The letter stated "you are pre-approved for auto financing for a vehicle." I called the dealership connected with the Capitol One mailer. They told me I had to fill out a credit application. I stated I was pre-approved. they stated, "that's what Capitol One wants." I called Capitol One. I have the letter, time, dates and names of individuals I spoke to. I was told that Pre-approval did not mean approval. pre·ap·prove (pre'?-pro?ov') tr.v. pre·ap·proved, pre·ap·prov·ing, pre·ap·proves To approve (an applicant or an application for a loan, for example) at an earlier point in the approval process than is usual, sometimes even before an application is submitted: ap·prove (?-pro?ov') v. ap·proved, ap·prov·ing, ap·proves 1. To consent to officially or formally; confirm or sanction: The Senate approved the treaty. 2. To consider right or good: "He came to ask me ... whether I approved his choice altogether" (Jane Austen). 3. Obsolete To prove or attest. As you can see by the dictionary definition, pre-approve indeed means an approval beforehand. This is a classic case of bait and switch perpetrated by both Capitol One and Stewart Subaru 506 W Fruitvale Blvd, Yakima, WA 98902. I would like to receive correspondence about this issue as well as information concerning filing a class action law suit. More

Excellent service I couldn't be happier with my service. I had to get a head gasket repaired. I bought my Subaru from a used car dealer with a service plan, but they we I couldn't be happier with my service. I had to get a head gasket repaired. I bought my Subaru from a used car dealer with a service plan, but they were backed up so they referred me to Stewart Subaru to get the repair done sooner. Not only were they able to work with my service plan, they were able to offer several parts upgrades while they had my engine torn apart to save me from having to pay for the labor out-of-pocket later. Katie was super friendly and got me hooked up with a nice a loaner vehicle. They had my car fixed within three days...the last time I had a head gasket repaired (at another place) it took over two weeks! They had great communication and kept me updated on all the progress, which is something I have found lacking at several other auto repair places in Yakima. I don't know if they gave special labor rates on my service contract (which covered my repair), but the price didn't seem bad either. I've had to pay for head gasket repairs out-of-pocket on other vehicles before and the damage I saw on the bill from Stewart Subaru was quite reasonable. I absolutely 100% had a great repair experience and they treated me like a queen. Totally recommend. More

Messy & unprofessional! 1. I called to get a key fob replacment. I got a quote. I called a few other places. Called you guys back to make the appointment and got a totally di 1. When I told the guy his response was, "well maybe it was that number then, they are always changing things on me, but for now this is you number" its unprofessional to not have all your employees on the same page to begin with. Or teach them to not give out wrong information if they are unsure! 2. When i dropped the car off I will say the front service clerk (Analeigh) was very sweet and helpful. She informed me there was a recall on my car and wanted to know if i wanted to fix it now. I said yes. Now originally I planned to just wait for the car because it was only going to be 30 minutes, but now with a recall i had to get a ride & did. I got a call from Analeigh explaining they did not have the parts needed to fix the recall & we could reschedule for a different time. This kind of thing would of been useful information to begin with so I wouldn't of needed to get a ride. Frustrating but not a giat deal. 3. When i picked the car up my ignition was now sticking and was hard to turn on (acting like my tumbler was going out). Mind you, my tumbler has stuck before, but only 4 times in tge last 5 years total! I got out of the car to ask Analeigh about it but she already had a line & i needed to get to work. I continued to fumble with it until it let loose and finally started. When leaving work for lunch it did the same but worse! When i was leaving lunch to go back to work, it did it again but for longer. It was then i noticed my key was black when i pulled it out and there was an oily residue all over my steering column. All I can guess is the tech who worked on my car ran into it sticking and sprayed something into my ignition. All i ask is if a tech is going to do that , one, clean up the oil from around my dash & two, let a girl know so when it sticks worse than ever before I know why! 4. Upon futher inspection the packaging the fey fob came in was just left spreadout on my dash. This ones simple, pick up after your self! On a side note: my car is older and there for so was my key fob. The new key fob was an outragious cost! Along with has some extra buttons that i one, was ever explained about and two, have no function. Why am i paying for things i cant use! Seems rediculous! More

Wow—I am very impressed with how he takes his job seriously and made sure I was informed about what to expect and when. He definitely makes sure that the customer has a positive experience!! I also noticed how knowledgeable he was and answered questions from the rest of the staff and helped them to stay on task. If he isn’t in a managerial position now, I believe he would be great in that position. More
