First the gas light was on after I purchased the car, when I asked them if they were going to fill it up (or put gas in it at all) I was told no. Now my temporary plates are expired, after calling and asking about them for the last two weeks I have gotten nothing but the runaround. I was told last week that plates would be over-nighted to me and I still have not received anything. Every time I call I am told I need to speak to somebody different. I guess I will just drive around with my expired plates now and hope for the best. Thanks McDavid Ford! More

Terrible buying experience at David McDavid Ford. Worst car buying experience ever. I purchased a used vehicle late on Saturday, 9/17/16 and had to wait for over two hours to complete a 15-minute tran Worst car buying experience ever. I purchased a used vehicle late on Saturday, 9/17/16 and had to wait for over two hours to complete a 15-minute transaction with Andre in finance due to paying with all cash. This was due to someone on McDavid's management staff making an ill-advised decision to pull the remaining two finance people while Andre worked with a couple that had a marathon session of going over contract details in his office. This was confirmed by other salesman in both the new & used cars departments. Meanwhile, my wife & I sat in the lobby completely ignored, save for our salesman Darren Allridge. Darren was so embarrassed by what was happening that he wound up buying us pizza as we waited in the customer lounge completely perplexed. After finally completing the 15-minute transaction at 11:08 PM (the dealership closed at 9 PM), the cleaning crew had locked my phone in the dealership's sales tower office (was charging due to waiting for so long), and couldn't be retrieved until Monday morning. Meanwhile, my wife was so furious by the dealership's management team in making a decision to send their finance people home because they wouldn't make a commission off of our sale (no financing, all cash) that she didn't want to take delivery of the car. She had a change of heart the next day in accepting delivery, only to find out that the detailers left a wet chamois cloth in the back seat, thus leaving a bad odor in the car. I sent an email to GM Steve Mansell on Monday morning, 9/19/16 about the entire experience and how we felt disrespected, yet this went completely ignored. Not a surprise, given the way that we were treated. I explained to Steve Mansell that his customers and employees deserve better, and I still standby this statement. Obviously, the management of this dealership seem to think otherwise. All that I expected from this management team is a degree of respect and accountability, and they couldn't do either. ***Update, 11/13/16.*** I didn't receive my tags in the mail from McDavid's until the first week of November. I had to practically plead with the receptionist in mailing them out as opposed to traveling back to the dealership. Will more than likely never be back, nor refer any family members or friends to this dealership. While my salesman was commendable with his sincere good service, the rest of the experience was surprisingly awful. The management (Steve Mansell) does not care for my business, so why should I? Will recommend my friends & colleagues to go to Clay Cooley or any DFW AutoNation instead. These dealers actually care far more about you than David McDavid's ever would. More

I saw the truck I wanted on the Internet at a great price that was "too good to be true" as I was told by dealers in my area. After talking with Lynn and making a deal over the phone without even seeing the truck in person, I drove from Houston to Fort Worth to buy the truck. Lynn was straight forward and honest about the vehicle and honered the deal we made over the phone. I really appreciated everything Lynn did to make this deal happen and his honesty/integrity. I've heard of other people having the old "bait and switch" pulled on them when dealing with long distant or Internet salesman before and this was definitely not the case. I now own a great truck, that was sold to me at a "too good to be true" price according to my local dealers by someone who is truly out to help the customer get the best deal possible without playing the salesman games. I have already referred Lynn and David McDavid Ford to my little brother and will refer them to my friends when they are in the market for a vehicle. Thank you Lynn for the easiest and most straight forward truck buying experience! More

Full Service I took my truck in for a oil change and tire rotation. My first complaint is I set up an appointment and told them I was going to wait on my vehicle a I took my truck in for a oil change and tire rotation. My first complaint is I set up an appointment and told them I was going to wait on my vehicle and it too 3 1/2 hours to get it done. After complaining to the service manager he said he was new and to give them a second chance. So for my second complaint I did give them a second chance again I took my truck in for a oil change and tire rotation w/ an appointment and again I told them I was going to wait on my vehicle. This time it only took 2 1/2 hours before I stated to complain so they drove my truck out to me with no lug nut on the tires and they fell off in the service drive. For my third complaint after all of that they still didn't fix the issue and my tire fell off again on the highway less than 200 miles later. For now my fourth complaint they have had my truck for 3 days now and no one there will give me an update on my truck nor will they call me back. xxx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More

I was told that my extended warranty was only 800 dollars. Which I thought was a great price. I get my first payment slip in the mail for 100 over what we agreed on. Come to find out they charged me $5000 for the warranty. Now again it's my fault for not going over paperwork properly. But still feel like they screwed me. I'll find another stealership to purchase my next tuck More

I am sorry you did not get the sale / commission for our son's truck. The tricks they played regarding inventory and rebates, and the lies were very unfair to us. Then to have the the general manager call our son an 'xxx' when they came to finalize the sale was deplorable. On Sept 1, my husband and son went to Bill Utter Ford and had a WONDERFUL truck buying experience! No games, no lies, no saying a truck was there, and then it wasn't. He bought a truck there that day for more than $2500 less that the price at McDavid. Bill Utter is a very fair and honest dealership. I know it is far away, but you might consider applying there. I think you are an honest person and would do well. We will definitely go back to Bill Utter for our next vehicle. We will never come back to McDavid Ford. I would give 0 stars if that was a possible selection. More

Appointments are a Joke and Work not completed as stated I stupidly purchased a maintenance contract on my 2015 F250 Platinum 6.7 diesel that is totally worthless. I attempted to take it in for scheduled ser I stupidly purchased a maintenance contract on my 2015 F250 Platinum 6.7 diesel that is totally worthless. I attempted to take it in for scheduled service but was told the first available appointment was a week and a half out, so I scheduled a 7am on the first available on 8/3. I dropped the truck off letting the service advisor know I needed to pick it up by 1130 as that is when I can have someone take me to the dealership. I called at 1120 and was told they didn't know I needed it and would get it in right then. My wife was there at 1145 to pick it but of course it wasn't ready. When they did bring it out, the tires had not been rotated, the fluids not topped off, extensive corrosion on one of the positive battery terminals, unwashed, and upon further inspection at home by me, the oil had apparently not changed. It was as black as oil can get in 8K miles in a diesel. I contacted the dealership via email to have them contact me so we could correct this situation. I was called by a sales person who I told I needed to speak to service. The sales person said they would pass on to service the issue. I was called a few days later by another sales person, and they promised to pass the same message to service. I was called a third time by sales and as of yet (3+ weeks later) have not been contacted by anyone from David McDavid Ford. I paid a lot of $$ for a maintenance contract and Platinum extended contract and expect what I paid for, but McDavid service is not performing the service as stated on their contract and brochures. The contract is limited to their site only so I'm screwed for service unless I pay elsewhere that I trust. I'm curious if I will ever hear from McDavid and what they intend to do to correct what they have failed to do and improve their very poor service department and horrible communication skills. Sales department was awesome (Brandon Ball) as is their auto body. Lincoln was on schedule, great customer service skill and positive attitude. But... the McDavid service department is the worst I've ever dealt with. I do not trust they will do the work the work order states and definitely not on a timely basis. I do not recommend David McDavid Ford to anyone.... More
