Manipulative, rude, and unorthodox. Buyer beware! Do not shop at this manipulative dealership! I came in looking to purchase a new vehicle, a 2017 Ford Focus ST to be specific, which had been advertised at their dealership on autotrader.com for $24,662. It was a step above the Focus ST's base model, which normally sell for approximately $30,000 MSRP. Needless to say, I saw a golden opportunity to get the exact vehicle I wanted at a great discount. Prior to having gone to this dealership, I visited another dealership inquiring about the same model Focus ST. This dealership was selling it at the standard MSRP of $30,000. Without a down payment, I would have been charged $483 per month for this vehicle. It being much too steep, I obviously went to McDavid Ford to get a better price seeing as how the exact car I wanted was being sold for over $5000 less, which would essentially be the equivalent of a down payment. Having done the math, my payment should have been barely over $400 a month if I were to get McDavid's vehicle. When I'd arrived that day, after scheduling an appointment to meet with a sales representative, I was greeted, shown the vehicle, was taken for a test drive, et cetera. All very standard in your typical visit to a dealership. Nothing to complain about. After sitting down with the sales representative and being shown what my monthly payment would be, I was floored. McDavid Ford was attempting to sell me the vehicle, with no down payment for $557 a month! How is this possible? At the other dealership I visited, I was being charged $483 a month, for the exact same vehicle, over a 72 month finance at 1.9% APR. This dealership was selling it for $30,000. At McDavid, I was being charged $557 over a 72 month finance at 7% APR for a $25,000 vehicle. Do the math. It makes absolutely no sense. Even without the interest, $560 over 72 months adds up to be $40,000!!! Not only this, but Ford was advertising 1.9% APR and $1250 cash for a 72 month finance for those who qualified, which I did at the other dealership. McDavid Ford told me that I can only have the dealership discount and one of the Ford discounts, not all three, even though Ford discounts are separate from dealership discounts. After having figured the math, I told them that I wouldn't be able to make that payment as it was much too high, I even showed them the math of $560 over 72 months being $40,000 for a vehicle being sold at a $5000 discount. The salesman brought this to someone I assume was above him, and came back to explain it to me. The man he brought back was Vinny Losasso. Never have I met a more rude sales representative. He was far too abrasive and made the customer, me, out as if he was stupid. He whole-heartedly defended the financing and told me that it was "just the way it is". No. It isn't. The fact that you try to get away with screwing over a customer like this, then defend it is totally asinine. Not only this, but when they went back the third time to negotiate my payment, they FINALLY applied a military discount, knowing from the start that I was military! The customer isn't always as stupid as you think. After Vinny Losasso was done with his rude/crude sales techniques, they thought it was a good idea to justify their financing and defend the price by sending in the man behind the financing himself! They still defended it! How can a $30,000 car be financed for $483 a month, and a $25,000 car be financed for $557 a month over the same period of time? McDavid Ford will not be taking my business! Nor business from anyone I know! They are crooks. They will do anything to fatten their wallets with no regard held for the customer. Do not buy your next vehicle from this manipulative dealership! From the moment I spoke with Jesus Mireles Ibarra I knew I was going to buy this car. He was very curteous, direct about pricing and fees, and honest from the beginning. There was never a time where the price or terms of the loan were in question and I was always treated with respect. In fact, at the very end, they ended up getting me a MUCH BETTER interest rate than we had already agreed on, which lowered my monthly payment significantly! Pleasantly surprised from beginning to end! I will never buy another vehicle anywhere else, period! More
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. No one can answer a phone or question in a timely manner. I am from Chicago so I am not flying to Texas on a whim for a new car purchase. And when yo No one can answer a phone or question in a timely manner. I am from Chicago so I am not flying to Texas on a whim for a new car purchase. And when you do finally get ahold of a salesperson they are too lazy to tell you if you qualify for the rebates or not. So I assume to onus is on me to figure out my own price there? They cannot answer a question if auto show bonus or 1st responder cash is stackable on their price or not. They won't send you a set in stone price like Koon's Ford will. Koons plays a shipping added game, but they are still the best deal in the country when it actually comes to putting it on paper, answering a phone and answering my questions. McDavid Ford strikes me as a complete "clip joint" and bait and switch operation. I tried dealing with a guy nmed Mark and a women named Victoria. Neither is listed below. Sorry Rhonda, but I had to pick a salesperson in order to submit the rating and the other 2 aren't listed. More
HORRIBLE SERVICE - TIRE FELL OFF WHILE DRIVING We took 2007 Ford Ranger XLT truck in for oil change and tire rotation this past Saturday Feb 18th, we took a short trip Saturday and then on Sunday w We took 2007 Ford Ranger XLT truck in for oil change and tire rotation this past Saturday Feb 18th, we took a short trip Saturday and then on Sunday we drove to Dallas for lunch -- on our way back from lunch we got two miles from the restaurant and OUR TIRE/WHEEL FELL OFF!!!! Thank goodness we were only going about 30 mph at the time -- luckily Saturday when we were driving 75 mph it stayed on. So we had the truck towed to David McDavid Ford for them to repair. Monday we went into the office and talked to Mike Davis in the service department. He said "Oh we will fix it". And asked if we needed a rent car and we said yes thank you. Ford put us in a rent car and Mike Davis told us this was the 3rd time it had happened. Apparently the lug nuts were put on but not tightened enough when they rotated the tires on Saturday. He said the rule is "someone is going to lose their job". We left on Monday thinking Ford would take care of it. Never heard from them -- and noticed our truck had never been moved. Wednesday we went back into Ford and talked to Mike Davis again and he said they thought maybe someone had tried to take off the wheel at the restaurant on Sunday!!! He also requested our insurance adjuster come look at the damage to see if someone had tried to take the wheel off. So we contacted our insurance -- the adjuster came Friday and told us he couldn't tell -- just said " yes your tire came off". We talked to John Pheln - Sales Manager on Friday because Steve Mansell (General Manager) wasn't there. We are still in their rent car and they still haven't decided to fix our truck. I told Mr. Pheln we just want the truck fixed -- it could have been a lot worse -- we could have had an accident Saturday while we were driving on I35. We just want David McDavid Ford to make good on their POOR WORKMANSHIP!!! We have also noticed someone in a review said their lug nuts came off and they lost a tire. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!!! We just want some satisfaction!!! More

I bought my 2006 Ford F-250 from this dealership 10 years ago, and I' leased two PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles) back in 2013--a Fusion Energi and a C-Max Energi. The lease on both cars was due to end, and I approached Lynn Self in late Dec 2016 about replacing both vehicles. Lynn worked with me and let me know when my desired vehicles were available--2017 Fusion Energi and C-Max Energi. I came in, ran the numbers with Lynn and the sales manager (Brian), and closed the deal with the business manager (Dwight). Overall--the whole experience was very positive--and the key element (in addition to a quality Ford product) was Lynn Self. He is a dedicated professional who demonstrated every behavior you'd like to see when dealing with another person--engaging personality, knowledgeable about the products, expeditious in completing the paperwork, and considerate and caring in his personal interactions before, during, and after the sale. I'd highly recommend David McDavid Ford, and especially Lynn Self! More

He rushed the entire process too, didn't even explain what he was doing. He randomly kept walking out too and talking to other people. Unfortunately I didn't get approved but he straight up asked why did I bother to look at a vehicle if I knew I wasn't going to get approved, made me feel horrible and angry!!! He never even said bye when we finished up he just walked away. I left in tears just because he was so rude. More
