I called and made appointment for Volt recall per the Certified letter from GM president. I was told by the rep that I had to wait for 10 days for parts to arrive and that appointment would take 3 hours Certified letter from GM president. I was told by the rep that I had to wait for 10 days for parts to arrive and that appointment would take 3 hours. Well if any of that were the truth the. I would be fine. Upon arrival I was essentially laughed at and told they could "fix my tire" and that I had my facts wrong. I cannot begin to imagine how or why they can make an appointment, tell me they are waiting for the parts and even give me a time frame estimate if they had no intention of actually doing anything. So after the 10 days I was forced to wait for this hassle and waste of a work-day the offer from GM to buy the Volt back from any buyers who were concerned about its safety--offer rescinded !! The ultimate bait and switch. Not sure if GM instructed its dealers to lie in this manner but It is highly suspicious. As for why the dealer has chosen to handle its business in this manner is nothing short of despicable. In short, do not trust this dealer! More
I tried a few other dealerships in the area, and the promise never matched up to delivery. I had almost given up when I was put in touch with Dan Hoffman. Best customer service EVER!! I would to say thanks to McCluskey Chevrolet staff for taking care of the problem I was having with my HHR. I had called Chevrolet customer service and they weren't being of much help with the issue. From the time of the appointment to showing up at the dealer, McCluskey was very professional in taking care of the issue. The waiting room with the T.V. plus free food was like being taken care of at a Rolls Royce dealer. The service consultant Karen Wey keep me up to date on what was going on and is a A+ to the McCluskey dealership. Being up set that I was having a problem with my car before I got there, Karen made sure everything was right before I left and made the experience a good one. Being an ex General Motors employee of 15 yrs. I still believe in buying American products. Thanks again to Karen Wey and the McCluskey staff. My car buying experience at McCluskey Chevrolet was excellent from start to finish. My salesperson was friendly, courteous & professional. This review is long overdue, but McCluskey Chevrolet is only one of many dealers I have worked with and without a doubt, the absolute best, in my experience. I had purchased a new 2010 Cobalt and experienc only one of many dealers I have worked with and without a doubt, the absolute best, in my experience. I had purchased a new 2010 Cobalt and experienced a ridiculous amount of mechanical issues within the year that I owned it. After months of strenuous issues and being in and out of the shop, I was able to forfeit the vehicle under the lemon law and GM "buyback". Gm agreed to put me in a new car for the same MSRP as the Cobalt, which ultimately lead me to the 2011 Cruse that I currently own. I was new to this type of transition, very concerned about the outcome of the whole thing and had all but lost confidence in GM as a corporation and vehicle maker. The terms of the buyback did not restrict me to any certain dealer and I was warned by GM that finding a dealer to participate may be difficult because they would not receive any type of incentives, as this was not considered a new car purchase. Frustration mounted slowly as I began the process, it seemed GM was changing the terms and giving me the run around, all while the Cobalt sat in McCluskey's service center awaiting several major repairs and I was in my 8th rental of the year. Just as I was about to pull out of the whole deal and file a lawsuit against GM, I was paired with an advocate at McCluskey. Her name was Karen Shepard and she turned out to be an unbelievable asset to my case and my peace of mind. She knew how busy my schedule was and went far above and beyond her normal duties to ensure that I remained a satisfied customer. Karen, along with Mike Mullins, who had sold me the Cobalt as a result of my 2-year car/credit repair mission, made an incredible team and worked very closely with me through the entire process. Karen took a very brief e-mail from me and found the exact car that I wanted, which was the 2011 Chevy Cruze Eco, 6-Speed. She ended up trading in an owed favor to another deal in town in order to get a hold of the Cruze that she hand-picked, based on what little she knew about me personally and a few details I had ironed out. Even after they obtained the car, GM dragged their feet through the process and it sat on the lot for weeks while paperwork was completed. Between Walt, Mike and Karen, they broke all the "Dealer Rules" and held the car in inventory and provided me a special 6-Speed Cruze to drive in the meantime... just so I could get a feel for the manual transmission I had selected in my ECO. After all was said and done, the Cruze that I drive today is the best vehicle I have ever owned and I feel like this car was manufactured with me in mind... this is saying a lot considering how much I loved my Cobalt. I have an overwhelming gratitude to them each and every time I drive this car. The terms of the Buyback allowed me to finance at a lower dollar amount than that of the Cobalt, for what I believe, is a far superior vehicle. Mike Mullins fought long and hard to find me the best financing available, with my credit being only slightly repaired after a years time and succeeded. He was able to get my payment down a $100.00 a month and my interest down by 6% from my previous loan. Not to mention, the Cruze could not be a more perfect fit for me... as Karen boasted during the entire process... she knew for a fact that I would love the car. Though the process was very stressful and slow coming, each team member from McCluskey, from the service department to the upper management, were more than just salesmen and women, they almost felt like a different type of family. I only say that because of the feeling I got when I walked in with all my problems. It was a feeling of comfort and security, like they wouldn't settle for anything less than me being taken care of. That is not only extremely rare to find in the Vehicle distribution industry, it is rare to find true advocates of this caliber, at any establishment. I am not sure if this conglomeration of individuals is a stroke of luck or genius, but as a team, they are the paramount of legitimacy in the world of new cars of any brand. There are a million and one details I simply do not have time to include, but if you are in the market for a vehicle, I would and have recommended these professionals above any that I have been to.. which is all of them in Cincinnati and NKY. I will never again shop for a vehicle anywhere else and will continue to drive past several Chevrolet Dealers on my way to McCluskey for service or to buy, simply because they give a xxxx.
