Before you choose to buy from this dealership, please read my review. 11/24 I purchased a used GM certified vehicle with 13,000 miles on it. I was thrilled, I found the exact car that I had been searchin read my review. 11/24 I purchased a used GM certified vehicle with 13,000 miles on it. I was thrilled, I found the exact car that I had been searching for. 12/24 I had a check engine light come on, stranded me Christmas Eve. The dealership did not want to look at it because the CEL had cleared itself a few hours later. 1/9 issue happened again with 14,230 miles on it, they agreed to look at it. 1/11 dropped off car. 1/23 was told that the car was fixed and charged $350 for a new battery. 1/26 CEL came on again. 1/29 CEL on again, contacted dealership and the soonest they could get me in was 2/11. 1/31 car was no longer drivable, gages bouncing up and down, error messages continually scrolling across dash, if it started it ran very rough, most of the time it would not start at all. Left three messages and no one would return my call. 2/6 sent email to used car manager and he had my car towed in and told me that I would be refunded the $350 that I paid for the battery - which has not yet happened. When the service department got around to looking at it, the issue was not happening, so they drove my car home with them and had people drive it hoping for the issue to happen again. No luck. 2/27 dealership notifies me that they cannot fix the car and states that someone will be contacting me to "make things right". They asked me what other vehicles I would be interested in - I wanted this specific vehicle and searched for this car for months. The only options they gave me had over 60k miles - if I wanted a higher mileage car I would have kept the one I had and loved with 66k miles on it. They then proceeded to offer me $989 less than I paid for the car to buy it back from me. Sounds like a fair deal until you factor in that I would be losing at least $5037 on the deal. I paid taxes and fees that they said they would not reimburse me for. I paid for their paint protection and Pulse rear light system that they said they would not reimburse me for because "they don't get refunded for it", but when I looked into it, guess who owns the company that provides these services? The owner of McCluskey Chevrolet. I also paid for an extended warranty that will not cover the issue that is going on with my car - why you ask? Because the issue existed BEFORE I bought it. McCluskey knew about it because they saw the codes and actually drove the car 1500 miles trying to make the issue happen before it was sold to me, but the issue didn't happen so they decided to sell it. Also - another side note, that vehicle warranty company is also owned by McCluskey Chevrolet owner Keith McCluskey. They would not reimburse the cost of the warranty, but said that I would have to deal with the warranty company to cancel it and then I would be refunded the cost prorated to what I used. 2/28 I sent an email to the person who made me the buy-back offer stating that it is not acceptable to me that I am going to lose over $5000 because they sold me a vehicle that they knew had an issue at the time of sale and did not disclose that to me. No response. I sent an email to the General Manager stating the same thing. No response. I called and left the General Manager a voice message asking him to return my call to discuss. No response. This dealership does not care about you once the sale is made. My choices are to lose at least $5000 and return the vehicle - I traded in my other vehicle, so this will leave me with nothing to drive, or take back my vehicle that has electrical issues that they cannot fix and are not covered under my extended warranty - all because they sold me a vehicle with an existing issue that they did not disclose. Update: My temp tag expires next week, and still don’t have paperwork to get tags in my state. I’m sure they will find a way to mess this up, or give me another excuse. Well, I will get the positives o have paperwork to get tags in my state. I’m sure they will find a way to mess this up, or give me another excuse. Well, I will get the positives out of the way first: they did get my approved credit wise, and they did find my dream truck. Please note, this place also operates under online.cars. Otherwise, dealing with McCluskey Chevy has been an absolute nightmare. There is a major lack of communication, lies, and no honesty out of anyone. After getting approved and placing my down payment, I had to beg for loan documents to be emailed to me before delivery. I was told one monthly price by the salesman, only to be told another by the finance manager, who was very rude and short when I asked questions. Seems like they dont like being bothered. Even told me the salesmen don’t know what they are doing, which is an understatement. Perhaps they should find a new job! I was promised by my salesman the vehicle would be delivered by truck. I get a call from the delivery driver, who was the best person of all to deal with, that he is driving the truck. So, by the time the vehicle gets to me, it has another 700 miles on it! It was delivered nearly 9pm on a Sunday Night! Quick sign the papers, with no copies provided to me, other than they will be mailed. No demo of the vehicle or delivery inspection offered. Driver even admitted he was unable to get vehicle washed, and it arrived very dirty to me. Second day of ownership, check engine light comes on. Would be nice to know the procedures for using extended warrenty, but I have zero paperwork for the vehicle, and don't even have an owners manual. I was told by salesmen, take it to any GM dealer. I was told by the fianace manager I would have to pay every two weeks. The finance company said that is not required. Overall, I'm happy with the truck, but the constant run around, lies, and lack of customer service will be the reason I would NEVER purchase another vehicle from McCluskey Chevrolet/ online.cars! Well, I left my truck as scheduled on a Friday 8am. Nobody told me it would have to spend the night and then the whole weekend there as the service would not start before Monday. Nobody called to give Nobody told me it would have to spend the night and then the whole weekend there as the service would not start before Monday. Nobody called to give me any status. Nobody provided any status and the agents never returned my calls or messages. With that, I picked up my car without being serviced. And I will never return to that dealership for any business. More
