Poor costumer service. Purchased a $50,000+ truck in March of 2017. Within the first 6 months the truck was in the shop for 40+ days for transmission issues. A year and a h Purchased a $50,000+ truck in March of 2017. Within the first 6 months the truck was in the shop for 40+ days for transmission issues. A year and a half in, the wheels started to peel. The service adviser told me that it was not under warranty because it fell under the 12 month warranty item. I had to call ford and explain the situation so they could approve the work. I did get new wheels however; it was not with the help of David McDavid. Lastly, I dropped my truck off on 3/8/19 for routine service (oil change, tire rotation) While in service I received a text stating they found an oil leak and could repair it while it was there for $139.95. I called and informed the service adviser my vehicle was still under factory warranty. That’s when things changed. I was told because it was warranty work; I would have to leave my truck at David McDavid for at least two weeks before a service tech could look at it. Then, once the tech determined what the issue was, I would be informed as to how long it would take to make the repair. In short, my truck would be there for minimum of 3 weeks. That wouldn’t have been a big issue however; I was told they could only provide a loaner vehicle for 4 days. I asked the service adviser if he could talk with the service manager to approve additional days while my truck was there. No response, so I called him back two days later and he told me he asked and the answer was “no”. I called ford to request approval and they told me I had to speak with the service manager. I called and left messages on 2 different occasions. No response. Thought maybe they weren’t receiving my messages. I called and left two messages for Steve Mansell (GM) with no response. Very disappointing. More

Scheduled appointment for warranty work I made an appointment for 12/21/2018 to have the new F-250 I had recently purchased inspected for a loud rattle in the door and knock in the engine. T I made an appointment for 12/21/2018 to have the new F-250 I had recently purchased inspected for a loud rattle in the door and knock in the engine. The service advisor informed me that it shouldn't take too long. Heard nothing back that day so I called Saturday morning, 12/22. I was informed the advisor that I spoke with was off work and that my truck had not been looked at and probably would not be looked at until after the first of the year. I spoke with the service manager who was disinterested. Apparently, "busted sunroofs and blown engines" were a bigger priority. If I needed my truck over the holidays I should come back and pick it up. No apologies for any inconvenience. It would have been nice to know all of this when I scheduled the appointment or at least when I dropped the truck off. More

Martin Greenburg Emotional Outburst My rating is in regards to a business transaction Dec 20,2018. A misunderstanding about wheels turned into Martin Greenburg entering a conversation h My rating is in regards to a business transaction Dec 20,2018. A misunderstanding about wheels turned into Martin Greenburg entering a conversation he was not involved in & my reaction of dissapontment after being informed I would have to return for a 4th trip from Dallas & (1 1/2hr each way) Greenburg flew off the handle & said " I'm giving you your check back". We were shocked at his demeanor, attitude & actions. I replied ok, that's fine with us because of his attitude & unprofessional rude outburst we agreed. I said if you want to give me back my Towncar & our $33k check we are good with that too . He actually challenged me & began to start an argument stating you said, then you said...I raised my hand, pointed at him insinuating he needed to stop & said I do not like your attitude he interrupted me & remarked " now you are pointing your finger at me & you are the only one talking" as he was raising his voice to argue. I turned away from him & said let's go get my check & my Towncar I am not arguing. That was my Merry Christmas car purchasing experience at David mcDavid. That's what Martin Greenburg did with the oppurtunity of creating a positive experience at the dealership he represents. We have owned Fords/ Lincolns since 1989, this was our 4th Lincoln purchase. This is the respect loyal customers experienced. We had gone to David McDavid within in 10 minutes of our home in Plano but we were wanting to purchase a 2017 Lincoln Continental & ft worth had the one we had decided on. Plano David McDavid treated us like KINGS. Ft Worth made everyone at McDavid look very bad. He left loyal customers feeling regrettable we ever walked into that dealership. We have left 3 messages for the General manager with no return call to date. It's been 5 days, with Christmas in there. If we dont hear back we will continue to pursue the matter contacting whomever needed to ensure Martin Greenburg doesn't treat anyone else this way. It was totally uncalled for, unacceptable & he should be removed from that position interacting with people if he cant control his reactions or negative behaviour. That kinda of negativity is contagious to everyone around him. He has obviously has become complacent with his job & should be reprehanded for it. I sat at the dealership on Wednesday & had to listen to him patronize & demean a customer on the phone for over 30 minutes & when he hung up, I couldn't believe what he said to his coworkers. I would hate to think my job required me to have to suck up to someone like that to keep my job. BTW I believe his "co-partner" was embarrassed because he seem to meander to where I was an apologize....for what happened. I wish we had NOT gotten the car. Our salesman Roger who was outstanding in his demeanor in his appearance & proffesionalisum asked that we proceed with the purchase. My husband said Roger told Greenburg to go away? He disappeared after me telling him we wanted nothing to do with him, especially since he insinuated himself into a situation he had no business with & had no clue what had transpired. He didn't even care to know. He actions were quite intentional & he was very comfortable in behaving that way. It happened so fast & we had invested a lot of time finding a car we wanted. However there a 1000's of Continentals out there for $33k....we were ready to walk away & because of Greenburgs behavior & lack of contact afterwards, we regret the purchase from them. By the time we left Ft Worth & stop to eat in Dallas, our cash check had already cleared the bank. Currently we are still waiting for General manager Steve Mansel to return our call. As we were walking out Martin Greenburg waited until I was almost out the door, past him, & rudley had the gauld to wave, being antagonistic. Proud of his actions. Martin Greenburg definitely isnt a TEXAS native, I just know, didn't ask, I just my opinion 12-26-18 update. We were contacted by the Director of Customer Relations Mike Ackles & I formed Steve Mansel G.M. had been out of town. After discussion of the issue we were assured there would be a follow up as well as contacting the G.M. It was very much appreciated. Within hours Steve Mansel G.M. contacted us. Having said that I do believe his sincerity was genuine. We've been assured of an investigation to ensure Martin Greenburg doesn'ttreat any other consumer as he did us & a follow up phone call. Very much appreciated it hoping the outcome will be a positive one. Remember, "its NOT the problem, it's how you handle it" can determine your growth. More

We emailed and called to tell the salesperson we would be there. We got there and the car had ‘just sold’ that morning. The communication was extremely poor as well. The sales people were never available when called. They would call back and leave a message. We would return the call and they didn’t answer. I got an email the day after I visited and asked when i wanted to see the car. I emailed back to see if the car was there and they said yes. SCAM. I would not recommend. More
Not What I Expected Brought my 2012 F250 6.7L to dealer for extended warranty coverage issued by Ford for Check Engine Light and DTC P20BA Reductant Heater and Sender Uni Brought my 2012 F250 6.7L to dealer for extended warranty coverage issued by Ford for Check Engine Light and DTC P20BA Reductant Heater and Sender Unit Fault. This was the only code thrown. After they performed the work, the check engine light is still on and DTC P20E (Reductant Pump Failure) is shown. The pump is attached to and sits on top of the Reductant Heater and Sender Unit which they just replaced. This fault was not showing up until they completed the work. They would not take any responsibility for this and it would cost me $740 to fix. In short, brought in for one DTC and left with a different DTC. They didn’t even change the oil as I requested. More
