have purchased 19 brand new vehicles around the world (BMW, Smart, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Va Let’s start with our credentials on purchasing cars – we have purchased 19 brand new vehicles around the world (BMW, Smart, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Vaxhual, Volkswagen, Dodge, Hyundai, Chevy, etc.- in Asia, Europe, North America, Hawaii, and England) and, Gary Eavey, hands down, is the best salesperson we have ever worked with. The Gary buying experience - We were in the market to upgrade our RAV4. Dealing with car salesmen is right up there with drinking prune juice while eating veggies; a rather nasty proposition from all angles. With this vehicle I was working with numerous salespeople from several dealerships and I needed to decide on who we were going to purchase from. Here is where Gary comes in (well texts in) – deep breath – “Here we go”, I mumbled aloud, as I opened the text, all the while thinking “Maybe, if I hold my breath while inhaling the prune juice and veggies, it won’t be so bad this time?” Surprisingly, it wasn’t prune juice and veggies which Gary brought to the table– it was more meat and potatoes. Gary inquired as to what we wanted on our Toyota RAV4 – color, trim pkgs., stereo, hybrid etc. Come to find out, what we wanted didn’t exist yet. And to make matters worse, regardless of what we wanted – the 2020 hybrid RAV4 is an EXTREMELY popular vehicle that is sold basically before it hits the lot of any and all dealerships, nationwide. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the RAV4 goes for greater than MSRP. Oh joy, and I thought knocking back prune juice and veggies was bad – I was just served a side of poi to go with it all! Gary wasn’t fazed by this news and he worked more as a broker than a car salesman for us – the management of McDonough gives their salesmen leeway in working with their clients, which means that as far as Gary was concerned the car existed, was available, and he went to work negotiating an excellent price and assigning us a great value for our trade-in. Notice how I never said we went into the dealership? Yes, we worked all this out via text, allowing us ample opportunity to think through and research the entire process. No pushy salespeople etc. Gary not only found us a RAV4 (on a boat coming from Japan), but he took the liberty to find one with everything we wanted, to include color! INCREDIBLE! He also simply marked the vehicle sold which alleviated the possibility of someone else snatching it from beneath us. This gave us the time needed - to mull the RAV over. NO pressure sales in the slightest. And if that weren’t enough, we got the RAV4 for thousands less than MSRP. An online data point showed that we purchased our RAV4 in the “You only wish you could get it for that price” category, which was an unrealistic goal of mine, once I found out the vehicle was in high demand. When the vehicle arrived from the port of entry, we then went into McDonough. Gary wanted our business. He was professional, honest, up front, personable, and caring (and he didn’t dress like the stereotypical car salesman either – a pet peeve of mine). Gary went the extra mile in so many ways. Even during pre-financing - he had his computer up and running as we went through security questions to finance our small loan - “What is your zodiac sign?” (really) was one question and he was helping us scramble for the answer! In the meantime, between questions and while we were telephonically placed on hold, we all sat in the vehicle going over EVERY feature – Gary KNOWS his vehicles (how he learned all of it without a vehicle is still a mystery). He connected our phones, went over the tech pkg. and the new safety features. When the tour was over, and our credit was verified as excellent, we zipped into financing to fly through the paperwork. A seemingly seamless operation. Now that I have had time to settle into our new RAV I can write this review without the buyer’s high or buyer’s remorse. I can write it as a consumer. If you are tired of the prune juice and veggies and want to get to the meat and potatoes of things – check out McDonough Toyota and see Gary Eavey. He makes buying a car simple, easy, and actually enjoyable. Thank you, Gary and McDonough on a job well done! More

He could have sold me a much more expensive car than I needed but he took the time to help me decide what would be my best value for what I need. He is not pushy, he patient , he is kind and most importantly he is nice! In the end my husband bought a car as well. Two in one day! Go see Richard! I left that dealership feeling better to have met him. More
The best buying experience I have ever had I have wanted another truck for 10 years and had my eye on a Tacoma. I was not looking but fate forced me to look for a new car after my old Nissan was totaled in a hit and Run. My wife and I stopped in at Mcdonough and it was the best decision we made in our car buying decision. We had plenty of uninterrupted time to browse without a salesperson chasing us around when we were ready My wife went in grabbed the first free salesperson and the rest was history. The team here is wonderful I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff. This was my first brand new vehicle purchase ever and the experience was beyond perfect if there is such a thing. All of the staff is friendly and helpful and they clicked so well with our personalities Dave Woods was our salesperson and in 5 minutes my wife and I felt like we had known him for 20 years. Again I can not say enough about how wonderful our experience with Mcdonough and Toyota has been. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you want to hear more details or have me write a multi-page review of all the things that made our experience so WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! More

My husband spotted a 2019 Camry SE the day prior and sent me a photo to see if I might be interested. I liked what I saw in the photo and the next day, my husband and I returned to the dealership to inspect the vehicle and take it for a test drive. Not only was the car beautiful, but it had great features and was fairly priced. Within seconds of arriving at the dealership, Gary, one of the salesmen on duty, came out to greet us. He was friendly and welcoming without being pushy. He answered all of our questions and recommended that we take a test drive. We loved everything about the car, but wanted to make sure we could obtain the financing and monthly payment we desired. Gary made us feel comfortable and informed as he walked us through the process and showed us our options. Unlike previous car buying experiences, purchasing a vehicle at McDonough Toyota was stress-free and efficient. Gary and his finance associate took care of everything, maintaining transparency the throughout the process. I definitely recommend visiting McDonough Toyota when you are in the market for a new vehicle. I know that my husband and I will return when it's time to purchase our next vehicle. Thank you, Gary and team! More
Poor service dept. I bought a Tundra new from this dealer and the buying experience was great, dealing with the service department is another matter. The first issue I I bought a Tundra new from this dealer and the buying experience was great, dealing with the service department is another matter. The first issue I had was when I took the truck in for an oil change. This was after the free two year service ended. I had Brought a coupon in for free tire rotation with an oil change. First I was charged for both then was told a second price and then billed a third price simply because nobody paid attention to me or the coupon. For my next service I only needed the tires rotated. I had to wait two weeks for an appointment and even with an appointment it took two hours for the rotation, however within ten minutes of being there they wanted to show me my dirty cabin air filter and recommend a change. I guess if you don’t buy the filter your made to wait. Last Friday I came in for an inspection. They failed the vehicle for an auxiliary light I had installed because there wasn’t a cover on it. Oddly, this light was on last year and it passed without mention. So I bought a cover, installed it and returned for another inspection. All they had to do was see the cover and issue a new sticker. That took an hour and a half. When I got back into my vehicle it stank of gasoline. I went back inside to tell them and was told they were replacing a fuel tank on another vehicle in the shop. Oh sorry about that was all they said. I had to roll down all the windows and air it out just to keep from gagging. All this in about a tear’s time. Worst service I have ever seen More

I spoke with th I wasn't exactly looking for a vehicle at the time but happened to drive by their used lot and saw a dodge challenger I really liked. I spoke with the salesman and he said it wasn't sold and gave me his lowest price. I told him I banked somewhere and that I would go there get a loan and return. Apparently they work with a different bank send strongly urged me not to use my bank that I have been with for years. I went to the bank and got a loan despite that and called them to let them know I wanted to purchase it and had the check. I told them I had to work in the morning but I would be there by 12. They called me at 10 that morning and said they had sold it the day before. They have done the same thing to my cousin and the same thing to my wife's cousin. The salesman called me back the next day and said he was really sorry and said he would look for another car the same miles and price. I let it go and said sure, but to be truthful after my experience if that's the way they conduct business I wouldn't buy a car from them unless they were the last dealership on earth! More
