I gave David McDavid a 24hr notice that I would like to come see a car they had on their lot. I was very disappointed when I arrived to find the interior was filthy. I would have liked them to have taken t come see a car they had on their lot. I was very disappointed when I arrived to find the interior was filthy. I would have liked them to have taken the time and clean it up before I drove 45min to come see it. It does however tell me how well the car was taken care of by the previous owner…needless to say I passed on it and David McDavid. I expect more from a big dealership like that. They also had a lot of bad things to say about some of the mid size dealers I also saw that day, which in my opinion is unprofessional. I ended up buying a car from one of those mid size dealers because they were no pressure, took the time to understand my needs, and had the car ready to view when I arrived. More
Run around about trades. No $$ numbers given. Instead, multiple emails back and forth explaining why they go by the dealer guides (NADA, Edmonds, etc.) for pricing. Typical, No $$ numbers given. Instead, multiple emails back and forth explaining why they go by the dealer guides (NADA, Edmonds, etc.) for pricing. Typical, couldn't get a straight answer. Polite, mannered...but still full of the same ol' xx. And therefore I could not work towards purchasing a car with them that I was interested in.. More
Terrible Experience with Service Dept. over-all with their workmanship and even worse with Brian Fabian the service director. Purchased through another dealership, it was taken by original over-all with their workmanship and even worse with Brian Fabian the service director. Purchased through another dealership, it was taken by original dealership to David McDavid for service since they are a "Ford Speciality" store. A few days after the truck was dropped off, I realized I had left my garage remotes and requested to pick them up. When I arrived Brian took me back to retrieve them and then walked me over to a tech who told me "my truck drove great and he didn't think anything was wrong with it.", invalidating my concerns completely. Well, turns out I needed the motor mounts replaced, the transmission rebuilt, fuel injector replacements, truck to be dismantled and rebuild of suspension and or gear box replacement. Was hard to get anything but a one-word explanation. He used their texting service to text me, assuming I was dealership, I explained I was not. Brian should have worked with them directly, instead he pressed me constantly to approve a $3,000 repair for suspension, that is covered by the additional warranties I purchased. He spoke poorly of me when he did make contact, when I provided him the contact of dealership stating that when I dropped of the truck, "She left us a laundry list of problems she demanded fixed, and demanded that initial deanship would be paying for it!!!" I did not drop off the truck, a MALE salesperson did, I left a list of 5 items I had concerns on, which all turned out to be valid needing repair. 2 items were ignored completely, he stated he never got authorization, but had no issue demanding authorization from me near daily for the $3,000 repair after I advised I would not be approving, and to contact dealer. He made empty promises of pick up dates for the vehicle, and when asked I was mansplained that I do not understand the way auto service works, stages etc. Roughly 65 days later when the vehicle was finally complete, he was once again demanding payment (for warranty covered work) at 7am, from myself, when he was aware I was not covering this and dealership had already provided authorization a week+ prior. When I went to pick up the truck, he knew I was on the way and could not be bothered to stop shoving his lunch in his face when I was standing 2 feet in front of him to further let me know how little he respected my presence. Truck was brought around, completely filthy, inside was the same mud first dust throughout. I then saw a part from my "laundry list" sitting in cup holder, and went inside to ask about it being trashed and part incomplete. He stated no approval was given for part....but had no issue harassing me for other items approval. Assumingly overlooked. In regards to trucks state, he said "It won't fit in the car wash", guess that applies to interior as well?? I left the lot, and wouldn't you know it. AC now does not work, on the hottest day of the year so far leaving me in heavy traffic suffocating in a truck with no AC at 95 degrees. They did not put the belt back on, and had to be taken back for further repair. Eventually it was fixed, and I was able to take my truck through the regular old neighborhood car wash (amazing it fit??) and saw all the beautiful new dings on my truck they used the dirt and dust to hide. I could never in good faith refer someone to this dealership, incredibly unprofessional, uncaring, and the quality of work clearly can't even make up for complete lack of customer service when you leave with new mechanical issues. Immediately began hearing issues with my vehicle after purchasing so I took it to another dealership a few days later. They identified several issues that they said should have been caught during McDavid' purchasing so I took it to another dealership a few days later. They identified several issues that they said should have been caught during McDavid's inspection. After reaching out to the sales manager at McDavid, he texted back accusingly, "What did you hit, sir?", questioning my integrity. I had only driven the vehicle home from the dealership on the highway and hit nothing. After demanding an apology, the sales manager called me and apologized. He said his director told him to say it. I set up time to meet with the director, TJ, in-person to ask for an apology for questioning my integrity. He indicated that he was unaware any of this had happened and seemed to offer a sincere apology. He also offered to fix the $1300 of repairs still needed (I had already paid the other dealership $2000 to fix the other issues, including a bent axle). He gave me his phone number. He called me once to get information about the repairs, which I provided. But I haven't heard back from him and he will not respond to my texts. It's been a month since our last contact and two months since I met with him. The entire process has been unpleasant. Update: The salesperson, Alex, finally got in touch with me and told me to come in at 8am on Friday and that they would get it taken care of. When I arrived, they had no idea I was coming and the advisor I was told to work with was not even working. I was told it would take 3-4 hours to fix. Since the dealership is over an hour away from my home, I decided to stay and wait. 7 hours later they told me they were finished but that the epoxy they added would need 8 hours to dry. So, I waited around all day for nothing. They gave me a loaner car and I had to go back the next day. More
So I bought a 2014 ford Taurus, to start with the price increased from internet price by 2k. It was supposed to be due to having a used car inspection with 100+ inspections. So I've had the car for 6 weeks increased from internet price by 2k. It was supposed to be due to having a used car inspection with 100+ inspections. So I've had the car for 6 weeks now. It started having trouble starting it just clicks like dead battery. I found the positive post to be corroded causing connection issues. I wend and bought a replacement positive terminal. It still had trouble starting so I had bettery tested. It tested 268cca out of 850cca. Battery has date code of 9/20 si it is still under 36 month warranty. Co tact3d James Franko my sales man to see if they would help me get it warranted because I don't have a reciept for it so I can't do it. Is said he would have to talk to his boss. Never got back to me so I asked how it was going several hours later and was told I'm on my own! 2k extra for a inspection that apparently was never performed. Do not recommend taking your business to mcdavid ford of fortworth. More
I had my car towed last Thursday for a possible Thermostat issue and as of Wednesday they had not even looked at it so I had to retrieve my car and take it to a mechanic who is handling it as we sp Thermostat issue and as of Wednesday they had not even looked at it so I had to retrieve my car and take it to a mechanic who is handling it as we speak. I used to get oil changes here as well but instead of waiting hours on those I take it to quicker oil change places. Apparently this is normal operating procedures More

Was about the worst experience I've had EVER at a dealership. Overall this is a pretty dishonest and deceitful dealership that IS going to try and screw you over! My experience: - vehicle is listed dealership. Overall this is a pretty dishonest and deceitful dealership that IS going to try and screw you over! My experience: - vehicle is listed on website for $xx,xxx price - dealership sits down to deal with what they are calling an MSRP price (for a used car...this is not a thing people) that is $5,000 more than ADVERTISED priced! - call them out on it...snaky salesman insists as if his life depends on it that this is a markup from the ADVERTISED price for get this...reconditioning fees (YGBFSM!) - they WILL offer you less than what your trade-in is worth and it will probably be $1000-$3000 less than other dealerships - we back and forth for another 30 minutes before an acceptable deal is presented that in the end is close, but still slightly more than if we just started with the ADVERTISED price and added in the normal fees expected to pay at a dealership! - What I'm trying to convey to my fellow consumer is that this deceitful dealership has zero integrity and WILL try and strong arm you into "additional fees" that they just make up on the negotiating table (e.g. reconditioning fees) and if you have no experience dealing with these bait and switch negotiations, or have reached a submissive state because they do their best to make you feel absurd when questioning the numbers you are going to be getting royally screwed over from these con artist! - the last several dealerships I've purchased a vehicle from in the DFW area were as simple as this--salesman brings paper with the actual advertised asking price + standard fees + trade-in amount = sale! No let's just see how much we can work out of this dummy while giving him/her the lowest amount for their trade - DO NOT RECOMMEND! More
