We have purchased 2 vehicles from Jimmy Thompson (3 total from McDonough) and have been completely satisfied each time. Our first purchase from Jimmy was a few years ago when we bought our Camry. I had called another local Toyota dealership (about 40 minutes from home) and told the rep what I wanted (color, manual transmission, etc.) and she tried to push an automatic Camry and in the color I told her we did not want. She never offered to get us what we wanted and not only emailed but called several times thereafter, continuing to push the vehicle we had already told her we did not want. On the first call to McDonough (about an hour to an hour and 10 minutes from home), Jimmy told me he could get me whatever we wanted. Without trying to push anything else, he immediately began the search and gave us our options. We went within a week and test drove the automatic that was on the lot and then special ordered our blue, manual transmission Camry. He was great to keep us informed via email, etc. and made the paperwork very simple. In the interim, he had followed up several times to see if we were still satisfied with our Camry and to let us know that he is available if we need anything else. Now, almost 4 years later... I emailed Jimmy to let him know we were interested in a Tacoma. Again, we communicated via email, went and test drove one on the lot, ordered what we wanted and had it within a few weeks. We had a scheduled appointment at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning and within an hour and a half, we were driving away as a proud new owner of a Tacoma. Lyle Lotts handled the credit paperwork and made it very simple (of course, the online credit app process was quite helpful as well!) We are very satisfied with the service we have received from McDonough and the staff - it's definitely the easiest place to buy. :) More
